Fantastic. And staying true to his beliefs is so rare. And his love for his wife and for animals and his work and people. Thank you. You are one of my heroes.
I have seen the biography of Bob Barker on RU-vid a few years ago, and I was hoping that I would see it again when it was taken down. Thanks a million!!!
And to this very day, Drew Carey signs off "The Price is Right" with Bob Barker's famous lines..."help control the pet population. Have your pet spayed or neutered!" 😊
Thanks to my great grandmother, I was introduced to Bob Barker through The Price is Right. I’d sit with my 91 yr old great grandmother and watch the show, all the while listening to her gush over Bob. 30+ yrs later and I can remember it like yesterday. ❤️
#RipBobBarker (December 12th 1923-August 26th 2023) 🪦 Bob Barker was the greatest man to ever host a game show. From Truth or Consequences and The Price Is Right to Happy Gilmore to the Miss USA/Universe pageants and beyond, Bob Barker did it all. I was born just before the 25th season started and kept watching the show until Bob retired (I’ve not watched it out of respect for him [now that he’s dead, I cannot watch a modernized game show without seeing Bob on someone else’s face]). Bob’s ONLY television rival during his career/life was Jonathan Frid (Bob lived through Jonathan’s entire life), who portrayed reluctant vampire Barnabas Collins from 1967-1971 on the gothic horror-themed soap opera Dark Shadows as well as the film House of Dark Shadows in 1970. Bob’s love for animals made him the best animal rights activist that ever walked the earth. I own Bob’s autobiography Priceless Memories. Harrah’s Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino is my favorite place in Las Vegas because Bob, then-announcer Rod Roddy and then-models Nikki Ziering & Claudia Jordan took The Price Is Right to the Rio on January 31st 2002 for its 30th Anniversary Special. Even though the Boston Red Sox is my favorite MLB team, the St. Louis Cardinals is my second favorite team because of Bob
Bob Barker had a great career and still "The Price is Right" for 35 years, respect to you Mr. Barker and thank you for his fabulous years spent entertaining us ...
But what you didn’t know is that three years before The New Price is Right, Mark Goodson tried unsuccessfully to hire Bob to host Beat The Clock in syndication in 1969, but he could not legally do so because Bob was hosting Truth or Consequences.
Dorothy Jo was really a good wife . Utterly devoted to ---Barker as she called him . She supported him in what he wanted to do . In the words of this documentary his biggest fan and a tough crtic . Even looking out for him from her death bed when she knew that her husband would be alone without her . Too bad every man does not have a wife like her . Mrs Barker's few appearances on TV showed she had a similar wit to her fsmous husband . They could have been a comedy team !
Bob Barker has so much talent , durinng this video there was a part where it said i think about The Price Is Right, 10 years and going strong. i gotta say, they really said a mouthful there. i mean the show is now in its 50th season i believe. great hosting this of Alex Trebek.
About Bob Barker and his wife I think it can more simply stated in the terms of Gilligans Island . His public image would be of one who would be involved with a glamour girl similar to a Ginger . He actually married a down to earth Mary Ann type .
Do you have the other A&E Biography documentaries from Game Show Week in December 1999 (Vanna White, Monty Hall, Regis Philbin and Merv Griffin), which Alex Trebek also hosted?
Sad that they tried to tear down him being Native American 😪 even though he grew up on a reservation... It's not like it really matters anyway more important things... Its just it is what it is he has Native American blood he's mixed up Native Americans aren't white there in lies the problems people if you don't have Native blood be yourself human beings it's much more important...
