James Jean is my favourite artist too (I have his Fables cover collection). I feel like his compositions are unlike anything I've ever seen, as well as his colours and subject matter. I know what you mean about getting emotional about his work! I recently also bought Loish's artbook which was good too. Love your channel and art xxx

You're introducing me to so many things! I used to draw a lot when I was younger but lost the passion for it as I grew older- though I go back to it from time to time. However, watching you and your art really made me feel like going back into drawing again! Thank you so much for your recommendations, I find that I really like James Jean and will look into him hehe :D

Great video, I really love James Jean. I have a few of his books too and they're by far my favorites in my collection. Someone I find hugely inspiring is artist Allen Williams. He mostly works in graphite pencil, and some painting as well. If you like dark, otherworldly creature and monster designs, he's right up your alley. His use of texture and organic forms is to die for!

I remember getting this paper magazine years and years ago and in it Mark Rydens art piece The Creatrix was featured in a page and I fell in love with it and ripped it out and hung it on my wall for years before I knew anything about him. James jeans work is lovely as well, also I met Camilla at Comic Con this year her work is lovely! love your art book collections

Could u do a tutorial on how you draw the bodies? I'm having a lot of trouble drawing things like the shoulder, or how you would draw the hands at certain angles.

I have the Avatar and The Legend of Korra Book 1 art books. those shows, in general, just inspire me to be myself and reading the testimonials of the creators and artists is very comforting for me. I would like to become a graphic novelist so I turn to those books to see how, and how long it takes, to create an interesting character design.

You should try Benjamin Lacombe ! His style is near to Mark Rayden! And... do you know Alphonse Mucha? He is my favourite artist, he was really falmous at the beginning of the 20th century.

The artists are very inspiring the most I loved so far are Camilla D'Errico and Xiao Bai because of the techniques and the symbolism of the drawings. As in Xiao the women aren't just innocent but have a mysterious dark side to them which I found amazing and Camilla Ive always love pop art and it just inspired me in the style I'm going for but also combining Xiao's as well. A challenge I do accept👌🤗🤗😊😎

I want to ask you , do you have a book for drawing cloth folds, material and textures? And for Coloring basics and light direction on characters and shading and how person can color the object to show that its metal and like these stuff? Thanks

I love Brian Froud. he does faeries and gnomes and all that. he designed the dolls for the movie "the dark crystal" as well as others. and I also would love to have a artbook from stephanie law! her watercolours are out of this world!

Iadore Mark Ryden. He inspires me and his paintings gave me so much strength. They make me cry and smile. I have never felt these ways befor. PS: Your paintings are lovely, too. =)

I already own Pop Painting and Pareidolia, so anyone who finds those beautiful might like some of the other art books I own. Not all of these are pop surrealism, just to be clear: Frohlich by Brandi Milne Helmet Girls by Camilla D'Errico Rainbow Children by Camilla D'Errico Momentary by Ilya Kuvshinov The Art of Loish by Lois van Baarle Pandora Hearts Odds and Ends by Jun Mochizuki My absolute favorite artist is Chiara Bautista, but she doesn't have an art book (you can find her on Facebook).

Art books are the stuff of dreams. Oceans, deserts, angels, forests, still life, plants and people -- the images stay with you long after you have finished the book. Sci Fi art books are even better. These are my 2 favorite art books on Amazon: - Aviation Art by Lou Drendel - Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson

Hey happy I love your work so much you are my favorite artist. I'm even trying to experiment with fantasy artwork. I was just wondering if you heard of Patrick j Jones? He has a few books out and I thought about buying some of his books. I would love to hear your thoughts about it though. I was also wondering if you thought about working on a book. art & fear is a good one, it's not a book of art but its a book about art... and fear. its really good especially for people who struggle with confidence in their abilities (which is everyone soo if you're reading this read the book)

I have a suggestion!:You HAVE to see "le monde d'edena" by comic artist moebius (Jean giraud)! His artwork is colorful scifi stuff with elements of surrealism. I love the way he adds color to the environment of his art as well as the way he dresses his characters! Very inspirational, some of his artwork is also kinda fantasy inspired, I strongly recommend it!!!
