Very useful thanks. I’ve just bought a ‘19 765RS and even before I collect it my mate has invited me to tour Scotland. Reassuring to know I don’t have to trade it in for a Tracer 7!
They are such great, great bikes. Best middle weight out there. A tank bag and a pair of soft pannier bags, it will take you anywhere. Carol's bike has been to the Alps, France, Switzerland, Italy and Scotland. Loads of vids on the channel touring those places. Enjoy your bike and thanks for watching
Brilliant break down of the touring accessories. Was really helpful to see them being attached and detached. I'm getting one of these bikes in a few weeks and was looking around to see what people recommended to mod/upgrade etc. Your vid has been the best so far! Thank you
Thanks for posting. As a result I have also obtained a rear number plate bracket mounted mudguard. The biggest bugbear of the bike was road crud up my back!! Hopefully now sorted. Cheers.
Brilliant video, i like the tanklock bags, very handy for daily use, saves wearing a rucksack. Panniers looks great too. Nice to watch how you fit these things to the bike, you can't tell how easy or difficult its gonna be before purchasing,
Thanks for posting this video,I've just bought a 2014 StripleR & I will need to get some luggage for it. I've also ordered that rear mudguard you've fitted, living in Lancashire we get the occasional rainy day...
Thanks for sharing. Will be very useful to someone that hasn't toured on the Street before. If anyone reading is thinking is it up to the job I can also confirm it is! Just fitted Blaze panniers to another bike for an 11 day trip and want to try them on the STR also. Used Kriega 30ltr before but the Blaze may be more practical. Either way, happy riding :-)
Going to get my license soon. Looking for a great first bike with some weekend touring capabilities. Fz6 s2 and this street triple are my favorites so far. Thanks for this video!!
Good luck with your license. So many great things to see on a bike. It's also a great community of people. Lots of choices out there for a first bike The Street is s quick bike but still friendly and light which is important. Take care and thanks for calling by our channel
Just an update on the one tooth down on the front sprocket. Mrs rode the bike and much prefers slow speed maneuvering now, can go down to 10mph clutch out. Tried duel carriageway still not too revvy. Much more like her old Street she says
Geez I thought that was for sale also. Lol I like the SW Blaze panniers, but too tight to spend £240 on them, so I just strap a 35L Lomo Dry rucksack on the back. Posh bike your missus has. Lomo make the same gear as Overboard, but at a cheaper price.
You've only got to look at the tour vids on this channel, my wife has toured Europe on this this bike with the modifications we've done. The bike is at about 24,000 miles now without issues. Thanks for watching and have a good Christmas
Thanks for taking the time to let us know. We made this vid a while ago but still have the bike and it's been super reliable. Best regards Richard & Carol
Well put together and informative, I'm looking at a Speed Triple for longer trips and wondering if it's practical so this was a good video to watch on a similarly laid out machine.
@@Banditmanuk I've been looking at a Speed Triple for my style of riding, which is typically day rides or longer and think the Tiger Sport might be the smarter choice, I love the look of the Speed but it does seem more leaned over in the sport position, at near 50 I have to let go of the Racer stance in afraid, hard to choose a new machine these days, I'm torn Bryan the MT10 or Tiger Sport 1050
Nice setup, I am considering the tank bags and possibly the rear luggage for myself, mostly for getting to/from work. Do you think the they would be big enough to fit a 13" Macbook?
Hi Todd, Had a very quick measure and I think the max tablet size for the panniers is about 12" x 10" and the tank bag about 12" x 9" but the only way for sure is to take your Macbook to a supplier and see if it will fit. Hope that's at least some help. 👍
@@Banditmanuk thanks heaps for checking :) here in Australia usually this kind of thing needs to be ordered online which can make things difficult but I'll hunt around and see what I can find.
Deeeproots Gaming She had the flyscreen on her previous Street. Trouble with screens is you often get buffeting if its not a huge screen. Sometimes its just better to get clean air hitting your helmet. We've taken the decision to leave the Street and my MT10 screen less. It also helps remind us not to ride at stupid speeds
Hi, thanks for this, most interesting. May I enquire as to the Tail Mudguard contraption and whether you still use it and its effectiveness. I went the tail tidy route but am riding all weathers and getting absolutely drenched. So I am seriously considering refitting the original plate holder and buying and fitting this very mudguard. Cheers
Yes we still use the mudguard you can see it in many newer vids. Think it was made for the Australian Market by Triumph but Jack Lilly Triumph sourced it for me then.
@@Banditmanuk many thanks, after much searching with local triumph dealer we found the part number. Listed only for 675 and triumph confirmed it, I took the risk and spent the 35£. Fits like a glove on my 765 as I expected. And boy what a difference, works as well as I could hope for.. I'm going to make it plug and play so I can quickly swap between the evotech and this. Many thanks
@@SUPERMOTOJAK When I was doing this, summer was over and I was commuting daily and I didn't think it looked too bad, so left it on. However, I have since sold the bike, moved to Tracer 900GT (much more practical) but am about to move again to Ninja 1000SX!

The bike is perfectly comfortable to ride fully loaded with all the accessories on. My wife rode it all the way from England down to the Pyrenees and back last summer with no issues. See it in action here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8vo6cuWT6BI.html
Great video, really informative, will be sure to pick myself up some rokstraps in the future. Picking my street triple R up on monday. Quick question, is the quickshifter both up and down or is it just up?
When you change gearing does the speedo affect it? Or does it get wheelspeeds from the abs ring sensor? That the only thing why i never changed the tooth in the front although i also think its too long luckily the changed it on the 765
Hello, very intereting vid, thanks. I'm from France and I am not able to find out the rear mudguard you mounted. Could you tell me the part number, if you know it ? I visited Jack Lilley website but I didn't see it. Thanks.
Dams Rigaud if you can give me an e-mail I will forward you the e-mail sent to me from Jack Lilley with an attached PDF drawing, the part numbers required and the prices from 2016 in £
@@Banditmanuk Useful video - thanks. i would also be interested in the rear guard as I'll be touring next month. Please mail to pat.coneley@btinternet.com
Great video and your wife definitely has some very worthwhile additions! I have a 2016 exactly the same. Use the bike everyday for commuting and I agree with you completely that you get covered in road dirt the minute it starts raining and it's not pleasant. Looking to get the mudguard which your wife has on hers. When you bought the mudguard from Jack Lilley's did you require any other fasteners other than the just the plastic mudguard itself? www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/5596539/street-triple-from-vin-560477/rear-mudguard-no-plate-brkt
with you saying you are to big for the street triple , how big are you ? as i am looking to get a street triple r which are a little taller , but i am 6,2 banditmanuk
BIGM I'm an inch and a half taller but unfortunately quite wide at 18stone. I can ride and enjoy the Street but personally I'm cramped. A younger guy (I'm in my 50's) would probably cope longer and be happier.
G'Day m8! You say you are too big for this bike? What height, inseam and weight are you please? I was considering buying a STreet Triple if I could get occasionally touring accessories like you have demonstrated and I am 6'2" and 105Kg. You think not comfortable?
