Everyone is rightly applauding Jordan for standing up for himself, but I'd like to give props to Kyle. He can be a self-absorbed jerk, but when his daughter needs help he immediately steps up.
Ikr he failed as a husband but he's amazing as a father and saying this as someone who also deals with depression, I wish my own father had been like that with me too.
Actually, he's a pretty bad father and a source of terrible advice. A large part of why Sarah treats Jordan so badly is because Kyle told her that she's the dominant one in the relationship and therefore needs to decide everything. Sarah took this and ran with it, toying with Jordan's emotions while really serving her own interests. It's a bit surprising, given Kyle's history of adultery, that Chrissy is so willing to overlook it and seemingly not worry that it could happen again if Kyle decides he needs more than one woman can give him (again).
Man. The Jordan and Sarah element of the episode shocked me in a good way. It was a turning point in the Jordan/Sarah dynamic. After two and a half seasons of playing along with Sarah's wishes, Jordan finally stands up for himself and calls out Sarah on her BS. I understand Sarah has her struggles but she often has a habit of imposing them on others and using them as an excuse to not take responsibility for her mistakes. For the longest time, everyone walked on eggshells around Sarah due to them not wanting her to have another downward spiral, but she ended up going through one anyways. And for the longest time, she took advantage of her loved ones compassion to get off easy, especially with everyone forgiving her for cheating on Jordan and insulting her mother about Kyle's affair. But now, Jordan has decided that he is done letting Sarah off the hook. She has played games with him since day one. I believe Sarah truly loves Jordan but is caught up in her own way to actually appreciate it. Jordan has loved Sarah for half of his life but has finally decided to stop chasing after her. I think it was that moment that Sarah began realizing that she has hit rock bottom. She has trashed her father for drinking irresponsibly, her mom for putting up a front, and Jordan for not being present. Now, she has gone and done all three things and somehow expected a walk off. However, this time, nobody is cutting her slack, especially Jordan: the one person who has always forgiven Sarah, been patient with her, and saw the best in her. But, I think after what happened, Jordan realizes that because he cares so deeply for Sarah, he cannot be friends with her or play by her demands anymore. He wants to be with her, but has chosen to stop letting Sarah off so easily and so has finally set the boundary he needed to set with her. Sarah realizes she has taken advantage of Jordan's kindness for the last time and he's done letting her off easy. That was probably what hurt the most and made Sarah finally realize how low she's been going.
@@micahfranklin4560 sarah need stop be around Jordan he want get over her she always in his face or around him why she upset when Jordan he doesnt want be friends with her ???.
Lol no Lana from that show was just absolutely annoying . Her character on that show was terrible. To much complaining over every little thing it was good when she finally left that show , they wrote the character horribly
@@Batman-lg2zj - Yes, she did. She friend-zoned him after he saved her and Lana from Lana-Rho and told her the truth about himself. But she treated him like dirt. Even after he saved her from the car wreck, her tone of voice in speaking to him was rude. Like how dare he have feelings that she didn't tell him to have!
First off, mad props to Jordan for calling Sara out on her crap. Secondly, Jordan is mad as hell and he should be, but Sara is overreacting about him hating her. He just needs space
She's been treating Jordan like a doormat all season and as he calls her out on her crap she thinks that he hates her? Yet again if he did I can't say I blame him
Damn props to Jordan for not letting Sarah off so easily because he has played along with her wishes for so long and loved her but now he’s realised he needs to set boundaries. Im sure that Sarah does love Jordan but he’s done letting her off so easy with everything. I bet they’ll probably get back together just cause of the writers and now he’s probably going to forgive at the end of season just cause of the writers.
Kyle (not the best source of relationship advice) told Sarah a while back that she was the dominant one in her relationship with Jordan and that meant that she needed to call the shots in their relationship. Sarah took that to heart and has been trying to control Jordan. He's gotten sick of it though and has finally realized that she will never respect him if he keeps allowing her to make all the rules.
@@daniels7907 yeah i didnt forget but that was when she was getting frustrated cause jordan was keeping the whole half superman dna side a secret since he was told not to tell sarah.
@@Mike-fc9bx - She only came clean about the cheating because the guilt was gnawing at her. Frankly, it's none of her business what goes on in the Kent household. Also, we were shown a number of times that Sarah ghosts Jordan when she's not in the mood to talk. But she was furious with him for not immediately responding to her calls or texts. She maintains a double-standard in her relationship with him and he's gotten tired of it. But, as an example of how self-centered she is, the fact that Jordan *saved her life* was less meaningful to her than the worry that her DUI will prevent her from going away to college!
They need to insert a new love interest for Jordan next season. Gotta give Sarah some competition. The love interest should be powered somehow so that she's more relatable to Jordan and better than Sarah in every way
@@wkadalie agreed. There's gotta be something to draw Jordan's attention away from Sarah to see if she genuinely cares about him or just likes having him around to feed her ego
This is what I've said for so long. Jordan letting himself get kicked around by Sarah for so long pissed the hell out me. He finally stood up for himself.
The look of just, pure defeat on Sarah's face is just, wow. I'm happy for Jordan. Like, she's been using him and blames everyone for her mistakes. So, when Jordan finally put her in her place, she wasn't expecting it. Like, she was always using him. She's a manipulative person. She tried manipulating him there with the "We both said things we didn't mean", and he didn't go for it. I'm calling it tho, they'll be back together by the end of the season. I just feel that it'll happen.
Honestly, as long as Sarah grows as a character, I would be okay with them getting back together. But, Sarah is not emotionally mature enough to be with someone. I hope they use this for growth.
@@darththeo I'm with you, 100%. If she actually grows as a character and isn't so manipulative towards Jordan, I'm down. I think they could be a good couple, but it's just been so one sided in her favor, so, if she actually grows as a character, from this, I'm down.
I agree the writers want them together. But the fans don't. Sara has really shown no growth....she needs to just either let Jordan go or get back together. But stop stringing him along.
It was especially arrogant of her to speak for Jordan ("We both said things we didn't mean.") That should tell you all you need to know about her attitude that Jordan isn't allowed his own feelings or opinions about their relationship. Sarah will decide for him what he is allowed to feel and say. Or she did until he finally had enough. She would have been *dead* if it weren't for him, but she's really more upset about a DUI that she totally deserved.
i get so tired of this trope of a girl treating a man like crap cheating on him etc and the guy is just suppose to take it and move on. Jordan needs to find a real woman.
Or even just girlfriend to "friends", because I'm pretty sure that Jordan didn't score with Sarah. Contrast Sarah and Jordan with Jon and his girlfriends (the ex and Candice).
I mean Jordan could of been nicer, not like he was being perfect when she said she didnt want to be with him, he did butt into the conversation, ( Ive seen people say he got Social Anxiety disorder which he does) but thats not an excuse to act lick a douchebag, im glad Sarah is growing as a person cause she been toxic af sometimes and finding a sense of purpose taking baby steps, and im glad Jordan is growing up seemingly and doing the step of cutting her out. He could of stayed being friends or cut it off, and cutting off someone u have tried to be friends with but cant is very grown up and adult thing to do, its hard but good on him. I believe they still will end up together but not after each person grows as people and figure out what each person wants from each other or the world
To be honest, I'm more disappointed in the way the writers have handled Sarah in the past two seasons than with the character. It's like they've been desperately searching for some teen drama stereotype to plug her into. She cheated on Jordan! With a girl! She's Hispanic! She's from a broken home! She's a singer-songwriter! Now she's emotionally troubled! Again! She's gonna be the waitress at the local diner! Jeez. Pick a lane and stay in it, writers...
@@banefulbanettedlc9116 I don' think you should gate keep roles. If you want equality. Like you can't kill off gay characters now. Some of the most powerful moments are characters who died. You're actually taking away powerful roles from gay people. I always felt like Joker was gay....he has a thing for batman. And now you're saying he can't be. Even though he's one of the best villains. Mental illness is a good story for a character...
@@wkadalie I think having gay characters is great but the fact that LGBTQ is seen by people who don't agree with as a mental illness doesn't pair well with being given to the depressed character if it was someone who was cheery most of the time sure but the person who's past is a suicide attempt and depression isn't a great look
@@banefulbanettedlc9116 Everybody goes through mental illness. It's a story that's relevant for all groups. I don't think anyone else saw that as a issue. Especially since she was straight when she tried to kill herself. So nobody was making those connections.
Honestly they need space from one another. Once they’ve grown, they might make good friends for each other, but they don’t seem healthy for each other beyond that. Your first love doesn’t always end up being or even needs to end up being your true love.
@@dx7689 when I mad the post I didn’t realise who else had been cut, it’s like they want tiger final season to Fail John Henry is one of my favourites in the show I know it’s for “budget” but they really don’t need to cut that many people
Because it's more than just a comic book hero series like the others. It's a well written and directed storyline with great actors. The mix of family drama and comic series is very balanced.
Sarah is suffering from self-inflicted problems. Her parents allowed her to get away with too much after her last suicide attempt under the assumption that whatever made her happy kept her safe. But she was still rebellious and often contemptuous of her parents. She friend-zoned Jordan for no good reason and then rubbed her new "friendship" with Junior in his face. Then she drank at a kegger, tried to make a getaway from the police and ended up nearly getting killed in a car wreck if Jordan hadn't saved her and Junior. She then arrogantly tried to put Jordan back in his place with a half-apology where she tried to put the blame equally on him. Having finally developed a spine, Jordan rejected Sarah's self-righteous "apology" because he knew that he wouldn't have gotten one if he hadn't saved her life. Kyle and Sarah need to treat her as immature, because she is for all her airs. Although I wonder if now she will latch onto Jonathan since he made similarly bad decisions in S2.
@@michellelohde8683 - Yes. Her suicide attempt isn't a well-kept secret. Not least because Sarah has used it for years to get her parents to pander to her because they're scared of a repeat. Sarah initially bonded with Jordan because they both have mental health issues. But Sarah only ever cared about her own, not Jordan's. So Jordan always tried to be as nice as possible, whereas Sarah just treated him however she felt like at a given time.
It was nice in the finale that Jordan admitted that he was in pain because they weren't together and Sarah gave him that look, realising that Jordan was in fact still in love with her and didn't regret falling in love with her.
Honestly, I have always really liked Sarah. I haven't seen the third season or finished the second. I think she truly loved Jordan and wasn't playing games with him until this season, which i havent seen so i do not know for sure.
Watching the clips 1 yr later, Why the hell is Sarah saying that Jordan "hates" her? Just because he called You out for Your shit doesn't mean he hates You, Sarah had done so many bad things to Jordan before and he still didn't hate her, And when he called her out on her crap she says that he hates her? If Jordan gets a new gf and Sarah realizes in S4, Ooo boy, It's gonna be GOOD.
All for nothing. Most of the cast has been cut for season 4 including Sarah and Lana and Kyle and General Lane. It won’t have anywhere near the effects or cinematography budget either. This show deserves so much better than The CW ownership change shitshow.
@@thaddeusskywalker5293 If they ARE AVAILABLE. They are not under contract anymore and are free to sign on to any other project. So, they MIGHT appear in Season 4.
I didn't realise how weird some people are with Sarah. Y'all do realise you can discuss her flaws without making her out to be a supervillain right? Lol
@@micahfranklin4560 I am hoping they do. I really think that season 4 will be the last season, and it will have a flash forward sequence in the finale, where it reveals that Sarah and Jordan got married. Sarah is supposed to come back as a recurring character next season, so it wouldn't surprise me if her and Jordan reconcile at the end of this season.
Sa fait trop bizarre de voir jordan aussi glacial avec sahra sivil les sorties c est qu il voulai être seul c est pour sa aussi qu'il ete froid avec Sarah moi a sa place je me sers est servi de mon pouvoir pour allez loin
