Honda warranty is less likely to be used than other manufacturers. Always been the case historically. Others like say Hyundai you will need. People are so scared that they equate it to longer warranty losing sight on the track record Honda lasts way past warranty. Ps: As who has a better manufacturers ability in Hybrid, I don't see Toyota in F1 (F1 has hybrid) and when Toyota were in F1, Toyota did not find success.

I been a Honda Fan boy for years but it seem like Honda is starting to slip with feature. 1 example is that they are removing garage openers from the mirrors and are making that an expensive option. Around $700 installed. Another is that some of their cars are no longer coming with blind spot monitoring. Not even offer as a feature. Another is I can’t believe that they are not offering 360 degree camera. I have that in my BMW and it’s a game changer. My wife has a 2024 Honda and her rear camera sucks. Not even High Definition.

Since I was getting a family car, I went with a 2023 Accord over the 2024 Camry due to the safety rating for back seat passengers. Maybe it will be different for the 2025 Camry, but from what I remember basically no modern sedans other than the Accord had a good safety rating for back seat passengers. As a side note, after 6 months with my car, the lack of a 360 cam in the Accord touring is my biggest gripe. Nearly everything else is high quality (ride quality, acceleration, cabin noise, comfort, driving assistance, etc), but the lack of a 360 cam is a glaring flaw that upsets me to no end.

Because of the instantaneous torque available with electric motors you will notice a marked performance improvement when driving an all-wheel drive version compared to a two-wheel drive. Having that extra electric motor on the rear wheels really helps with both traction AND ACCELERATION. Also, Toyota's planetary gear set is bulletproof. It will last a lifetime.

I’ve owned an ‘87 Camry for almost 22 years now. I’ve also leased a 2019 Camry. Honestly they are amazing cars. The ‘87 still has the original engine and transaxle with 260,000 miles. The fuel pump is original. The original starter was replaced about 2 years ago. I was still able to get a factory reman from a Toyota dealer and it took about 15 minutes to replace. While I love the simplicity of the ‘87, the safety features on the 2019 are night and day. I’ve also owned Toyota hybrids and if you’re going to get a hybrid, Toyota has the best system by far. Honda makes a great car too. At the end of the day, it boils down to personal preference when it comes down to Toyota versus Honda. If you plan on keeping your car for decades like I have, it might be worth considering a car that has sold more in volume so that you have more options for aftermarket parts when you can’t get it from the dealer anymore.

I wish my recently purchased Accord, 2020 had a smoother powertain. You do hear when the gas engine kicks in. But that is my only complaint. I look initially for a used hybrid camry. But every single one that I found on the market, had shown evidence of a previous accident to that vehicle. Which led me to believe that the only reason the previous owner turned it in, was because it had been in an accident. The Honda hybrids were rare to find, but at least each one I did find had or was in very good non-accident shape.

I agree with you. I have a '21 Accord Touring 2.0T and while I appreciate the Accord Hybrid for what it is, I would choose the more powerful option every time. Honda and Toyota have both offered higher powered engines for many years. It's a shame to see those options disappearing. For those of you who say demand wasn't high enough, Honda sold approximately 220k Accords with the 2.0T engine between '18 - '22. That may not be super high volume but it is hardly insignificant. And for those who say, "well just buy a BMW M3, Audi S4 or C43 AMG", have you checked the price tag on those cars? They're practically double the price. They are not a viable option for people wanting a practical sedan that offers a bit more power just for pure fun of driving. In Honda's case, I wish they would have dropped the 1.5T base engine, offered the Hybrid engine as their core power plant and continued to produce the 2.0T for those of us who actually enjoy a more spirited driving experience.

Great review. Loved the point that paying 30k extra doesn't really get you that much more anymore. These non luxury cars have upped their game big time.

Between the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry, the only time the Accord was better than the Camry was back in 1990-1993 years. Outside of these years the Camry was consistently better every level. Overall, Toyota Camry is one of best family sedan of all time. Built very solidly even if it was built outside of Japan which is pretty amazing.

This is a good review because these have been the class leaders for decades. I agree with the review for all the same reasons - parts availability down the road should be good on Honda but Toyota will lead the pack because no doubt they share parts with other models - Toyota just makes so many more car models. The fact that you have the option of AWD, A Panoramic Moonroof, and different colour seats (White, Black, Brown, Red vs Black in the Honda. I think this gives the Camry a fairly decisive advantage - AWD in the snow on all-seasons does help - people like seats that aren't black and I believe that Toyota also offers more exterior colours. I wish they both came as a lift back like the Kia Stinger - I think it's a more user friendly trunk space than a trunk - but perhaps they want to sell you an SUV for that.

You didn’t talk about gas mileage. I am leaning towards the Camry if the mileage is significantly better. Toyotas tend to get the mileage. They advertise and Hondas tend to not get theirs.

Toyota waited to follow Honda on a lot of areas and add what most consumer wants especially for styling, sport trims with better suspension, panoramic roofs and awd. Now Honda’s hybrid is more refined by miles compared to the Camry.

I believe Toyota Japan has discontinued the Camry for their local market... Being Australian this might lead to extremely long wait times... I have a 2022 SX Camry I might need to change to an RAV4 which has its wait times reduced to 8 - 12 months for some models... As always these reviews I take to see what each car has... We all need to test drive both for at least 24 hrs each to make a choice. In Australia Honda is on its last legs... Toyota has service centres everywhere and anywhere.

Maybe Honda can bring back the 2.0 T that so many people loved? Since Toyota is only offering the Camry as a hybrid. Maybe this could be an advantage for Honda to offer both even though this Camry might be better.

I totally agree. Love my '21 Accord Touring 2.0T. For all of you saying the 2.0T didn't sell well, Honda did in fact sell approximately 220k Accords between '18 - '22 with that engine option. May not be super high volume but hardly an insignificant amount. Not sure of the Camry V6 model sales but a lot of folks chose that engine also.

This is the first time having a Honda (HRV). Toyota, you get what you pay for. My toyota pickup was very reliable. I get more car with Honda. I've had Honda motorcycles which are reliable. Toyotas are expensive. Now you bring the car to the shop and take out a loan to pay for the repairs/replacement parts. No more playing mechanic. I like choosing what I want. With Honda, I chose front wheel 2.0 aspirated motor. Wish the transmission had gears.

Been buying Toyota and Honda since the early 60's. I can't say which one is better. I usually kept them for around 17 years or so and sold them while still working fine. I will be buying a new Toyota Camry LXE 2025, because of the new style and our old 2008 doesn't have the safety features we want. We're getting up there, actually we're already there, just want to stay there a little longer.😁

Title of the video should be splitting hairs. I've only owned Hondas and Toyotas. I prefer the feeling of having more space. On my just purchased CRV which came with cloth seats, I purchased aftermarket synthetic leather seat covers. Everyone thinks it's leather (because it smells like leather) and don't notice they're seat covers.

At the end of the day, BOTH manufacturers produce solid products. There isn’t any clear cut winner here. Toyota has AWD option and a CVT, as where Honda does not. Those aren’t necessarily +’s, just options. I would choose (which I have) the Accord over the Camry for simplicity. Just get yourself the Touring and that will keep you in for the long haul; instead of feeling you need to upgrade down the road. If “HP” is a game changer for you, then don’t get a hybrid.

It's funny. While Honda did a redesign, it looks like they phoned it in. Toyota didn't fix 2hat wasn't broken, and it added things it was behind on and made the better overall car. I've been a Honda guy for years, but Camry takes this round for the first time ever. I like this Camry a LOT.

I would have said Camry, but the CVT is a deal breaker. The previous accord looked much better than the current one. Ideally, because of the CVT transmission, I wouldn't buy the the camry or the hybrid accord, but at least the non-hybrid accord has a regular automatic transmission whereas the camry us CVT only across the range.

But the eCVT in Toyota hybrids is a totally bulletproof reliable planetary gearset. Why would that be a deal breaker?
