Look forward to your hiking adventures. In years past, I hiked Half Dome and it was fantastic and challenging. I remember training for that hike for months. Thanks for sharing your videos.
Thank you for encouraging us all to get back into training! Poles - Annette - have you tried holding your poles like x-c ski poles? If you switch your grip to coming up through the loops, you will be able to relax your hands.
It is so great that you two are such avid outdoorsmen who are continually going on new adventures and you take us with you. So often I follow hikers on RU-vid doing an adventure but when it ends I never hear from them again. It is such a joy to watch your videos. Even when you are just sitting talking. A huge Thank You.
I haven’t watched your videos in a while and I need to catch up! Watched this one and it put a smile on my face. 😊 Snowy in Colorado right now, good idea to stay in AZ for a while. I’m ready to get back outside, thanks to you both!
Definitely recommend the enchantments hike in WA. Jen and I took our oldest when he turned 13. The upper enchantments are definitely other worldly beautiful. Also done short sections of the Wonderland Trail. That would be great as well. Great to see an update. Maggie says hello.😊
❤I really enjoy your videos while Im on my elliptical now with my pack on. It's currently raining and cold here in eastern ks,. while I can only dream of the day I can be flexible I'll just keep working and training 😊
2024! Exciting!! Today the sun is shining in SW Michigan, for the first time in weeks!! Plus it’s in the 40’s, so I’m cleaning my ebike up! Started walking on my BowFlex Treadmill, last month, to strengthen my legs for the ride. I pedal as much as I can, there’s no “cheating” (throttle only) with me!! I’m 72, with Fibromyalgia, and I won’t let it stop me!!! Thank you always, for your great videos and encouraging words at the end!! Come on, people! Get your ass out of your chair and get moving!!! 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed Mexico! You’ll have to go for longer next year. Seems like a lot of RVers & vanlifers spend the winter there because it’s warm weather & very inexpensive. Sounds like 2024 will be another fun trip for you ladies! Love watching you wherever you go & whatever you do!
Hi, girls. I'm so glad you're finishing the AZT. We met last yr between Oracle and Kearney (I was doing the G.E.T) I really enjoyed following your journey I'm so happy for you. Keep up the great work. 'Thunderbird' 🙂
@@wanderwomenkristyannette5021 I’m looking at doing the Mogollon Rim Trail in April and then doing the AZT again only SOBO this time starting October ❤️
Hi ladies, your plans for 2024 sound interesting and diversified. Love the way you guys go with the flow and allow yourselves to be flexible. Thanks for the update. Take care.
Good morning, we finally have sunshine in Wisconsin. I love all your sunny days. I wouldn't think you have to "shape up" for your hikes this summer because you're always doing something. But, being in your best shape for those long hauls is smart. I've been able to walk outside this winter because it's been mild except for the last two weeks. Then it's the treadmill, yuck. You both are so encouraging I've lost 34 pounds! We have the Ice Age trail near us, so the goal is to do more parts of that. Love your videos. Take care, be safe.
i'm so jealous of your shorts and short sleeves! i'm in East Tennessee and we've been sitting around zero for several days and the most snow we've had in a while. the people who started the trail early this year have been in dangerous weather and extremely dangerous windchills.
Sounds like 2024 is going to be a great year! Might see you on the PCT, I’m hiking southbound between Tahoe and Tuolumne Meadows at some point next summer~
hey guys check out the lost coast trail northern calif. It's only 25 miles but beautiful right along the ocean go south to keep wind at your back. its a great hike!
When you're back in CO maybe you could do a meetup/group hike for some of your local subscribers - ? Just a thought :) Awesome that you're going to try for completing the AZT - woohoo! Your future adventures for the year sound exciting; thank you again for allowing us viewers to see the great trails :)
If you’re planning on hanging out in AZ for a while head on over to the Chiricuhuas for a couple of days and hike in the Monument or other parts of the mountains below the snowline. The Monument is very beautiful.
Nice.I’ll be on the JMT this summer. I’m doing the same with training to prepare. So excited! I don’t have a permit yet, though I did secure one that starts south of Whitney a little earlier than planned if necessary because I’m not, not going. Was my plan last year, but snowmageddon year in the Sierra and I’m not getting any younger. Just a thought: Timberline Trail, around MT Hood is nice and not so competitive to get a permit. In fact, it’s easy. When I did it we started opposite of the Timberline Lodge which made it a nice as a stop along the way vs., a start/end point.
Love your adventures. I lead hikes for a hiking group where the median age is 65. We have a hike leader who is 86. I can’t ride diamond frames anymore so my husband and I ride recumbent trikes with the help of some e-assist. Do you think you will ever do a long cycling trip again?
@@wanderwomenkristyannette5021 Nope. Sorry but you may not get caught but several have. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0KfHLO1Ss4I.htmlsi=NyKYUdyiLcgBa-IU
You are catching some beautiful weather there. You may have commented on this in the past, but with all the sun exposure you have, what is your routine for skin protection? Skin cancer is no joke, and your lifestyle does increase your susceptibility.
if you're going to be in the totality area during the eclipse.. here's some good advice. of course get away from people in a natural area but, preferably near a body of water. the birds get weird around the water during totality. swallows swooping like it's near sunset. otters and bears out and being weird because they know something is happening. at least that's the way it went for us in totality in the Smokies in 2017. so glad we were away from the crowds in a place that people didn't know about back then but, 7 years later.. it's overrun with humans now. it was the last peaceful place in the Smokies... gone.
