@@rafarules6861 Bro, you're weird lol. Imagine if I clicked on a "Best Red Sox Moments 2000-2015" and then continuously commented negativity. Real baseball fans can hate their rival and still respect them, but you seem to not even have an ounce of dignity.
@@jackfoudray it's funny, all the ridiculous things that have been said to me, but I'm the one with no dignity?? Now you have the worst team in the American league!! Hows that taste bro!! And the red Sox and Mets are both in first place!!
I was at Jeter's last game in NY...all the way from New mexico (although I'm born and raised in NY)....I was in tears after that game....still have video of the final at bat on my cell.....still get chills every time I watch it
DJ was a generational phenomenon. I didnt live the Munson, Yogi, Mantle, DiMaggio, Gherig, Ruth eras but I cant imagine a player more beloved than Derek.
I was there that day with the three grand slams. So amazing! They were down by so much and it had started to rain a little bit so half the stadium left and then they started hitting all those grand slams. I couldn’t stop screaming and cheering, it was like magic to witness.
I love the Yankees and I'll always be a Yankees fan. I love all the new players/teams, but nothing will ever beat seeing Jeter, Mo, Pettite, Posada, Bernie, Oneill and Tino all playing together. Loved Soriano, Matsui, Cano, Swisher, Tex, Girardi, Damon, and Brosius too. And nothing will ever beat the old stadium, The House That Ruth Built.
Grew up watching '96-2000 when we got 4 in 5. Some of the earlier moments... So much nostalgia... People/Boston fans can talk about 2004 when we blew a 3-0 lead, but Boone's home run to end the 2003 ALCS was such a killer. I remember exactly what I was doing at that exact moment. Always will. Electric.
As a Michigan native and die hard Tigers fan, I've always been told to hate East Coast teams, especially the NYY. But I have to tell you, I love those damn Yankees. God bless New York, the Yankees, the NYPD and NYFD and never forget 🙏
amazing video thanks for putting it together. just needed a few more highlights from the 2009 playoffs and WS. Arod dominated the ALCS against LAA, and there were some great moments in the WS against Philly like when Damon stole 2 bases in one play that basically won them game 5. all in all, nice work though.
The problem with the 2004 to 2007 teams was that they were built to dominate the regular season offensively but they had little starting pitching, a strength of the team in 2000-2003. And the 2010-2012 team had a similar problem, on top of which Kevin Long had poisoned the offense with his "take-take-take" philosophy which was a joke when you had guys like Cliff Lee just firing in strikes all night.
14:40 I remember watching that game with my family when I was 6, the next day my dad and I went to watch the Yankees and we were hoping Jeter didn’t hit 3,000 until then. Still we went crazy watching it on TV
I'll always love the Fab5.. Derek Jeter, Andy Pettite, Jorge Posada, Mariano Rivera, and Bernie Williams. Such class acts stand up players. Even tho they lost (once in a while) it always seemed they won every time they stepped in the field. To us Fans. Watching them play for their while careers. We were the winners. I always wish baseball hadn't gone on strike, was it '95? Growing up I was a huge Don Mattingly fan. Another class act. Always thought he deserved a real shot at winning a world series ring. How can you not love the history, the heritage, the mysticism, the ghosts of Yankee legends. ❤❤❤
I was at Alex Rodriguez's 500th HR game. That stuff with Mariano Rivera chokes me up every time. Same with Tino and Brosius' game tying 2001 WS homeruns and Jeters walk-off on 11/1.
Of all the great moments on here I still love Tino's World Series homerun, and Ibanez's two homeruns against Baltimore. And no love for Matsui??? Lol. He tore up the Phillies in 09' WS.
It was awesome seeing Johnny Damon step out of the dugout in respect to Derek's 3000th hit...and look back at the dugout as if to say to the rest of the Rays "get your asses out here and clap!". Jeter was one of the few in baseball that was respected by every team/player. I miss that guy!
But only 1 in the last 20 years with the highest payroll in the sport! And none coming anytime soon ! Keep bragging about winning in the forties and fifties ! They suck now !!
I’m absolutely spoiled because I grew up in the 90s but it still hurts to have so many great teams who should have gone further didn’t make it all the way. It made me realize how hard that run from 96-01 was even for one of the best teams of all time
I see 2002 is not on here..I too want to forget that monstrosity..losing to the Angels was disgusting...one of the worst teams and they beat us...:-P..and 2004 against the Red Sox with the dive into the stands..after that..I'd love to forget the whole 2004 season..
Our pitching ran into a buzz saw Angels offense...the Angels were red hot and hitting everything so the offense carried them...Our pitching just couldn't stop them
Lol I'd assume all yankee fans like to forget the 2004 ALCS. lol can't imiagine being a Yankees fan that year. Well...I kinda do being a warriors fan and blowing that lead to the cavs. I was pissed for at least a solid month.
what a amazing era of Jeter, Posada,Rivera Bernie Williams, Andy Petitte.NY Yankees should've won 8 world series Championships. thanks for the memories fellas.Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera should have statues outside Yankee Staduim for their greatness
won in the beginning of the century, won the year they open up a new stadium, never went down without a fight. One of the greatest teams of all time 2000-2015 and now with all the new yankees, they're looking to start a new legacy. It's great being a yankees fan
Two more plays I would want to see on this list: A-Rod's 23rd grand slam (tying the game at 4 vs Atlanta) and Ichiro avoiding the tag twice to score vs. Baltimore
2:28 I remember cause it was my 14th birthday. My cousins n I watched this then played Metal Gear Solid n like Soul Reaver, Syphon Filter, or something.
LETSSSS GOOOO YANKEESSSSS!!!! YANKS 4 EVER!!!!! I ❤️ DIS TEAM!!!!!!!! ONCE A YANKEE YANKEE FOREVER!!!!!!! DIS TEAM HAS ALWAYS BEEN SPECIAL!!!!!!!!!!! IM A YANKEE FOREVER!!!!!!
As a baseball player myself I hate how people act like it takes no skill.. it’s literally one of the hardest sports to play imagine having a split second to think should I swing our not people don’t get it.. it takes hella eye hand coordination it’s not a video game like some of y’all think
