Yeah, it's why Jedi's wear robes ... despite the weather, season or appropriateness of the clothing. ie Becaues ANH had Alec Guinness stand around looking imposing as Uncle Ben, while wearing a bath robe in the desert. That 'moment of cool' works if you don't have a character that's easily recognised for children, or you need to put a character in the background and have them wait for their time to speak ... but it doesn't do much in a dialogue scene. The stoic look / pose doesn't work if you keep using it as a default state of rest. While it makes sense if you planned that out ... they stretched out Alec Guinness's method acting into 9+ movies, because it looked cool. Now it's a uniform for Jedi. While it has some practical benefit if you're going to be in combat all the time and need something lightweight and acrobatic, okay. But a jumpsuit/spacesuit or military uniform would also be just as practical.

The real problem with this show, more than anything else, is that it's very obvious that no one is allowed to die. Ahsoka, Sabine and Hera are in no danger so it's very boring to watch them.
I recall cortosis, probably spelling it wrong. But anyway if made into a blade it was sharp enough to cut through most things like butter, even had the nifty skill to short lightsaber if it came into contact with the "light" blade. The main reason why it hadn't been used in legend was just that it was way to bloody expensive, so instead they used what they had, crushed it into dust and made semi resistant lightsaber armor. That was pretty much the closest thing they had to "anti" lightsaber material.
@@francois9018 Cortosis was mainly featured in the EU, and it was very brittle despite being able to shortcircuit a lightsaber for a while. Beskar or Mandalorian iron was exclusive to Mandalorians only.
Grimm only fell off at the end when they Went to Overarching plot lines. The Wessen on the week and World building of Portland was great. The Icebeiber Community episode or the Valentine Cupid hotel episodes were so good
I'm disappointed at Star Wars Theory. Fanboying all over this episode. He can't possible be objective about this. And many RU-vidrs are blinded by just fan service of seeing just Anakin alone? Like what the hell does Ahsoka need saving and how does she spontaniously went to the WBWs? Ezra had to go all the way to the Jedi temple in order to enter the portal. And I'm afraid Disney won't explain this at all.

I don't watch the show (not even subscribed to Doucheny +) but watch the reviews - with an open and objective perspective - and it always looks like Ahsoka and Sabine have this "Will they or won't they" look between them. Not to mention that watching the 'fight' scenes are absolute shite.

Yes, finally someone else said it. TCW Anakin is Filoni's fanfiction, both in terms of his character and looks, along with his shoehorned immortal OC waifu. Now they finally decided to include Hayden because of nostalgia and people's perception of him changing for the better so that they could milk the crowds that grew up with the Prequels.
It really is fanfiction because Filoni Anakin is nothing like the real Anakin. Literally at all, if you want a good adaptation of Anakin go check out the 2004 Clone Wars. Captures him perfectly.

Even the voice actor sounded like Hayden and despite the animation style, they actually captured him perfectly, not to mention the story added up to what happened in AOTC and ROTS. Filoni's CW very obviously tried to create a new version of Anakin to appeal to prequel haters who criticised his portrayal in the PT. They literally admitted they tried to make him a blend of Han Solo and Luke (?). Lols, Anakin is nothing like Han.
I truly miss when star wars actually had "Wars" in it. Like every battle scene now is just poorly choreographed plot armor good guys vs incompetent goons. What happened to the intense space/ground battles and badass lightsaber duels?

I've recently been rewatching all 3 Lotr extended editions. Something I noticed is how efficiently the writers of the trilogy established the relationships between the characters from movie to movie. Because of how well the dialog and scenes are written 3 different people can watch each extended edition movie by itself and would still come away with largely the same understanding of the how the characters relate to each other. Filoni is an idiot for expecting people to watch his other work when he can just cut all of the insanely long and awkward pauses between line deliveries and replace them with actual character establishment and development.
Why doesn’t Sabine have a jet pack? Why doesn’t Ashoka just slice the ball in half instead of grabbing it? Why doesn’t Hera show any concern after her fleet is obliterated?
The main issue the bar is so low that "mid" is the new "amazing". People in general (not just with Star Wars) have not either experienced or were alive to see greatness. Films like the Godfather and TV shows like The Wire are from another time.
That is true , not saying that back in the days movies were just better but they felt diferent. Maybe cause of the dirty agenda push nowday. Technically There are 4 main characters Luke, Mara, Leia, and Thrawn. Thrawn is Technically the Main character because the book opens and ends with him and we spend many chapters understanding his thoughts, Tactics and what he wants Luke and Mara are the Secondary protagonists because they have their story lines cross at many points thru out as they deal with the Jedi and Palatines orders. And Leia is the main character of the Nohgiri who follow Thrawn as Body guards and discovers there past and what the Empire did to them. It’s a great trilogy of books that dosent leave anyone out and give everyone the spotlight
@@FirenTGX I hate how Disney obliterated this franchise. Even when they had something good, like the Mandalorian, they would ruin that too with the 3rd Season. And don't even get me started on the Obi-Wan show...Ahsoka has been amazing thus far and that's because it's being made by Dave Filoni, who actually cares about this franchise and its characters. He also corrected a lot of stuff in this show (like characters being OP and the jump into lightspeed, which now acts like an EMP that disables other spacecraft rather than obliterating them. But no one is giving him credit for those, unfortunately.
Ahsoka's ship was located about a dozen clicks away (about 8 miles). Let's say Ahsoka and Sabine were half way to Baylan when they bumped into Shin and Casper the force wielding ghost. Ahsoka manages to insta travel the remaining 4 miles to Baylan after leaving Sabine and Shin to fight then those two also insta travel so see Ahsoka lose her duel. Why mention the ship has been found 12 clicks away when you're just going to shoot it like it's through the next set of bushes? The writing for Disney star wars is beyond dog shit.
When you relize that in Andor, deaths of two common people are the catalyst that the whole story is built upon, but in like Mando Season 3, four bandits die because they wanted to drink in a former bar that is a school now... Their stupid principle to drink in school gets them killed...
Andor is clearly far to mature for most modern Star Wars fans who just want endless and pointless lightsaber fights and shoot ups. Andor is SW for thinking adults. Probably explains why it rated so badly

This show relies on the lore channels to support it so much and keeping them interested. Its just... that scene in the clone wars where the clone bodies are puppeted by assasin droids lulling the thing that keep it on life support into a false sence of security. Also, has filoni forgot that sabines armor is mando iron, and is not as strong as mandos armor.... SOMETHING HE CAME UP WITH TO EXPLAIN WHY DEATHWATCH ARE CANNON FODDER, like sabine almost died in rebels to a headshot.
I am sooo gonna laugh when we have the next episode just be "Meanwhile on the other side of the galaxy" and we have a slice of life comedy with Ezra and Thrawn living together like an old married couple on a crashed spaceship. :D
I think a lot of people got caught up in some of the eye candy. Let's start with the fact the nuke droids could have just taken them out self destructing without them knowing. Sabine magically got better with a lightsaber, Ashoka's second lightsaber disappeared (more on that later). The light saber duels were fine. Marrek was a green fart? They know exactly where to run in that forest canopy. Ahsoka wanted the map ball yet didn't use force grip to grab it nor threw her second light saber at the map reading device linked with the ship. Looking forward to some Anakin butchery next week.
i don t even know who is that ezra , and now i am rooting for the vilains , because asoka and her team are too dumb to do anything correct or even acceptable , they re just dumb.
There are so many gotcha moments in your video that aren't gotcha moments and can easily be explained. The episode isnt perfect, and a lot of things you point out are valid points, but there are a lot of things that make perfect sense if you just thought about it a little more
I agree I also noticed the one-saber fightand ther ending is how she will catch up to the bad guys and the fact on the supposed good guys betrays her friend
Ahsoka is literally, pew pew, lightsaber, member berries. Nothing more so far. My girlfriend who didn't watch the cartoons said to me during episode 4 "what is the story?" So I explained about rebels ezra and thrawn, and she said to me "wouldn't that be good for new viewers like me to know because their isn't even a flashback or conversation about what the plot is!!" she was the one who said the show was Pew Pew, lightsaber, member berries.
two issues i had with this episode. 1: i’m never surprised; i know exactly how the next episode is going to happen. blues clues gives more difficult clues ffs. 2: the fact that they decided to make baylan the most relatable and competent character further makes me just want to root for him and wish ahsoka would’ve died instead of progressing from the brink of death trope that will happen next episode…

The truth is that Filoni Wars was only good because he was stealing so much from the EU. Now that he has to write his own original content it's more obviously crap.
The Filoni Disciples that keep coming back to Disney Star Wars are like victims of abusers, clinging to false hope. The abuser says "I love you, I'll never hurt you again" and for a time acts normal. The victim is lulled into a trance and the abuser once again assaults them. "Dave Filoni is our savior, he's going to save Star Wars!!!!!" they cry out.
It's ALMOST like they are trying to prove that the average woman does not understand sci fi. Or storytelling. Or art. Or like they are trying to reinforce stereotypes of clueless women. And by women, I guess I have to include Feloni now.
The main problem this show has is that the majority of the fanbase can't be bothered with it. Now THAT IS a problem when it's a self proclaimed flagship for an entire franchise moving forward. Ahsoka was made for a subset of a subset of a fanbase, which is fine but this thing isn't going to carry or forge anything for the future of Star Wars. The wires are all crossed here. I think it had to be elevated into something its not in the wake of the failures of other projects (especially Obi-Wan, man! That really shocked them). I don't hate Ahsoka but as a multiple viewer of all four seasons of Rebels I don't care about it either. It's just not good enough.
I find it hard to believe Andor and Ahsoka exist in the same universe. It is like trying to believe Game of Thrones and Looney Toons are the same universe.
