To all you Harley owners and non-cruiser riders out there.... Would you own this bike? Why or Why Not?
@briangebert8927
@briangebert8927 2 года назад
There's 4 things I don't like about it 1 the 4gal.tank 2 where the USB plug is located under the tank 3 the battery tender plug is under the bike and 4 the freaking accessories are way overpriced compared to to harley, I'll just keep my 2018harley Davidson heritage 114 bigger saddle bags and all the accessories are in the right place
@NicePantsLance
@NicePantsLance 2 года назад
@@briangebert8927 to each his own! I personally don't mind the usb location. It keeps the cord hidden, where as the USB plug on the Heritage is on the fork neck right out in the open. Also, for the price of the Heritage, you could own a Chief and fit it with all the accessories you want, plus have money left over. In general, brand accessories are usually overpriced and quality is questionable. I definitely wish it had a larger gas tank though. The 5 gallon tank on the Heritage must be sweet 👍 I'd love to get 200 miles to a tank on my bike I personally dig the looks of the Heritage a little more than the Chief, but the Chief being lighter in weight and having more power and torque definitely makes me favor the Indian. The display on the Chief is soo nice too. Hard to pass up the $16k Chief when the Heritage comes in at $20k+, which is almost Indian Challenger price. Thanks for watching my vid and safe travels on that beautiful Heritage 🤘

@@NicePantsLance The Super Chief is the direct comparison to the Heritage. The Slim is probably the direct comparison to the Chief.

This would compare closest to a Dyna, no? Chief Bobber = Fat Bob as far as I can tell. I've always loved the Fat Bob, even the weird new(er) headlamp and Softail rear suspension layout. Still, Bobber Dark Horse STAGE II for the win, IMO. I can't get enough of this bike. Tho, I'd see myself using the Stage II cams/throttle body and doing the intake and exhaust elsewhere. Bike is mad sexy

The Darkhorse 116 model starts just under $21k, and its electronically speed limited to 108mph. With restrictions removed, it can absolutely get up past 130mph. You can believe whatever you want to believe though 👍

That's a stage 2 with a cam, anything else like an air filter and exhaust. I like everything about the bike, 4' ride command, Thunderstroke 116, get more bang for your money. I'd definitely get stage 2 air filter, 2 into 1, crash bars, different seat and air filter.

Looks better than a Harley too… didnt Harley sell out to China and building there? To me Harley lost the American way and Harley didn’t make the Motorcycle Industry today as we know it, Combat Veterans from WW2 did when they bought bikes and formed the Mongrels Club 1%ers! That’s right, and now look even today Combat Veterans are treated like shit from our Government and some Society. That’s why you will see a great deal of Veterans with 1%ers.. all F’s not given. -Purple Heart Combat Veteran Me? I wear that 3%er patch, should be looked at scarier than the 1% because if pushed enough, we bring war to the level we were trained and even experienced in. And besides, some of our Veteran descendants created the 1%, there should be full respect across the entire industry. Back on track, Indian needs more bikes sold so they can out market HD. My opinion, HD has dropped the ball big time and for a long long time. For me personally, the last straw was Buell. My uncle races still to this day with a Buell, Harley did the Buell family WRONG! What kind of low life’s cut someone out business wise without any warnings?

2022 Indian Chief Bobber or 2022 Triumph Bobber? I currently own a BMW R1250R and considering adding the Triumph Bobber with apes. I’ve owned a Victory Highball before and loved that bike. Probably should give the Chief Bobber a try.
@NicePantsLance
@NicePantsLance 2 года назад
That's a tough choice, but I'd have to go with the Triumph Bobber. The Triumph is wayyy lighter, has better brakes, handles better, and is a little quicker. Less money than the Chief too. Although, the Chief has a more unique sound, a bigger more torquey motor, and a better display. The thunderstroke motor has a way better aftermarket, and could be made way faster and more powerful than the Triumph. Then again, you can get a supercharger for the Triumph lol If you took a liking to the Victory, the Chief has a closer resemblance so you may appreciate the weight more. The Triumph feels completely different from the rest of the cruiser market. Hope this helps!

I could never own another Polaris. Still salty over them dropping Victory. Those bikes don’t call to me anymore like Triumph. The Bobber is so different and is a much better bike. Just wanted your opinion because we both seem to like the same bikes for the same reasons. Just don’t know if I want a new Bobber or a used Speedmaster. There are two 2018 Speedmasters near me, both with apes. One is red for $10,900 with 5k miles, some Motone parts, and the brown quilted seat. The other is the two-toned paint for $10,600 with 900 miles, the comfort seat, and windshield. I will see if I can get one for under $10k OTD. Closing on my house on Thursday, so I’ll be purchasing soon after.
@NicePantsLance
@NicePantsLance 2 года назад
I totally understand. Victory was my absolute favorite. Honestly if Polaris chose the Victory line and dropped Indian instead I feel like they would be selling like hotcakes. If you're single or don't intend on riding 2-up, definitely go for the new bobber or used bobber black edition so you get the dual disk brembo brakes. If you like to ride 2-up then definitely go for the Speedmaster 1200 👍 Congrats on the house by the way! I just bought a house myself. Closing next week hopefully! One of the reasons why it's been a month or two since I made a video
@moph7July06
@moph7July06 2 года назад
The wifey doesn’t care for riding. So not having a passenger seat isn’t a deal breaker. I like the Bobber over the Speedmaster, but those used Speedmasters are intriguing for the price. Also adding another child next month too. The wifey is 36weeks. So lots of stuff going on for me in the next few weeks.
@NicePantsLance
@NicePantsLance 2 года назад
Cheers to that brother congrats! Movin that fast comes with alot of stress, but it'll all come together in the end 🤘 That's a fair point. I don't blame you for jumping on a good deal. In my honest opinion, I say get the right bike the first time. If a new bobber is out of the question, atleast see if there's a used bobber on cycletrader or somewhere online. If not, go for the speedmaster. Just my 2 cents.

So if you owned one bike would you get the Speed Twin or this one?
@NicePantsLance
@NicePantsLance 2 года назад
Oooo that's a tricky one. If I had to spend the money, I'd buy the Speed Twin. You get so much for the money, and its such a fantastic bike. However, if I had to choose between getting either bike for free, I'd hands down choose the Indian Bobber 116. There's almost a $4000 price difference between the two
@geewunder1171

So is this basically comparable to a 111 with a big bore kit? A stage 3? That's a 116 with cams also...
@NicePantsLance
@NicePantsLance 2 года назад
Yes, I would agree. So the 111 "stage 3" is the big bore kit that makes it a 116. The 116 "stage 2" kit is intake and cams. Both of these setups make around the same power by themselves. However, a good dyno tune or a change in cams will easily make that 111 stage 3 big bore motor more powerful than the 116 stage 2 setup.

Yeah, the gentleman at the beginning explained the riding modes, but I didn't really have the time to play with them unfortunately. Hopefully next time I get a chief I can take it out for an extended test ride and fiddle with riding modes 👍
