This Alexander Technique video guides you through a simple arm raise exercise. This is one of my favourite Alexander Technique exercises as it can help you discover and overcome so many different habits in the way you use your arms and shoulders. As you get more skilled at this exercise, you will find that your shoulders become more free and your arms become lighter and more mobile.
It's been really helpful for me and many of my Alexander Technique students to improve shoulders and arms so I hope you find it useful too!

This is a really simple exercise that you can use regardless of how much Alexander Technique experience you have. Hope it helps!

Your communication is excellent. I noticed I raise my shoulders. This exercise you showed here will help me to be more aware of my everyday movements and tension I use during these movements and how to "let it go." You have the best Alexander Technique videos on You Tube!

AT has gained popularity in homeland Australia. Used by professional ballet dancers and athletes.

Glad to hear it! It seems to be getting more popular around the world at the moment. Partly due to the clinical studies that have shown it's effectiveness but also more people have had time to think about their health during the lockdown. The technique can help anyone, not just athletes and performers.
