“According to the NBA rulebook, it is not illegal for one player to climb onto his teammate's shoulders and play as one unit.” The first result when I looked up mark’s question, the maneuver is theoretically legal
@@dat_fast_boi So You need a stack of people tall enough to fall forward so that the top player can dunk in the basket before any of them fall onto the ground on the other side of the 3 point line.
I didn’t realize that was Tyler until I read the comments. I genuinely thought that was bob the whole time that I had to rewatch it to actually here Tyler.
I spent an embarrassingly long time watching Mark's Bigfoot video with Tyler under the belief it was Bob and they were just playing without Wade that day
I was just thinking how funny it was the these maneuvers were basketball-related. I mean, they're his one and two moves, and they relate to something he doesn't do at all. Wait, no, that kind of tracks.
@@elusivegamergirl Ha! As if he'd have only one maneuver, you simple-minded fool. Mark has a multiplicity, nay, a legion of maneuvers, all greater and more impressive than the last.
@@azalea-P yeah, and it solves the problem. You don’t need them wearing the jerseys while they’re on the bench, just let them wear some stuff they can rip off immediately if necessary
Just wait until he learns about rugby in that case, if he hasn't already. That's the only sport I can think of where it's not only allowed, but encouraged in certain situations
I remember one japanese game where they enemy team have to climbe up to make fall a Big pilar while the other team needs to stop them anda they climbe each other, thats the Game for mark
As someone who grew up in a very sports-enthused family, how clueless Mark is is adorable. Reminds me of when my little sister finally wanted to learn the rules of basketball so she could understand what was on tv 🥺
I’m pretty sure autocorrect changed “doesn’t” to “does” but now I’m thinking about if there was a person who had knowledge of every single sport, but only one rule or aspect of it each. 😂
There, uh, might be a problem with that. I don’t think people would be huge fans of their star athletes being mangled, shot, exploded, or crushed to death on a regular basis…
I love how Mark is just like a manchild in these and is best at just making moves up, I thought he'd recommend jumping from the 3 point line and dunking it lol
I like how his dynamic with Tyler is the complete opposite of his dynamic with Ethan most of the time. Like with Ethan he’s like oh yes I am so manly and I Know Things and with Tyler…like you said, manchild.
he managed to make a casual conversation about basketball rules turn into a dramatic moment of a mother giving birth to a child in a changing room. Fascinating
I love this podcast so much. It strikes the perfect balance of “I want to know more about sports” and “I don’t have the energy to care.” Like I don’t want to become a sports nerd, but I want to be able to communicate with my sports nerd friends. And Mark and Tyler make it so fun!
I fucking love these animations something about Tyler and Mark's insanity plus the art style makes me laugh until I'm asthmatically wheezing every time
You really do. I'm not much of a sport person but listening to Tyler talk about a specific sport makes me learn some things. And it's also just a funny podcast to listen to
I love how most of the time Tyler is trying to explain something Mark just interrupts him with the most random of questions he could possibly ask. This is the most chaotic duo I've ever seen have a podcast and I absolutely love it.💖💖💖
If anyone has a hole in their life: Australian Rules Football (AFL) totally DOES allow U to climb other players, and this is infact how many magnificent "Marks" (catches) are made. Players literally run up eachother's backs then jump to get super high up. There's compilation videos 🏈
i don’t think this man knows just how much he’s affected my life positively, made me smile and simply just motivated me to keep working hard. have so much love for him!
Yeah I'd LOVE to know the origin of the whole idea for Go My Favorite Sports Team because I'm sure it probably arose out of an actual conversation where Tyler was trying to explain some sport to Mark and it devolved into hilarity.
Mark suggesting the players climb on the backs of other players is exactly what AFL players do when attempting to catch the ball. Also, unlike other types of Football, in Australian Rules football you CAN use other players as a springboard XD
The animation is amazing and hilarious, as someone who has tried animation before, I have A LOT of respect for animators, so much work goes into it. And the little details just make it perfect
When I was in football, in my last game, I jumped at the person with the ball and somehow managed to land sitting on his shoulders like parents do with their kids at amusement parks and stuff. I then stayed there while my whole team caught up and brought him down by the legs, it took 5 of us including me to take him down. But the greatest part is that the refs either didn't care or were so dumbfounded by that, that they didn't throw a flag for it and we didn't get any sort of penalty
0:57 In this moment, Mark is literally me when it comes to Basketball. I've played before, but I still have no idea how to play a certain position our coach would give me. And it came to the point where the teachers who came to watch our matches would question if I actually knew how to play the game. I didn't take it to heart though, because I'm not that passionate towards the sport. I just like it. But when I get in the court however, my mindset was, If I have the ball, IMMEDIATELY pass it to a teammate if they're in the open. To this day, I still don't know which opposing player I should keep watch on when we're on defense. And it's pretty ironic because I live in a country where Basketball is a very VERY popular sport, wherever you go, you'll see a homemade half court, or even a full court.
I need at least 100 more videos like this of Mark trying to understand sports. There needs to be a series where Bob takes him through every sport so I can get more animated masterpieces
From talking about the extra two players, to gushing about Shaq. From competing with sock sizes, to talking about birthing a basketball player. Mark and Tyler never fails to make me smile and they are amazing at entertaining
I love how most of the time Tyler is trying to explain something Mark just interupts him with the most random of questions he could possibly ask. This is the most chaotic duo I've ever seen have a podcast and I absolutely love it.
As well as the funny and informative convo between Tyler and Mark (I love Go! My favourite sports team, especially cause I don't know sports), the animation in this video just ties everything perfectly. I love this style, and I certainly wouldn't have imagined this scene in any other way. Hats off to the animator!
I've put off listening to this podcast for a while maybe now I'll start listening. By the title i honestly this was going to be that one wade story about violent basketball
Yo I love how good the animators are getting each time they make these videos. I went to their respective channels and you can see how much they have improved. Ya'll are doing great, keep up the good work!
They only have 13 uniforms. If someone gets injured, one of the guys on the bench has to rip the uniform off their broken body and wear it themselves. I also have no idea about sports.
