Wow. That is a healthy pile of recommendations. I'm in a Blues mode right now, so those are going to be high on my list as the Seals and Rush albums are the only ones I have. On the Mike Campbell front, I've long been a fan going back to Full Moon Fever. His string bending solo on Running Down a Dream is phenomenal. I don't have any of the Knobs, but they've been in my cart for a while. He can literally play anything. If you've not heard TP & the HB's Mojo, it really highlights Campbell's Blues playing. Super under the radar record. The Terry Allen is also definitely on my short list. Thanks as always!
It all goes back to the Blues, really. Every so often I buy a bunch of Blues albums - I try not to grab stuff I have on CD unless it's an OG copy like that Otis Rush live record - I needed it! *lol* I don't have a copy of Mojo but I've heard it, it's a very likeable record. The Heartbreakers overall were a band that was so good, I'm not sure any of them played a wrong note - and if they did, they bent it until it was right. Tom had the charisma and star power, no doubt, and would've been successful as a solo artist. But having a group of such excellent musicians as his band was a giant asset for him. Glad I can reciprocate the favor of good suggestions. I've gotten several from your IG page that I've enjoyed immensely.
