fr i never thought Tim was bougie AF until now... Taix is literally the most expensive place in Echo... They only stayed open to help the staff.... what a fuckin prick
We need NYC logic & attitude desperately out here. These influencers & Trust Fund kids have zero respect for anybody, they'd get their teeth kicked in out in the East the way they treat people.
Honestly, and im not even kidding, this is what i actually imagined when he said it in the video until you typed it out and then i read how ridiculous i was being.
I live walking distance to that neighborhood and the problem is that everyone in the city all thinks they’re on the same side of every political issue…so there’s this de facto smugness that people exude when bringing up politics.
See, Ive generally found that it’s the people with shitty beliefs that they are afraid to have people know they hold that are “afraid” of or wish to avoid talking about politics. Only people with beliefs they rightly fear would gain them infamy in social circles are “afraid” to talk politics. But hey, just my experience
Aww Teix.... making me miss the old neighborhood, fellas. I could always count on Teix if I happened to be in LA on a game day. Caught many a 2 bus westbound just steps away from the spot. Shit, Im old.
You know NOT EVEN THE OWNER would have ANY CLUE as to when the place is closing. Red tape can take years. But you can be sure he's NOT FIXING ANYTHING because it's all going to be demolished anyway.
Cracks me up when ppl talk about Echo Park going to hell. Umm… it was always going to hell until it started to be gentrified 20 yrs ago. Just reverting back to what it always was.
he's literally complaining about service at the most expensive spot in echo park that also had the largest amount of staff... and the largest amount of tables... i loved you Tim. I hope i never see you again
Look, he has a point but all I hear is a big boy complaining about his meal and about how he's better because he didn't make others day miserable just because he didn't her his nap time. Which he did if the guy who opened for him has anything to say.
I'll gladly get a comped meal when the server intrudes on my evening. Dinner out is mostly about the experience, especially when you go high end. Learn your role and get some social graces.
YES. I used to get this A LOT with interstate truck drivers when I was a forklift driver unloading trucks. You were the first "non gas station attendant" they had talked to IN PERSON for DAYS. And they'd tell you far more than any stranger would.
I remember when all you had to be was tolerant..now tolerance is being “intolerant” unless you respect each persons’ stupid decisions they make..... Karl Popper’s “The Paradox of Tolerance” has finally come full swing!
T-A-P (tolerance, acceptance, promotion) I’m cool with two out of three but I don’t do promotion...in the words of common sense “if I don’t like it, I don’t like it, that don’t mean that I’m hating”
Do you guys understand this type of broadcasting? Stern uses it. Watched Dave Portny for the first time other day who uses it. Telling stories complaining about other people at nauseum. Unrelenting. Saw Tim on JRE w/ Alex Jones and thought he was great. But, on his own podcast he sounds like the horrible waitress he suffered. Venting is not healthy for listeners. Positive flip side?
