Z_E_U_S CZ “On November 23, Team Dark picked an unorthodox team composition in their second game against Samsung Galaxy Ozone to honor the recently retired CloudTemplar.”
I wouldn't say these are strange reasons at all. Punishing a player for racism and intentionally throwing matches is completely reasonable and not unusual. Svenskeren got suspended for three games during worlds 2014 because of a racist username he used on the Taiwanese server.
It's not against the rules to suck at the game. I don't think there were certain rankings required to be on a pro team. Should there have been rules in place to require a certain ranking to be on a professional team? Yes, Was in a publicity stunt? Yes. Was playing against the 5 female team that had no chance against the professionals a relative waste of their time? Yes. There was no reason for Vega Squadron the 5 supports, and there was no reason for the RoX to drag the game out and farm for kills. Just ban the meta, or hell, ban nothing. Let them pick for comfort and just stomp them like Vega Squadron did in their 2nd match against them. Take the free win and be done with it. The ultimate way to disrespect them and not get punished would be to try and get a perfect game. Give them no kills, no dragons, no baron.
I always loved how Riot was inconsistent on the banning and warnings. A lot of pro players in the past had SEVERAL warnings, bans, and reputations, yet they were still allowed to play the game despite abundantly toxic behaviour time and time again. Hell, Riot at several times even invited over obnoxious, toxic (past or then-current) streamers of the game ON STAGE no less. During exhibition matches, they would often invite people who either displayer horrible personality/behaviour towards fans in general (some female unnamed cosplayers come to mind). Hell, it took them several warnings and a fucking DDOS attack from a former team COACH for them to say "ok, now you've officially gone too far buddy". Dont get me wrong, I love watching matches. But there's a reason LoL is considered to have such a toxic community, even years down the road. And thats simply; being toxic is REWARDED by Riot, until you reach the point where you're on THEIR cameras.
There have been quite a few "permanent bans" that have been lifted. Along with, as in Riot's wording: "Permanently banned along with all alt accounts to be banned on sight," being allowed to stream their games on smurfs, and later rejoin the pro-scene.
The solution is for riot to stop being anti-fun and to allow toxicity. Every game worth playing has had toxic members, the glory days of titles which reached high commercial success were all some of the most toxic. Counter Strike for one has always been on-par with the peak days of CoD, Overwatch was really only fun the first few years when toxicity thrived, TF2 is well-known for how toxic it was during its peak, I can keep going but my point should be clear. Toxicity is a good thing and shouldn't be ran away from.
@@sadscientisthououinkyouma1867 yes, because nothing screams "fun" more than random players telling you to get cancer, slit your wrists, etc etc. Clearly thats what every game needs.
@@sadscientisthououinkyouma1867 Easy to tell you're a privileged little white boy who got off on calling women whores, calling everyone gay and dropping n-words for "fun". You are a blight.
You're slightly off for the Team Dark punishment. KeSPA is especially tough on Team Dark's behavior because it affects KDA and MVP voting. KDA leaders at the end of a season get a substantial monetary award - something like 200 USD to the KDA leader for each role. This money is also directly given to the player, and not the organization. Also, nobody was happy at Team Dark's actions. CloudTemplar was furious when he saw the pick/bans. Samsung Ozone was super pissed at the end of the game. And of course, KeSPA tacked on lifetime bans on all 5 players.
and team dark wasnt tilted as he stated but were angry even before game started as their team leader Dopa was banned before that match. They came to troll from very begining, they didn't care about their carriers at all.
Nicolai u missed some context as to why dark trolled. Apdo was banned for 1000 years for elo boosting and disqualified from playing so they threw while picking all champions to write a specific messege from the first letters of the banned champions. Gang gal ga= lets go gank.
Actually, during that Team Dark game, they didn't care if they win or lose. Team Dark was Dopa's team, Dopa got banned, and the rest of the team just doesn't care anymore. Also they look sad after that game is because they know that it's their last time be on stage playing pro league.
if u talk about the story of team dark and the reason they troll, it will be fun. Dopa was ban from playing in team dark, since he was mmr boosting and got reported. the team is not happy with that he got ban form playing so they troll the game
I don't get why any of these are unjustified being racist as a player or caster via twitter or in person, having bad sportsmanship, mistreating staff, and throwing when people paid to see you try are all bad things.
2:28 As a Spainiard I have to say that despite it was in Barcelona, those casters were from LAS (LatinoAmericaSud) probably Argentina or Chile so no Spainiard was involved in such dissapointing event. :) Just mere information note, good video.
My brother was banned from a competition BY A RIOT EMPLOYEE for being too good for his solo queue rank. His solo queue rank was silver 1. I was plat 3 at the time. I'd often let him use my computer to play league. So, my lil bro joins a riot sanctioned competition on teamspeak, plays a couple matches and absolutely wrecks these other kids. The Riot employee said he is being banned for SMURFING 🤣 because there is a platinum 3 account at the same ip address. My brother tried explaining that it's my account, not his, but the rito employee didn't believe him and kicked him from the tournament.
The team dark thing i think they throw the game is because since the start, the player from team dark are not professional players. After Dopa(their main player) getting banned during the tournament they no longer think they have a chance of beating a professional team.
I mean im not a corporate guy, but imagine everyone behind these teams and guys who show such a behaviour especially the last one, this is like going to work and just shitting on the desk or insulting customers, you lose money for you, your team and people working in the back, its just so immature.
@@strigonlegends747 it's the extreme irony of censoring a minor hand gesture while fiddlesticks as a literal monster of horror that's used to torture prisoners to death
And yeah, after Team Dark(I named TDK because at that time they write the full name, and no acronym)disbanded(2013),All 5 former players also retired:TDK Chop:after 2013,take a break until 2015,joined a team for 1 month and leaves and Retired.TDK Savilla:after 2013,take a break until 2014,joined a team and battle for 1 more season then leaves and Retired(2015).TDK Plls,TDK Its now and TDK gi bao:Retired after TDK disbanded.
I remember when Yoda did that, im from brazil and that offense is actually meaningless to their country, its dont make sense to then, its an old joke about a common job that japaneses do in our country... but to twitt that you are asking for a ban, really dumb
team dark threw because their leader Apdo was banned just before the game. Their draft was dedicated to the recently retired cloud templar. they didn’t care to win since they lost apdo
