This was absolutely fantastic. It was like being there, having a coffee with you, watching you 2 having a general conversation. I loved it. Steph is priceless.
Just watching Meg over the last several months, I've seen her become a helluva crew member! And Flor, she was so stinking cute and was also a very good crew member as well!
You two are a beautiful couple, get along well having fun and Bobby, you need to bring Steph with you on all your voyages she makes an excellent firstmate and a beautiful one👍🤞
kinda lib to me, so an RV park shouldn't be allowed to have any people stay for more than 2 weeks? they should forfeit income and limit reservations? that's nice, so its ok to dictate that a business should have to do business with their hands tied behind their back! .so warm and fuzzy when its not your money
Wonderful to view and hear an in depth conversation between Bobby and Steph. I could listen to her, her laugh and spontaneous sense of humor and honest expression and reaction. Her speech is easy on the ears, she is pleasant and comfortable to gaze with. She can be my clinical speech pathologist, my speech will be greatly improved. Great work, stay well, together and prosper.
Hey guys, I used to work in the RV industry. ( prior to 2008), at the time the majority of RVs were only driven once to Florida then parked for the rest of its days. Parked on a pad in a RV/mobile home park until they were replaced. Also, at that time after your first RV the national average was to buy your new one within three years. Buying next step up in scale/price every time. So, starting say with a RV like yours then after a few iterations being in a 50' rear diesel pusher with a 600hp ISX. Love the pod cast too!
didn't seem very loving to me with her immediately ready to engage in an argument when he told her the truth about best business practices....that this isn't the way the world works
How fun this was to watch. I loved the banter between you two. You seem like a great fit. We live full time in our 43ft Motorhome and going on 5 years. We know about travel. If ever in Portland area in the summer or Yuma in the winter let me know. Will go golfing and have a good time. Thanks again. Randy
You guys are too funny. Your personalities complement each other. You make a good couple. It is nice to listen to Stephanie with you for a whole Podcast.
Hi Bobby and Stephanie!! Been subscribed to Sailing Doodles for awhile now. Love the videos! This is so awesome to catch the two of you on podcast. And, discussing Burning Man. I literally just stumbled across a Burning Man video last week. Looks like an awesome awesome time!! I hope you video it? Looking so forward to you getting the new Catamaran Bobby! That will be so freaking awesome! You both have so much energy and I love watching your Channel for sure! Keep on Keeping on!!
woww its about time Bobby we have known for a wile Steph is and has been a part of your life and she is a wonderful person and has a lot off spirit wooww you need to do more of this her o nasty and those eyes and yes she blushes meaning she is honest she is a pearl of the ocean.
In Vail try lunch at Mountain Standard by the creek. Breckinridge is really busy and so is Dillion. I70 is busy. But if I had a camper I would head for Estes Park and get inside Rocky Mountain Park! Really you could just spend one month in Colorado it is so much fun. Try to get away from the people. Easiest way is to go early and then late afternoon and evening as people go to dinner. Beat the heat go high go north.
WaKeeney has a grocery store. It’s called Malays market. I grew up in Kansas and yes there are towns that don’t have much in them and some don’t have grocery stores but most people in those towns have gardens.
I'm so glad that you reposted this! I will try to make the next one but it starts when I am heading home from work. However, I was glad that I could watch it after the fact.
I totally agree with Steph about the RV rental cap. I work all the t8me and would love to take my camper for the week or weekend to a wonderful place, just to get away but the RV parks are always so booked.
HEY, I grew up in a town exactly like you are describing!! I moved when I was 18 and haven't looked back. But growing up there was awesome. Wouldn't trade it for nothing!!!
Steph, you explained it yourself...some people like to travel and keep moving, other people don't. You might struggle staying in one place for a long time, but LOTS of other people feel different. Also a lot of people have an RV or a boat not as a way to travel, but as a way to have a vacation home that is cheaper than buying an actual house in that location. Same as people that have a vacation home somewhere.. Also RV parks might not even have limits to a stay, but State and National parks and National Forest lands do have limits. So those places there is more ability to turn over and allow more people to see the land.
If you make your way down to San Diego I will hook you guys up with a place to stay, you are so fun to watch your banter back and forth, wow Stephanie you have grown!
Bobby look forward to you cruising the South Pacific on Maverick - don't do the milk run. It takes at least 6+ months to really see the Pacific. Hopefully you will cruise Australia before going on to the Indian Ocean. Besides the Great Barrier Reef, you need to check out Ningaloo Reef (West Aust) - June/July. Great place to be at that time of year. The world is your oyster.
I’m so glad Steph grew a pair - good for you Steph!!!! Your responding to Pimp Daddy Bobby when he copped one of those roll of the eyes like your back pack (water/hydration pack) It took my girl friend years to learn Gen set & engine sizes. Bobby could have helped by comparing his new 55kw to the two on DS. At least he’s warmer and kinder to you Steph!! Both of you be safe and enjoy each other.👍😎
Good video. However I enjoy my home. Did travelling thing for 20 months Europe, Africa, America (west), China. Spent 20+ years on road, (engineer) gone 250+ days/ year working on oil/ gas projects. Coming home was my holiday. Come home and do nothing. Enjoy my family, community, and our garden. Really don’t need to Travel anywhere. Just keep it simple, have nice BBQ, beer, and enjoy the day. Keep up the good videos, enjoy them. ❤
I agree Steph! Time Limits on RV parks…I also think that Term Limits in Congress should be the rule! …etc. so how’s the relationship going? I think you two are great together…what say you?⛵️🇺🇸😎
You two are adorable together! Steph, we are a capitalist nation. It’s all about making money! Haha. Bobby’s comeback was great. Love you both so much. ❤️❤️❤️
Stephanie 1000% I’m in CA grew up camping and back packing. Today with my kids I definitely cannot just go “camping without a reservation” we have very small / limited windows of opportunity between school, sports and work. Add the 6+ months out to book anything now and that doesn’t work either.. We often don’t have our sports schedule that far out…. So today it’s easier to book an Airbnb than a camp spot👍 Even state campgrounds we see individuals book max allowed days then move three sites down under a different name for another max allowed days😳. Also in CA we have site scalpers they buy up sites using automated robo booking software then resell the sites for higher profits. Also I see people book up multiple sites when they can’t get their desired weekend then use multiple sites to trade for a single site etc. The whole thing is stupid👍 Give me a anchoring spot and no crowds any day👍 As for boats you guys really should look at the Elan GT series. They are built with more owner and sailing focus vs charter rental operations life. Different feel than the Beneteau.
Funny about RV parks. Snow birds flock to the south west depending on when things thaw out it could be 6 months. Many stay in the same parks or like in Vegas own their own spot. Mexico same scenario. There are some pretty large winter communities there.
Small towns are so much nicer than any big city! The people are friendlier and more honest! I grew up in the south Side of Chicago and left and will never move back!
Come on Wakeenee, KS is not the worst place you could be, but you can see it from there. Just a few miles west of Hays which is a larger town where you could get most anything you want.
KC represent! Great you saw Liberty Memorial WWI museum; the view from the top is nice. The jazz museum, plaza (especially Xmas lights), westport, and all the bbq (q39, gates, jacks stack), Kaufman center symphony, Nelson Atkins art museum, swope Park etc. I mean I left but not bad.
When you live in that kind of small town you save up your list of things you need then you drive 16-35 miles to a grocery store. When I lived out on a 1000-acre ranch we just drove to get what we needed. Sometimes, you would run out of butter and get a list of 7 hours' worth of errands to run for the entire family. I have driven sixteen miles one way, only to have to turn around and drive back the sixteen miles to then must drive to the next closest store that was thirty-five miles in the opposite direction because there was something wrong with the first store and couldn't stop there. Like it flooded out overnight.
Telluride is definitely a problem, logistically. I go to the Telluride Blues Festival every September and I end up having to stay at an RV park in Ridgway, 45 miles away.
Steph rvs can be used as a cabin getaway on the cheap if u buy a camper u need a gas guzzler to pull it around to explore as u are talking about u can travel with an rv anytime if u choose but sitting on a lake without high taxes etc has something to say for it
Burning Man looks like it went the way of other things something fun, easy and free to something that sort of resembles of what it used to be. I guess it couldn’t be helped with the popularity of it.
Hey Steph, Bobbi, you're too late !!!! We did all this RVing back in the 80's when the crowds were smaller.... No Probs getting to all those destinations on an as come in anytime basis.... Sorry, Best advice is to do it all now before you get to our age in the 70's 😍 Don't wait, enjoy life now !!! We love you both 💖 Loni & Al
You guys are such a good couple you look good together stuff fits you well love you guys to show watching it all the time wish I could afford to be up at patron but unfortunately I live on $800 a month I'm on social security and let me tell you it's it's hard to live on that every month but I wish I really could become a patron I would like a chance to come out and be on the boat with you and Steph that would be awesome would be like a dream come true the places you go the beaches you see oh my Lord I just fall in love with seeing that crystal clear water ever since I had a back surgery I can't even go hunting or sitting and fishing I can't sit for great lengths of time and have a hard time walking far distance the only time it feels decent is when I'm laying kind of flat with my legs up on a pillow behind my knees but I just wanted to say I really enjoy your show keep up the great work and have a blast and if you ever decide you want to take a handicap I'm not that bad of a handicap but I'm still handicap I would love to be flown out and go on a vacation with you never been on vacation 46 years old I don't know what one's like but anyways enough about me thanks for posting the video have a great evening
you did a podcast from Wakeeny! Why didn't you go to Oakley? LOL. I live in the Denver Area and have a cool old Volkswagen Eurovan. I can take you out locally to our state park to paddleboard if you are interested.
I enjoyed the podcast.. laughed out loud at times. But a couple times I was like Bobby, don't be so competitive with Steph. A guy can either have a great girl or they can be right.. can't have both. Exaggeration 'a bit' but you know what I mean. You don't need to pin her on things so much.
Hey Steph, I am a full-time RVer as my job keeps me traveling. And sometimes I am one of those long termers at RV parks. Just depends on the work assignment.
