The icing on the "Who's Your Daddy" promo to me is that Shawn is wearing Bret's colors. The black suit and more importantly the pink tie are just subtle enough to not seem unusual, but something that was surely done deliberately.

Shawn’s incessant dancing followed by the bump he took when triple h as McMahon told him to knock it off? One of the funniest things I can ever remember seeing in wrestling. Could’ve done without the “poop” being dropped on the mcmahons and ss but for the hilarity that led up to it I’ll give it a pass

May 10, 1999 HBK returned as the WWE Commissioner and made all the matches for the night including being involved in almost every segment of the show. He also was the REF for the Main Event. That was the highest rated Episode of Monday Night Raw of all time with a phenomenal 8.1 rating. That should be on this list.

Best part though of the Montreal promo is what Shawn said he’d do if he and Bret ever saw each other again. Flash forward to 2010, and in Bret’s return promo, before burying the hatchet, Shawn literally said what he said he’d say. Albeit in a more mature adult, less heelish fashion!

I think I was about 12 years old at a house show in Albany, NY. This was Shawn before he even won his first IC title. They sent the Fink out to inform the crowd that "Ladies and Gentlemen, Shawn Michaels has left the building." Good heat.

Even now I love that " STAN KICK" I think around the same period when Shawn was suspended?? (that may not have been the story) but he was working as a chef somewhere and all I remember is him kicking a little girl off screen and salad flying into the air... I laughed hysterically when I first saw that as a boy... even after watching a DVD about the older moments of DX when I was a kid I still found some of the newer moments hilarious especially the Mcmahon family parody.. I still love that.

To be honest there's enough for another video - but two I'm surprised didn't make the initial list were his promo on Vince at WM15 and the one I'd put close to Montreal, the epic performance as guest referee in the Mania HIAC match between Taker and Triple H. Just the way he sold everything they did, and the conflict building inside him, to the point he took direct action before they killed each other. Amazing.

I agree with HBK reffing the HHH/UT HitC match at WM 28. The match would simply have been yet another overrated finish-fest if not for HBK's emotion. Nobody did "on the edge of a nervous breakdown" quite like late 2000's/early 2010's HBK. One moment I'm surprised didn't make the list is HBK going through the Jeri-Tron 3000 during his 2008 fued with Jericho.

Post return Shawn could've benefitted greatly from a prolonged heel run, with wrestlers of the past confronting him about his past antics, or at the very least, play up his conniving ways. Shawn's Montreal promo is his best heel promo ever and if it sparked a heel run afterwards, I doubt anyone would've cared given he was far more respectable after his return from retirement. Now let's just continue to ignore the Saudi show.
