Learning these first impression techniques and tips will blow away and show off to your potential crush, future boss, or any other crowd of people you come to meet in your life. It has been said that a potential mate judges your appearance in the first 10 seconds of meeting you subconsciously. Learn these tips to make a great impression and earn a shot to become someone’s boyfriend or girlfriend in the long run. Making a great first impression and acting confident will also help you look more qualified for a job, which will impress your boss or any other leader.
Attire and the clothes you wear is important as well because after your face, people judge based on what you are wearing. Grooming is key because the first thing that most people look at is the face. If you have yellow teeth, bad hair, and have not either shaved or maintained your facial hair, people will assume that you smell bad and will not want to associate with you. I know it’s politically incorrect to make these assumptions, but people still do it. You judge a person like the cover of the book no matter what your teachers have told you. It's how we evolved as we needed to know who was trustworthy, who was a leader, and who we should stay away from.
Today we will be going over 8 psychological tricks that will help you nail a first impression in any environment.

1. Stance (Not Practical, Biased) (Personal pref) (Practical stance would be when holding a ladder, lifting, sitting for ergonomic duration), etc. 2. On Time (Potential Practicality, Don't miss the important event, class, job, etc) 3. Tone (Biased based results of self & others, Not universally Practical)(Personal preference based). (Practical for amphitheater singers) 4. Umm (Biased based)(Personal Preference). (Practical uses of 'umm' are when trying to communicate unsuredness) 5. Grooming (Biased Based)...(Hygene is a Practical Health Benificial Practice instead.) 6. Attire (Sitation based. That propagation was Biased based, Not Practical)(Tshirt and jeans are practical for sandpaper crafts, Aprons for messes, etc practicality. Suits are never practical, only vanity or to demonstrate it). 7. Eye Contact (Biased Based, Culture bias.)(Practical Eye contact is when crossing the street.) 8. Know your audience (Makes sense, when possible) PRACTICAL IMPRESSIONS: 1.Go inside when it's too cold outside to chat. 2. Don't text on the phone while driving. 3. Decline harmful situations. 4. Improve present situation. 5. Offer Practical Suggestions & Topics.

I love some of this stuff because it explains human behaviour really well but bits like telling people to wear suits is just social norms that I really want to die out, people think suits = importance because there was a time when only some people could afford that shit making a poor snap judgement that that person is worth talking to, nowadays anybody can afford a suit making it fucking meaningless, it´s like we´re lying to each other about how much money we have
@arandom8280
@arandom8280 7 лет назад
ismellrudolph well, it is to set the tone of yourself. If you see a guy walk in with ripped up jeans, an old shirt that is too small, holes in it and some flip flops, that wouldn't be a guy you would want to hire. A man dressed in a nice suit, that fits well, and he looks sharp, that is the man to hire. The clothes show how much they care about what is happening. It also shows respect to the other person, so they don't have to look at some old ratty crappy clothing.
@swekiwi4517
@swekiwi4517 7 лет назад
Not necessarily. I've hired both men and women disregarding what they wear. Sure. The first impression is important. But did you forget the first tip? Do not judge the book by it's cover? This mentality is not adapted by everyone, but since there are plenty of people who have brains before beauty, I prefer to LISTEN to them first. That's where I decide if they are suitable or not.

Since you mentioned yellow teeth if you want white teeth, I highly recommend activated charcoal. Its not the same charcoal used for grilling. Its used to absorb alcohol poisoning in hospitals, as well as to absorb food poisoning. Totally safe, just be careful not to spill any, it's worse at cleaning up than glitter and if it gets in the carpet there's no way to get it out. - after brushing your teeth with your regular toothpaste all you have to do is get a little bit of charcoal and add water to make a paste, then brush again and let it sit for a couple of minutes, three times a week for a couple of weeks will end up looking better than crest wow strips and you'll spend significantly less. Since you've been helping others with these videos i want to pass this info along to you too.

"Actually" and "literally" have become the "like", "uh", and "ah" of 2017... I've also starting skipping videos that start with "Without further ado". Has Jane Austen come back from the dead and started giving out RU-vid narration tips? Can anybody who uses that phrase, without looking it up, tell you the definition of "ado"? Love the videos that you guys make. Super positive and super helpful!

I never thought of the flute as a "girly" instrument (if such a thing exists) but after you said it's not I totally started to think of why someone would think that way. A long hard tool that you put your mouth on. You created a self fulfilling prophecy.
