Original video description:
Grade 6 ADI Trainer, Ged Wilmot, gives a demonstration of how to conduct a Part 3, Phase 1 session on the Left Reverse. Claire Wilmot portrays the learner driver. Traditional instruction is predominantly used throughout, which is currently the preferred style for the Part 3 examination. More 'pure' coaching videos will be made available at a later date for ADI's wishing to provide a more natural, client-centred style of learning.

great videos ged and claire, wish i had watched them all before i failed my part 3. you dont realise how little time you have and didnt really get time to teach the se paralell park properly as he was panicing as we were out of time and he chose a street that had a school on it and everyone was taking there kids to school. Also he said that when i was showing him how to do arm signals his hand was in all sorts of positions and i hadnt been taught to look out for the correct hand position.

Claire is role-playing a pupil. During the final examination to become a driving instructor, the examiner will role play a pupil in the same way. That is the way the test is conducted :-)

@ismaillea Hi - I am not really a fan of acronyms like the ones you mention, but lessons should follow the following structure: Introduction, Recap, Aims & Objective, Briefing / Q&A, Practice (with regular 'mini-debriefs' as I call them!), End of session debrief and action plan. I guess that mirrors the acronyms you typed (Introduction, Recap, Objectives, Main Points, Practice and Summary), although not entirely sure what the 'c' stands for in the first one?!

@ddfffggghhhh We have had students from Birmingham travel to us for training. Our sessions are for 3 or 6 hours, and we also offer residential courses. However, we appreciate that some may prefer training closer to home, or shorter sessions so they can practice their newly-learned skills at home before returning for another session. I have emailed you a list of Grade 6 ORDIT registered trainers in your area - I hope one suits you, but please get in touch if you need any help in the future!
