My Thoughts -
I chose the front exhaust version because I didn’t like the idea of the hot air blowing behind the electronics. Every setup is different so give it some thought before you order.
The quality at this price point is quite refreshing. I liked the idea and the model of this company so much that I called them to try and find a job.
Great product and a great price, for some additional peace of mind.

Thank you for sharing brother. Heat and Water are electronics Nemesis. I bought one of these about 3 years ago. I lost power a bunch of times this year and noticed mine was not turning on automatically. I downloaded the manual and I was able to get it to work automatically again. 🐺

@@blazermdx My previous receiver was a Yamaha, which never ran hot. However, when I picked up my Denon receiver this year, and having read of how how Denon/Marantz tend to get, I purchased the fan at the same time. Can you comment on how loud the fans are? Do you hear them at all from your seating position?
@blazermdx
@blazermdx 4 года назад
I was planning on mentioning the loudness of the fans but I totally spaced. The microphone was right next to the phone, when I took the video. I did this to see if it would pick up the fan noise but when I went back and listened, I didn’t hear anything. I sit about 7’ from the fans and I can’t hear them at level 3 or 4. Full disclosure, I also have a larger air purifier, which makes more noise so it likely drowns out any minor noise the AC fans make. They are very quiet and I don’t notice them though. My thoughts are that they do introduce minor noise to a room but not enough to really notice. Thanks for the question, Greg!

@umat6991
@umat6991 3 года назад
Can anyone please give their “ideal” operating temperature(s)? I have the same SR7013. It doesn’t have a lot of airspace to breathe in my install. With my infinity AC T8, the rear exhaust version of your fan, it sits at 88-89 degrees when OFF (in standby mode). However, during normal use, it only goes up to around 91-92. Are these temps considered “normal” or am I running too hot? I never put a thermometer to my 7013 before installing the T8, but it was surely well above 100 degrees and very hot to the touch. Now, at 91-92 degrees, it feels relatively cool. 😎 Thanks.

@@MichaelGreenKites thanks. Ambient temperature of the room, or of the AV cabinet? If the whole room, then she’ll be running constantly 😄. If of the AV cabinet, that would set my fan startup temp around 93-94 degrees.
@umat6991
@umat6991 3 года назад
FYI, I spoke to a Marantz techie who informed me that 85-95 degrees would be considered “normal” operating temperature for my unit. In my personal experience, in its present location, my 7013 sits at 89 degrees in standby mode and climbs to an observed maximum of 92 under normal listening conditions. Without the ACI fans, I’m sure mine would exceed 100 degrees very easily.

@blazermdx
@blazermdx 4 года назад
Actually, I would check with Emotiva, to get the correct answer to that question. I’ve always plugged everything into my Panamax and Furman power/surge protectors, minus a couple very high powered subs, which the manufacturer advised plugging them directly into the outlet. I have owned a few Emotiva amps, and still have a couple, but I’ve always wanted a buffer between the property power and my equipment. With that said, I usually live in dumpy little places, haha, which is why. I would hate to give you advise and then you have an issue down the road so it would probably be best to go right to Emotiva. Thanks for stopping by and sorry I couldn’t be of more help!

I've got nearly the same installation: SR6013 and MM7055. Both of them are equiped with those T10 from AC Infinity. Both T10 are really usefull: Marantz components can get really high in temperature (they can be measured through the T10). I let them in SMART mode and try not getting higher than 30°C (limit fixed to 37°C) and it's working and quiet. 1 thing is a bad note for AC Infinity: the transformer. Only for US (I'm from Belgium in Europe) eventhough the transformer can go to our voltage ranges. But no adapter to get on our UE plugs.

100-110 etc is nothing. Amps will go into thermal protection well beyond that, maybe closer to 170 or so and shut down at maybe 190. Neither of these should really happen unless there is something wrong. Blasting low impedance speakers where the amp really isn't up to it etc. An Emotiva amp review that I just read stated that the fans don't even switch on until the unit reaches 156 degrees.

@hyperny9817

Hi Dustin, enjoyed the review. You mention that you read that the fan units need some room to breathe. Why is that? Do you know how much room they need? I have an open AV table. There are 9 inches between the bottom glass shelf and the one above. It's open on all sides. I was thinking of purchasing an AV receiver that is just under 7-5/16 inches tall, so a T8 (venting to the rear) would just barely fit. Thanks.

On the manual of my receiver it states to keep away from any vibration. Would this cause any unwanted problems in the future?
@blazermdx
@blazermdx 3 года назад
In an ideal situation, your electronics wouldn’t be exposed to vibrations. It’s just not great on the internals, especially when exposed to larger vibrations over a longer period of time. With that said, I have seen some folks systems where they used subwoofers as an stand for their receivers, Xbox etc. and they didn’t have any issues. If there’s no way around avoiding vibrations, I would definitely invest in some rubber isolation pads like some Soundrise Domes, to keep the vibrations at a minimum. Where are you putting the receiver, that makes you concerned about vibrations?

Great video. Been eyeing one of these fans to purchase. A few questions for you... Is there a setting for the light up panel to dim down? Does the fan come on by the receiver trigger or have to turn on manually? Also, which power conditioner are you using? Do you have a video for that one? Thanks in advance for any info you can supply.
@blazermdx
@blazermdx 4 года назад
Yes, there’s a way to dim the screen and to turn it off completely, even with the fans running. There’s no trigger or anything so your best best is to just leave them running. I actually leave my amp and receiver on at all times. There’s been a debate of whether it’s good or bad to leave amps and receivers on and I’m in the “always on” camp. No real reason why I’m on that side of things though. The conditioner I’m currently using is a Panamax M7500-Pro. Here’s a brief video I made, explaining my decision on buying it. @blazermdx
@blazermdx 4 года назад
I’ve never noticed a difference in sound or video quality, to be honest. My main reason for always having a Furman or Panamax in my system is I like there to be a buffer between my equipment and the property power. I’ve lived in some pretty dumpy places, haha, and I’ve always been skeptical of how consistent and “clean” the incoming power is so I like the peace of mind. The unit I grabbed off Craigslist was the top Panamax, the M7500-Pro, which offers their top protection/filtration. Since owning it, I’ve had 4 or 5 power outages/surges and I’ve experienced zero equipment failure. Wether or not it saved my gear, no clue, as I’ve never been willing to run my main setup with out a conditioner. Not sure if that helps or not but I wanted to share my honest take on it. Thanks again for stopping by!

I sit about 6 feet from my dual T10 fans, which is closer than most, but they do add some noise to the room. They are very quiet but not silent, that’s for sure. I leave them on non stop and now, I don’t even notice them but I also have a heat pump and a large air purifier about 10’ away. The slight fan noise was totally worth the peace of mind and if your seating distance is a little greater than 6’, I doubt you would notice them at all. Would buy them again, without hesitation.
