Abstinence allows you to get closer to God, it gives you clarity, it prevents soul ties. And can even be an anti ager, you'll look younger. Hold true to your beliefs, don't comprise and be prayful and discerning of who you date.

I’m a sexual person, I really enjoyed it while I was married. It’s something about being married and being with your spouse. I’m now divorced after 21 years. I haven’t had sex with another man since then. That was almost three years ago. 4 reasons to abstain: 1.Religious beliefs/God can sustain you in all aspects of your life. 2. Safety/God can protect your emotional and physical health. 3.Clarity/God can give you discernment about a person beforehand. 4.Real Bond. Really get to see if you are dealing with a man or a boy when you abstain because then you get to see their real character over a period of time while holding your virtue. Yes you get to protect your sexual health which is important.

Wow! That is awesome...I have been abstinent now since 2016. But I still sometimes miss sex within the context of a loving committed relationship or marriage. But been thru ALL the pain that comes with "casual" sex with NO commitment. Or being in relationships where you want that but realize HE only wants sex, not a long-term committed relationship. Wow!! September 16 2021 (yes a day ago lol) I decided to walk out of a toxic relationship that lasted 9 yrs OFF & ON. I told myself that am doing a self-love and not entertain NOBODY for a yr. I've been abstinent for so many years after my husband! People just need to stop letting lust rule their lives! As I think about things now, this is why my husband did not get emersed in the water when the entire family went to get saved...he was still fleshly weak! Great video! Abstaining until marriage is a great way to practice self discipline and overcome the crave for instant gratification. It's sad that we live in a generation where we are being told that having pre-marital sex and giving one's body away before a permanent commitment is not a big deal. There are serious consequences to think about not only physically but the emotional damage it can cause. Practicing the act of abstinence as a single person can help one's spirit and mind remain pure before meeting the right person.
On my journey on being a better and stronger Christian by growing my faith and just living to his word I loved hearing this message. I’ve been celibate for a few months now and I can attest this is so true. Being celibate clears your mind so much and I truly have just been a happier person and more at peace. God is my everything and that’s all I need 🙏🏼when the right person comes it will be. Work on yourself mentally and spiritually all the stuff that seems fun and normal are those of the earthly things we have to do the Godly things. Can be hard sometimes as a 22 year old in this day and age doing this but I wouldn’t change my journey for the world.
One of My biggest reason is I refuse to have a child out of wedlock! Just because you are using “protection” sometimes that don't always workout. It's no guarantee that if you get pregnant that man is going to marry you.

True, I stay away from sex for ten years because of my belief only to fall this year. I met this guy and we dated for more than 2 years. I decided to give in because I wanted him to stay. He end up leaving me 3 months after we had sex. I thank God it's happened 1 time. But I really regretted my action and I am leaving with the guit every day. Abstinence is really good.

I am a celibate, happy whole woman! I don’t mess around! These people are nasty and irresponsible. I enjoy life and I have a few projects I’m working on. My son just received his Bachelors, I am very proud. I don’t want to be used and treated like a piece of meat. I love me enough to be safe and happy with myself. Until then I am fulfilled without another individual in my space.

My ex-husband went out to have a sexual relationship outside our marriage,God made him not to be able to sleep with me,I remained faithful to God and him and God saw that,I ddnt cheat becouse he is cheating,for 5 years in my marriage we ddnt have intercourse becouse he could do it with me,I thought it's health issues but this year we found out he contracted a disease,a year back God made me to take a life cover where y blood was tested and my results were negative no disease but I'm praying for him with all of my heart😢🙏

Hey Tony. Hey ladies! I have abstained for years at a time. Its been a few years but I have not been tempted! I haven’t met anyone I am attracted to, so it’s been easy. I’m not conplaining! Also, i got married in a Catholic church in 2008, and although I was out of sin, I married the wrong person and after a while he didn’t even want sex unless he was drunk. Beyond disappointing.

I didn't have sex with a guy for an entire year. We practically became best friends. Then I decided to have sex with him when I was ready and it was great but when we decided to be in a relationship he began cheating on me. Thank you for sharing I have been since 2014 and I’m okay with it because the dating game nowadays is a lot of unhealthy people who’s not know how to love someone who is healthy and whole and ready to date and move on to something more serious. I get that as humans we want to connect spiritually, physically, emotionally to another person, especially to procreate. Standing back and looking at the big picture, people searching for ways to look for a person, where to go, what to wear, what to say, what not to say, how not to look, what to eat, what not to eat, when to be intimate if at all, trying to read each other’s minds & interpret rejection behaviors etc…when you don’t have to do none of that when seeking God’s heart. He said come as you are, no lashes, weaves, cars, houses, degrees, bosses, high value traits and He will give you all of Him and more than you can ever conceive of.
