I thank you and your family for keeping your LEGEND ongoing allowing to help us all. Many of us would not be able to afford these trucks if it wasn't for you. RIP Ron
Ok, look. It's November 2023. I'm here because my 2003 6.0 shut off going down the road. I followed this to a T. Crank starts checking data. IPR snapping to 83.9% every time. Followed this to pull the part. Old part out. It's the old style with an open screen. The new part has the peace sign triangle screen holder. New part in. The truck starts right up. IPR doesn't get above 55%. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. She's steady and strong again.
WTF. Ron passed away. Its always the good guys who GO. I'm in shock. I'm new to the Diesel world and his videos help me to grasp troubleshooting issues. You'll be missed Brother.
The King~ After installing my bullet proof oil cooler I got it running then a no start (I thought I was careful enough in cleaning up the valley etc). Took Ron's advice and cleaned out the IPR and thought "no way in hell that tiny tiny bit of metal is my issues." Well Ron is right again and my bus starts up like a champ. Thanks!
What dealership technician back flushes an IPR instead of just replacing it? And then he teaches everyone else how. Ron, you were a damn fine tech and a damn fine man. Miss you brother!
Today this video helped me with not only diagnosing a problem, but also repairing (replacing) an IPR that had failed in my 2004.5 F350. Ron, you were truly a saint doing all of these videos for the community. You are missed.
This video saved my ass on the side of the road out of state....pretty bad I keep a specialty tool box in my truck with those certain tools needed on the 6.0.
For two weeks I searched for help watching Ron mostly. I am a slow learner and had told my wife I loved that man. Two days ago I finally discovered his passing...I am still heartbroken for the loss to his family and the world. His detailed explanations and demonstrations save countless people time, effort and money. His sharing will continue to serve his intent for years to come.
Geez Ron, If your looking down on us watching your videos. Thanks, you have helped so many people. You have honestly probably saved normal diesel owners millions showing us how to fix diesel problems on our own. I'm actually a certified motorcycle tech and certified gasoline car tech. So I'm no dummy when it comes to working on engines but no way would of I had a clue how to work on a diesel without his videos. Diesel engines are just so different from gasoline engines. Yeah they have a few of the same parts but 90% is just different.
