I really never realized how much drama there is when someone has a band. A good friend of mine started a band and they were actually doing pretty good. They even had the local radio station playing their songs. Then within one week everything changed. First the lead guitar player quit on a Monday my friend was able to replace him pretty quickly with another friend who was familiar with their music and helped write some of it. After that crisis was over that Thursday the drummer quit and after that happened my friend's wife gave him a ultimatum either stop performing with the band or she would leave him. By the next day on Friday his band was completely gone and unfortunately his wife stayed with him. I'd love watching your videos it's hard not to have a smile on your face after watching it.

I'm fan of the ol' "Creative Differences" route rather than just explaining everything that I find wrong with the band that I'm in.

#8 actually happened in my life. My two vocalists were offered to play in a bigger band in the capital with hopes of playing overseas. So they left 3 days later after they told me without even bothing for a replacement. We lost all our shows and out-of-town gigs. So we started again from scratch with new vocalists and we even got bigger than before. Them on the other hand sufferred under a cruel tyranny from their band leader, got lesser cut, and did not even made it abroad. To top it off, all bars in their strip was closed for cleaning (it was a tourist spot and was becoming dirty all those years it hadn't been cleaned). They went home even more broken, sad, penniless and no band. Lol. #karmaisabitch

Actually the elite way is: When at your first gig that just happens to be in the centre of Paris, sing/play just slightly of key, not enough that your audience can recognise, but the pitch-perfect egomaniac that’s playing the piano does and kicks you out when you get back to England. That way the band feels like they did the right thing, no one will ever no why you were kicked, and you want have to officially leave. Now you start a solo career, be more popular than them, and get them to be a side act at your first tour, that just happens to be in the same park in Paris. And you open with the same set you played with them. And then they realise it’s you and that they have been played from the start.

I don’t mean to bash on any videos, but as far as the “10 Whatever the Hell” Videos, this one is the most unique and funny one Jared’s done in a long time. A lot of them have very similar jokes and always the same camera angles. But this one is a fresh take with new interesting jokes that are pulled off differently and as far as camera work, completely switching styles frame to frame and being unique are dope for a change! It’s so sick to see Jared evolving and pushing his work! I love this video and whoever is his videographer is doing great trying new things as well. I love it and am hella proud!

Its been so many years ago but i was in a band and we had spent two years getting a following locally. One of the owners of a club that we had made our home wanted to manage us and set up an east coast tour. Would be driving a station wagon and towing our equipment but for us we felt like we were really starting to take off. We were to meet at the club to sign a contract with the owner in a couple days, he was going to bank roll a demo and so we could have something to push while we were on the road. When i told my wife, we had just had our first child, she said if you go we wont be here when you get back. Our drummer, who to this day is and was one of the greatest drummers ive ever played with, had recently gotten engaged and his better have told him basically the same thing. We never signed, we slowly broke up over the next year and a half. 5 years later i end up divorcing my wife anyways. For a long time i beat myself up over what might have been. But you gotta let that crap go, it will kill you. Focused on my kids and myself and im a happy man. But every now and then i think i wonder what would have happened if...
