Great car! They’re pretty rare here in Oz atm compared to the mustangs and pretty expensive but the interior build quality is so much better and they look completely badass. Serial owner of Aussie muscle cars here but sadly we don’t make them anymore. Might have to get me one of these bad boys in the next 18 months or so. Thanks for a great review mate! 👍
Thanks for the info! I ordered my and it’s finally at 3000 status with a TPW 1/3/22. I hope it goes through! It’s a best bang for your buck when it comes down to a fully loaded track car!
@@infidel66687 I placed the order on September 18, 2021. The dealership had allocation for it, make sure that your dealership has it. If not, the wait will be longer.
@@jorgeoramirez3 they do have a location for it, last week the dealer told me a SS ordered a week before mine got the TPW so they said mine should be next.
@@infidel66687 damn I hate that for you. I got lucky I called 2 months ahead and told them I was interested and they held the order for me. It moves quick once you get to 3000 status.
An excellent/comprehensive review. Camaro prices have gone up significantly a 1SS is now more expensive than the pricing you mentioned on this 2SS before the 1LE package.
Thanks for watching! If you’re new, hit that subscribe button and stay tuned for the next reviews on the all new 2022 Camaro LT1 and 2022 Silverado Limited LT Trail Boss!
Just drive it-not many people-“break” them in-ok so put your 1500 miles on it the first week and go for it--70000 miles on mine-driven lets say lively the way it was engineered-only car out there for that kind of money that lets you feel that it belongs on the street and track in comfort-also much more fun useable power than a ZL1-even though they have great torque but insanely fast on the street and tire shredders
@@WTFCRLT1 Great car and review. 👍 Why is there such little interest and GM killing 6th Gen Camaro soon??? It would have better sales with bigger windows.
Man I appreciate you pointing out the seats won't be uncomfy if you're a bigger dude... I test drove a mustang GT and the stock seats were just too tiny narrow for my back.
Appreciate the comment man I haven’t been in the mustang Recaro seats but compared to the stock cloth seats, these are certainly tighter so if the cloth seats were too tight for you, these likely won’t be any better. However compared to recaro seats in the Focus ST, Focus RS, or even the C8-R edition, these Recaros are miles ahead in terms of bigger dude comfort.
Thank you man glad you like it! There’s no extra charge for the wing, its just that the car isn’t shipped with the wing fully assembled and the prep guys need to install it during PDI. These guys just didn’t install the side pieces until after I mentioned that they were missing.
You are brave sir, I am only 5'6" and I cant stand sitting in the back seat of my 2021 2SS, I have to cock my head to the side and it hits the ceiling. I had a 2011 2SS and it was actually tolerable, not sure why they made the back seats even smaller.
Hey. I watched all your LT1 videos. I watched this video, seen your reaction to the the 1LE. I asked around and everyone says that the 1LE is a different animal. So I cancelled my LT1 custom spec order, and bought a 1LE.
Question, does the backup camera beep while backing? I just got my 2022 SS Camaro on 8/8/22. Btw mine looks identical to the one you're showing, only difference is I had Red stripes put on mine. Thanks
I got a 2021 lt1 for 34000 out the door and put a few thousand in rims, spoiler, borla atax pipes, it looks identical to 1LE I’m missing the recaro seats only.
The Magride doesn't make a difference between settings when one includes the 1LE package, the ride quality is always in track mode, even when it's not. I had a 17 1LE with Magride and how it felt between track and tour was barely noticeable. Standard 2SS has a more dramatic difference in feel because it doesn't have the 1LE track pieces.
Sorry but I disagree with your MRC comment. I have a 2019 SS 1LE and definitely feel the difference between the drive modes. The car is not always in Track mode. And you can get the 2SS version with the 1LE option.
The car zooms. Change the tires tho. - too sticky - they pick up everything on the road. FYI - if you don't, you'll spend more time at the tire shop than behind the wheel!
Well this video is a year old but im here because i jumped ship from Dodge ,and i just ordered a 2023 2SS 1LE Shadow grey ,red seatbelts and a M6 ,I cant wait till my car is built but it will most probably be 6 to 9 months
That’s a good question.. the rear spoiler wasn’t fully installed so I wouldn’t be surprised if the spacers were also left on. I doubt it tho I feel like they’d really effect the handling on the car and this felt razor sharp.
I am currently driving my 3rd Mustang GT. I’ve had a 93’ Fox, 19’GT PP1 premium in black on black and now a 21’ GTPP1 premium in Oxf White with Showstopper red interior. I also had a C6 Z06 in Lemans Blue 07’(this car was insane). I’ve only had my 21’ GT for a few months and although it is a great car! I’m kind of wishing I roled with an SS 1LE. Has anyone owned both a newer GT Performance Pack AND an SS 1LE? I’d be throwing away my down payment on the GT which sucks but since the Camaro is going bye bye…. I’ve always respected this car even though I’ve had Mustangs. I even entertained getting a 14/15’ Z28 with that fabled LS7 I had in the C6 Z. But if I want a new Camaro, I need to act soon. Anyone owned both? I’d be interested in hearing your feedback…
I've heard that the vented seats in the camaro are trash and the vented seats in mopar vehicles are the best. If u get the chance, can u verify that? Vented seats are very important to me since I'm here in houston where its always hot and humid even in the winter🤦🏿♂️. I'm striving to get a camaro 2ss 1 day but I'm still a mopar guy
The best vented seats I’ve felt to this day are in both the RAM Limited and Ram Longhorn Limited edition which could be where you heard that from and in that case I’d 100% agree, however compared to the scat pack plus or R/T plus when it comes to the suede seats in the challenger, these vented seats are just as good while being far more supportive. I’d go with these all day although the high trim RAM trucks have better vented seats, not nearly as supportive tho.
So that’s accurate black ice.. remember the Camaro seats are “vented” and not cooled. You can feel them and it certainly helps but my friend’s scat was better. The intake for them is under the seat so if you use floor and vent ac it’s pretty good.
@@WTFCRLT1 tnks. Since u mentioned the ram, I figured that they'll be the best since it's the newest designed. So they probably made high flow and cold vents within the seat foam
@@m91473 Who cares? Way more fun to drive. Besides, the manual drivers are putting up the best lap times at the local tracks. The real drivers are all driving stick.
Not true..my 21 1le A10 is a blast to drive and is much faster than a 6 speed..6 speeds are a dying breed they have realized that 8 and 10 speed auto are faster and more efficient..had all kinds of muscle cars and jeeps with manuals..tired of pedaling...not sorry!! Lol
@@cnewell1971 If you think so... Automatic is boring, and last I checked,,, 95% don't take to the track. 6 Speed is by far a better driving experience. Automatic is just plain dull...
LOL I feel sorry for the eventual owner of this car as the break in period forbids high revs and fast acceleration until around 1500 miles. Hope the engine was not damaged!!
You’re right however even with it’s solid rear axle, the Boss 302 was really close to the 5th gen 1LE when it came to handling and overall thrill. The 6th gen just eliminated the competition with its lighter weight and stiffer chassis basically forcing Ford to take the new mustangs to an all new level. Which they’ve still not been able to do in my opinion when it comes to handling at least for the non performance pack trims.
I work for Ford at the Dearborn truck plant so I’m a Ford guy through and through for obvious reasons but the Camaro is a bad ass car car great platform and it just looks mean the mustang looks mean depending on trim but the Camaro is a bad ass cruiser looks good cruising like u said great Bose sounds u can get a moonroof yeah it’s added weight but when U cruising with your lady in the seat next to u nice evening it’s a good option then when it’s time u can blow the doors off most anything and cooler here in Michigan on the backroads nothing handles better for the price
Only one thing I didn't like about mine, the gap between the tire and fender lips. Took care of that with a set of Eibach lowering springs, and no, it didn't mess up the cars O.E.M handling package, just make sure you order the 1LE springs, not the standard SS springs.
The Automatic Transmission = Major Disappointment. Goodyear F1 summer only tires are total crap. They kick up rocks that scratch side of car. Aweful. Get you some continental extreme contact 06 plus.
But they stick when it’s warm like they’re supposed to. All the track based tires do this. If you want a little more mild with good “normal” driving, the nitro nt’s I’ve heard are better for overall driving.
@@DroptheBreak_Cards I personally prefer the manual. Everything I owned was manual. Even the semi trucks I drive are 18 speeds, so driving in traffic is a breeze, plus I prefer to shave time off lap times by improving my braking points, turn in points and other driver responsibilities as opposed to shaving so little time at the cost of daily driving fun. Plus the auto rev matching and no lift shifting aid in shifting so I can't stomach autos.
@@sunshine48213 i went with the continentals..nice ride..25000 warranty because you cannot rotate them..but very happy with them.. they grip pretty good also..
These cars have been here for 6 years basically unchanged-forget all the interior exterior reviews-stale news-stick to driving-maybe new to you but nothing new-glad you like it --moving forward someone needs to change their reviews to get traffic-suggest tracking-and FYI I have 70000 miles on my loaded 2SS 2016 and driven year round in Canada and cross country in it-like I stated these cars are unchanged since 2016 to drive-but yes now the 1LE can be had in auto for the non standard inclined-
I'm honest opinion on general motors bring back the camaros I think chevy failure no way they don't look like camaros from the 1979s dodge I give the five 🔥 cars they brought back the challenger they built the challenger just like the on e from 1979a exactly copy of the old school challenger dodge give like modern look but unchanged love that's the whole idea I rather buy a Corvette even the mustang look retro like old mustang of the 70s gm disappoint me I try to get in in one 2013 camaro I hit my head in the driver pillar they camaro are cramp in the inside I'm 59 I couldn't fit right my knee hit the dash no they should stretch the car make look longer in length too short too cramp interior I won't buy
