The best way for me to describe an INFP is "Still waters run deep " I think they encapsulate this motto .

"INFPs Thrive in Chaos" i can relate so hard with the yakuza story. i, as an INFP, felt my whole life strangely calm in dangerous situations. to make my stories short. i got threatend with a knife right in front my stomuch. i was about 16 y/o there, i just got robbed 20 bucks. but i was pretty calm about it, while my friend was deeply shocked afterwards and while it happened. same friend different story with 2 addicts that were both way older than us. we were about 20 y/o. my friend did stupid decisions. i was again very calm, even when they threatened us multiple times in subtle ways, to stab our eyes out and stuff. on the right moment, i just said to my friend "run". i grabed his arm and ran as fast as i could, and somehow i had fun :D. i talked with my friend, so he calms down. the addicts were just 2 randoms, so they don't know anything about us. that meant we were safe. maybe cuz of this. plus many other factors. i am so drawn to skateboarding :D. calculated chaos combined with an hobby what strangely activates my passion towards it. i ask myself so often, why a skateboard. such a simple thing. can bring me so incredible much joy :D. now i can atleast roughly tell, why things are how they are for me personally. for reference, i am a 29 y/o male now but i think the most important thing is: myers briggs tests are indicators. not set rules. peace

"INFPs thrive in chaos" No wonder... well, i do well when i'm under pressure *most of the time* but not all the time, i heavily dislike it when it's revolving around *me* and i have to solve *my* own problem, but i can solve other problems no problem

I hear you on the robot thing. At one point I felt like my emotions were so strong that the only way to function was to repress them.

I feel you. The only problem is that it doesn't pan out very well, and things started to improve significantly after I had torn the walls down that I had constructed around my Fi.

When I was a kid I made my parents recycle and have a special closet for it. I’m 53 now so recycling wasn’t popular. I drove them crazy and gave them heartfelt lectures 😂 Now my kids have to deal with it

ENFP here: Beautiful! Thank you for allowing me to understand the INFPs more. Personally, when I spend time with INFPs, they have a way of calming my chaotic world and helping me live with my emotions. Also, I find it very interesting that your aunt is an ISFP. My aunt is an ESFP.....

Your comment on thriving in times of chaos resonated with me. It made me reflect on some times where that has been true for me. Years ago, I was trained as a workplace medic. I was amazed at how much people panic in accident scenes, but I was almost serene, directing people to assist and otherwise doing what I was trained to do.

Glad to hear! Interesting profession. The calm is kind of zen-like weird, isn’t it? I actually under react imo…

I’m an infp and I thrive as a medic! I love the chaos and unknown next adventure and I care about the ppl I take care (but able to partition my mind when it gets really bad). And I enjoy only having one coworker to talk and get to know for the 12 hr shift and not be bombarded with multiple coworkers and emotions to figure out and can have good conversations with ppl I otherwise would not approach.

Tank you so much!!! Especially the "chaos" part was enlightening for me. The Corona Time was so confusing in the beginning for everyone else ... except for me and my son (also INFP) 😅 NOW I know why...

About 7:50 "powerful moral compass". We were clearing the office kitchen pre-renovation. I was watching my collegues dumping perfectly usefull stuff into a big trash bin. I recovered a few nice items (i.e. a couple of glass vases). Then I stood there watching for a brief moment and said "I need to go away from here 'cos otherwise I'll end up salvaging half of the stuff you're throwing away." And I left. 🙈 /INFP

For good and bad, yes. If I had to, I’m sure I could call some people for support, but that would definitely be the last resort. I have some friends / acquaintances that got tangled up in that stuff and it is not good. But hey, I do think it’s good to have a bunch of interesting life stories.

@@GeekPsychology It’s just hard when certain high-volume ways of being in the world are encouraged or seemingly celebrated while different, quieter ways are ignored or casually criticized. And even though ppl say you shouldn’t care what others think, it’s human nature to want to fit in, to care what your close ones think…and it’s even essential to fit in at work. As an INFP, this daily compensation is tiring and leaves me a bit sad to feel out of place nearly everywhere. So this video was like a drink of fresh, cool water I didn’t know I needed. It’s invaluable to hear about the things I love about myself framed in a positive way. You described my experience of moving through the world so perfectly that I was reminded that what I often see as weaknesses to hide are actually strengths to be enjoyed. Thank you!! 💕

It's funny, I absolutely resonate, used the same words about 36 hours ago, saying to my estp loved one, that I was stuck in a repetitive loop thinking stuff about him the hour before 🤭

@@GeekPsychology I let myself enjoy it some time, let it go, I enjoy it, it was fun dreamy thoughts, and I let go and do daily tasks. With more ease on myself I have less difficulties on it, and as I grew older I got more ease on myself and appreciation, I let myself dream or vizualize or loop, and am more active and functioning and more healthy at the same time.

@@GeekPsychology And talking about it. I tell my estp loved one and my infj platonic one about everything, we know eachothers profiles, and get different visions of eachother.

Weird question, but I'm just curious -- what do you think about Star Wars - The Last Jedi? Specifically, the controversy surrounding Luke's characterization... None of it is out of character if Luke is an INFP. Is that weird? I mean.... In "A New Hope," Luke Skywalker is an INFP. In "The Empire Strikes Back," Luke Skywalker is an INFP. In "Return of the Jedi," Luke Skywalker is an INFP. In "The Mandalorian/Filoni-Verse," Luke Skywalker is an INFP. In "The Force Awakens," Luke Skywalker is an INFP. In "The Last Jedi," Luke Skywalker is an INFP.
