Watching from the great white north! Loving the videos, they are interesting and not to technical which makes it much easier to watch, my husband and I purchased a 2015 Stingray with the Z51 package and can’t wait for the snow to melt, so keep the videos coming!!!!!!!!

I’ve got a 2015 Z06 manual with no problems at all. Not sure what problems your taking about. Some say they over heat but i live in Phx and have had no problems.

@@HorsePowerObsessed How about the ZR1? Some (if not many) believe it is the best looking Corvette, in addition to being the most powerful. But I do not think it looks as good as the Z06. I don't quite like the front end. What do you think?

I agree for the most part. Not sold on the rims or the front end really but it could grow on me. Definitely a beastly car. I'll hang on to my Z06! 👍

@@HorsePowerObsessed Yes. But I don't get me wrong. I would still buy the new ZR1. It is a beastly car, like you said. But I just prefer the looks of the Z06. And I would like to own one before I move on to the ZR1. The ZR1's interior looks fantastic. And the only way to have that interior in a Z06, is by getting a carbon 65 edition.

@@TheTmat007 Agreed. I'll probably have a ZR1 someday especially if the C8 comes out and disappoints but right now I couldn't be happier with my Z06.

Great job on your channel Since you’ve owned several Z06’s I’d like your opinion on my delemma. I’m currenty on the list for a C8 which if I’m lucky I would HOPEFULLY get a year from now…. Since getting on the C8 list I started looking into the C7 Z06 07 and trying to understand the mechanical issues with the different years. I’m currently considering getting a 2015 C& Z06 07 with less tham 500 miles for a somewhat hefty price, but is got everything I’d want and it the best looking of all that I’ve seen. Given you’ve had several Z06’s would you go back to a 2015 thats roughly the same price as a 2019 with 1,200 miles but not a 07? Thanks and keep up the good work….

Thank you! Are you looking at a manual or an automatic? The automatics are what got the biggest boost in cooling for the 2017 model year and up. If it's a manual, you have nothing to worry about and I'd go with the Z07 package car.

Justin, did you do a video on putting in a CAI? I bought 2, the Corsa and the Hall tech and neither one fit under the hood very well, Do you know of any tricks that might help it fit better? The Corsa was my first choice but it just did not fit and the hood stuck up about 1/4" the hall tech is better but not perfect. If you haven't done a vid on that subject there's an idea for you.

The only one I did a video on was installing the GM Performance intake on my ZR1. It fits perfectly.

interesting, I do agree on the auto-synching hatch but I most of all wish my Z07 had the front cameras that my 19 G/S had.

@@HorsePowerObsessed I got a 2015 Z06/7 with 7,800 miles on it. The car is like riding a wild horse,.. you treat it with lots of respect and firmness at the same time.

The non-auto synching has been an issue since the C5 came out. It's because the car is air-tight. So you have to crack a window or open a door or just push it shut. And YES you are slamming it too hard if you are getting it to close when the car is closed up. Something is going to give and it could be your glass.

Exactly. This is why it's on my list of 5 things I dislike about it... They fixed it in the 16's and up, though.

Not able to lower much on the Z07 is the reason I didn’t get that option. I slammed my 2017 Z06 with the stock bolts . Took me 45 min . Very easy Also if I may , there is 1 thing I dislike about the M7 trans , it didn’t have a lockout on the 7th gear . I had to get used to shifting 4 to 5 th without going to 7th

I'll be honest I've never had that problem. The 7th gear takes an actual forceful push to get into for me. The Z07 doesn't go as low as the Z06 but honestly it's it's perfectly the way it is for me all the way down on stock bolts.

You failed to comment on the carbon ceramic brakes...what's your take on them? Mine have a slight "howl/groan" when applying the brakes.

Mine on the Z06 and ZR1 have been great. Typically they'll start to squeal a tiny bit if dirt builds up in between the pad and rotor but when I wash the car it's good to go.

@@jameswalton8927 There's only 2 run flat tires I know of and that's the Pilot Super Sports and the Sport Cup 2's. The Continental are not run flats.

love the fob. feels super sturdy and keyless access is bad ass. lowering can be done by changing the lowering bolts for the archaic leaf spring. stock I did not get much. also you can do Coils but then you lose the Mag Ride but remember the front splitter is so low it hits super easy on anything but perfect roads or driveway. Also get your 3m wrap like I did. the idiot who had mine bitched about paint and did not do the wrap. I bought mine from GM as return. to close just push down with your hand and will close easy. my peeves - A8 slow shift. bad throttle response stock. stiff ride even with Mag ride reflash. too much wheelgap unless lowering bolts. hot air blows through vents even with cooling mods. tire chatter. tire wear is really bad.

I'm one of the few out there that likes the feel of a nice sport ride. you really can't have it both ways you either have a good handling car or you have a comfortable ride. I'm okay with what I have with the z07 package which is definitely a stiffer ride. I wouldn't consider coil springs due to losing that mag ride. I have however considered the DSC controller. That's still up in the air though.

You would think, GM knowing how fussy us Corvette drivers are, that they could design side skirts and protection for the paint chips. They probably have, but it would put weight on the car and get over ruled by the engineers.

I would take the extra weight to have that issue fixed. Every time I go over a road that has tiny rocks on it I cringe.

Key fob is fine. Lowering a Vette is idiotic...especially on PA roads. XPEL is for stones. Have it done by a pro. Worst thing about a Z06? The clear tails. They look like ass. Get ‘em smoked.
