I'm 27 and I have always struggled with bad posture and back pain. These block poses have helped me understand how to truly relax and keep my chest high. I dont think I ever truly relaxed before these videos.

So sorry to hear that! Back injuries are definitely tough to heal, and sometimes leave it’s tracks. I’d recommend asking your dr. if these poses would be of help for you. With a consistent routine and babying the injured area you may see some positive progress. ❤️

No, you shouldn’t feel nauseated but the poses may trigger things like vertigo. If these movements make you nauseated I recommend not doing them and just checking in with your doctor to ask why it could be.

Any thoughts on a good alternative to a block for this one? I used a bunched you pillow, but it didn’t seem right. Thank you!

Ofcourse! So many alternatives! For under the hips, You can stack some books 4-5 inches high, then tape them so they dont move or simply wrap a thin blanket over them. I like to wrap a blanket over books because it feels better. For the block under the heart/upper back you can tightly roll a towel or blanket. I also sometimes use a lumbar pillow, the one I have is pretty firm so I just turn it on it’s side and it offers a similar effect as the rolled up towel or blanket. If you do roll up a towel or blanket make sure it’s tight and firm it will allow a little more pressure under the heart/upper back. I hope these alternatives help. Nothing will be the same as a block but an alternative is better than nothing! ❤️❤️
