I so agree! Can we do a Statewide initiative to ban toll roads in California? Our tax dollars built it and we can take it away. Note the toll system has investors so it’s not about environment it’s about money. Rich vs not so rich. I drive every day back and forth costs me a fortune if I toll or a fortune of time to avoid them. Notice Orange County is the greatest profiteer in tolls. Does nothing to save time.
The system is rubbish. I’m unable to pay the toll for the rental car I’m using on both the app and website, and tomorrow I’m leaving the US. I don’t know wt to do. Will I be charged huge fines when I enter the country next time ?
Why doesn't your "The Toll Roads" published statistics include statement of how many obviously errant motorists entered the system? A way of realizing an errant entry is by recognizing motorists who twice passes a single toll plaza in opposite directions within the time reasonably required to reverse directions utilizing the first available road exit/entry pair.
Like other folks here I am confused. I had the transponder box and I was later issued a transponder sticker. They are both installed but do I need both of them? I obviously cannot set the number of people in the vehicle on the sticker, does that mean I no longer get credit for 3+ people?
Hello - when using both sticker and switchable (flex tag) - where should one properly position BOTH on the inside of the windshield? Thank You for a reply.
They sent me two transponders one for the inside of the car and one for the outside. Please update these instructions. Neither transponder is labeled so the uses has no idea which is which. Please get your act together and make a video that actually follows the product your are sending out to your customers.
Even the errant first time visitor must pay the toll to escape. I almost never drive on the 91 freeway. The sad circumstance of attending a funeral put me on the 91 and I would want to exit on the Gypsum Canyon exit,,,,, which is just a little bit past the exit for the 241 toll-road. Stupid-me got on the 241 exit from which there is no exit. It's easy for The-Toll-Roads to review my 9 minute logged adventure on their roads and realize my passage wasn't for a through-trip. It's a minimum 7.4 miles round trip past their Windy-Ridge-Toll-Plazas to get turned around. There's no forgiveness for obviously errant or stupid drivers.
Yes , when you use the toll roads REMEMBER where you entered (signs will tell you "toll roads beginning" ) and where you exited . Then go online to Toll Roads: enter in your date of trave, and license plate # and either have them calc your fee or manually put in where you entered and exited. And it'll charge you . BE SURE TO DO IT Within 5 days otherwise they'll tack on like a $6 fee then i think it goes up from there.
When you made your account they had you put the license plate of the vehicle you will be using so once you drive through it they will know to automatically take it out of your account. You should be fine.
