Coming together nicely John! Thanks for all the tips and the effort you put in! I always learn something new watching your videos, take care and be well!
John, I heard your wife thinks it is silly to drive all the way home from the Iowa Sale with an Empty Trailer…and I have to say I agree, she’s right, it’s smart to buy something and bring it home. Safe too!
The car looks great so far! Can’t wait to see it with the wheels and tires! I have an unrelated question. What is your feeling on the level of difficulty for hanging a full rear quarter panel? On a 1-10 level . I have most tools welder and cutters grinders and such. Problem is I would consider myself a beginner when it comes to doing this kind of project. Thanks for your help and keep up the great tutorials. Follow them all the time thanks!
Thanks for watching!! The wheel video is uploading now. As far as the quarter panel goes, make sure door is lined up great before you cut out quarter so you can reference where is supposed to be. Tack it in place and check deck lid fit. From 1-10 it’s a solid 8.5 mainly because getting the quarter to go around door jam reinforcement and hook over back bottom corner of quarter window is a pain I’ll try to see if I have enough footage to make a video out of.
Are you going to paint it? You could do a tractor paint paint job for under $75, It is a "Budget Nova Build" show people how good a "budget paint job" could look. You can even mix Tractor Paint colors and come up with your own color.
@@Shop209 Nice man! I'm going to do a cheap tractor paint paint job on my 77 Skylark when I get to that point in the build. The secret to a good tractor paint paint job is to thin it out more and put less hardner in it. instead of doing a 8:1 paint to thinner mix I do a 7:1 or 8:1.5 depending on the brand I also use a 16:3/4 hardner mix also instead of a 16:1 mix, tractor paint wrinkles because it's so thick, if you thin it out more it dries wrinkle free and because it's now thinner you don't need as much Hardner because then it would dry too fast and would be brittle.
