I believe he will get what he deserves. It's not fair that he's able to still terrorize Shannans family and solicit the sympathy of sick woman but I truly believe in God and judgement day.
Glitter Girl he’s trying desperately to still be relevant but with time people will forget about him and move on, the visits will stop... then he will truly get his punishment.
I know it's disgraceful. Why is he allowed to have visitors for hours on end? He should be sitting in his cell all day with no human contact. He shouldn't be allowed to converse with people, apart from the prison officers. He is wicked and cruel, and deserves more punishment. Ridiculous.

Thank you for these videos over these last year. My mother is a covert narcissist and I’ve stopped giving her supply. She is so upset that I would hurt her, she calls wanting me to be angry, get mad or tell her she’s right. In all cases I’m neutral. I know (from you) that it doesn’t matter my reaction just as long as it’s extreme. You and a few other on YT and regular therapy sessions have pulled me into the light. My Mother is a covert narcissist...and we live together! It is so hard sometimes to be around her! I am all she has and I do everything for us but she is never satisfied!
You could tell in the jail interview he sounded impressed that they had to lock every one down in the Colorado jail when he had to go down the hall way, he enjoyed it!!!
I’m so happy you’re putting out these videos. After the latest, deeply disturbing turns of events-both of these books and the hand-written letter that was released-I felt a need to hear from you on it. I’ve long appreciated your care with the use of terms for Watts, along with your ongoing focus on people being educated and safe from these individuals. As a mental health professional I’ve been extremely curious about Watts’ behavior, considering what we’ve known about his history and how it tended not to fit with various diagnoses. But I think you are correct about how simple it is (as you said in your part 1 video). I believe we’re seeing some of the most manipulative behavior possible from Watts at this point. I feel we’re in dangerous territory with these books and with the voice he’s being given. I wish for safety and healing and peace for us all, especially those who have been directly impacted by individuals like this man. Thank you for your continued work on this. I really appreciate it.
I think.......and this is an afterthought.....that his anger over his conviction.....years in prison......is coming out in the information he gave this woman in the letters. He feels no remorse....strange, indeed.

It was very interesting what she figured out and had to say about Cindy Watts and Chris sister and how they tried to manipulate what she was going to write. She was very straight forward.
That closeup of his mugshot....his dead cold eyes, his hard stare, it’s REALLY frightening. That’s how I imagined he looked at Shanann as he strangled the life out of her. It’s difficult and terrifying to imagine what she was thinking those last moments of her life. He’s a living, breathing nightmare. I hope he’s killed in prison.
If my suspicion (and his track record) hold true, in the book he will never once just say, “I miss my children and cannot live with myself for doing this.” He is somewhat regretful but never REALLY seems to really grasp the reality of never seeing them again. If I entered ‘the dark side’ and committed what he did, God forbid, I would be utterly lost in a pit of despair so deep, basic functions of human living would be impossible. He is way too content.

I think this will go down as one of the most disturbing cases ever. It’s so insane how he went from a seemingly happy, normal family man.... to taking out his whole family. Just insane how evil can be lurking beneath the surface and just waiting to boil out.

I think that some of the rage he had for the children is that they had all that happy energy from Shannan , not him. Ad a child, he didn't know "happy", so these traits had to come from Shannan and the Rzucek's. He resented their joy, especially when he wasn't a part of it. He had no true feelings, he faked a lot, the kids ran to Shannan.

Nonetheless one can clearly hear my 3 year old daughter trying to calm the situation down as I’m not even answering to his crazy and manipulative monolog. We stayed in a hotel as we were attending a wedding. I tried to ignore his narcisstic behaviour and did my best to act normal in front of our child. Arguing - or even engaging in a conversation - was no choice for me as it always seems to encourage him even more. I could translate this proof of craziness for you. You can use it freely. I think CW is loving the notoriety he's getting. That's why he has written all the letters, and why he's he seems to be revelling in proving his mother is a liar. It's also interesting that he's trying to blame "spirits" as David Berkowitz (son of Sam) also blamed a "demon" living in his walls. David admitted later that it was all BS. I think CW is just playing another game.

This case, the more we find out,the more hideous it becomes, it’s baffling to me how he managed to keep that good Guy mask on for so long ,when there was so much cold rage bubbling so close to the surface.
Charlie Hunt I believe he was full of suppressed rage as a covert narcissist. I had to deal with several covert narcissists in the past (I completely avoid these types now that I recognize them) and they were very very angry and revengeful persons underneath their friendly and nice masks (I saw them slip). Even before the masks slipped there were small single events where these persons lost control over themselves for a split second and these events are one of the the warning signs we have to look out for. Live Abuse Free made a video on that topic too about Watts and explained how the rage developes in a child that becomes a covert narcissist as an adult and how this massive rage showed in his actions towards his family in the end.
The more I think about this case, the more strongly I suspect that Shanann was suffering serious, long-term emotional abuse from Chris Watts in silence, behind closed doors. Shanann valued her marriage highly, was loving, faithful and loyal, and was long in the habit of pandering to her husband's ego by telling the world on social media what a great guy he was. Hell, he only had to mow the lawn and she was posting a photo on Facebook with a gushing caption about what a perfect husband and father he was! I think Shanann stayed silent about the Herculean efforts she put into keeping her husband happy, his selfishness and mood swings. Only at the end of her life, when his contempt for her had escalated, did she confide in a few friends about his abuse and mind games. Her wifely ego-stroking worked for him for a while. But when his head was turned by another woman, his beautiful family fast lost their appeal to him. His eldest child was only 4 years old when he decided he was done with her, her little sister and their mother, and would literally destroy them. Shanann's mother Sandy witnessed Chris Watts' cruel indifference to her daughter and grandchildren when he joined them on that last family vacation a few weeks before the murders. Sandy was so concerned by the cruelty she saw CW direct at his pregnant wife and small children, that she asked Shanann not to return to the marital home but to remain with her and her dad Frank. Tragically Shanann declined the offer, saying she had to return home due to her husband's superior medical insurance. Going back to that house signed the death warrants for herself and her three babies. The pregnancy was likely Shanann's desperate attempt to save the marriage, which she had always worked far harder than him to keep afloat. I think many people have wrongly assumed that Chris Watts was not abusive to Shanann or the children before he murdered them all. I think that is preposterous. Abuse takes many forms and his passive-aggressive ways, eg the fact he made his wife take full responsibility for the family finances, hint at the misery she endured as he acted the doting husband and father but was actually a thoroughly selfish and self-serving passenger in their relationship.
glamdolly20 I agree with everything except the baby. He wanted another baby too but by the time Shannan became pregnant he changed his mind because he was seeing NK. When NK said she could give him a boy the baby was doomed.
I thought it couldn't possibly get any worse! We're sitting here listening to this, and both of us (step-daughter) and myself both have chills from him describing putting Cece in the oil. And the video is just getting started. Geez what a psycho! It's just amazing that he could be married all that time, play with his girls, seem like the greatest dad, good coworker, nice, helpful, etc., and all that time he felt NOTHING. Just DAMN! You may be right about genetics. I don't know that much about genetics and what can be passed down. I'll have to read up on that, as it sounds interesting.

The more I learn about this man, the less I want to know, as just when I thought it couldn't get any worse it does. Personally if I never heard his name again it would be too soon. Unfortunately, neither him nor his parents will ever let that happen. As I commented in your part 1 video he craves attention, almost as though he's starved for it. What I find most perplexing is that the author clarifies that out of his parents and sister (who are so busy at work trying to defend his character) only his dad has visited him once because of a scheduled work trip he had to take to the area where the prison is located. I think the whole family is quite deranged. I love your insight, truly thank you for all you do!!

I love these videos ! They are so insightful. I’m currently studying psychology and I just find this case so tragic. RIP to Shan’ann, Bella, Celeste and Niko. I remember following this case in real time and when I saw Chris’s “plea” I thought “oh my god, he killed them” because of how he refused to say their names and said “I just want those kids back”. It was chilling then, and it’s even more chilling NOW in hindsight with what we now know. Chris is a perfect example of what a narcissist/sociopath is like. It’s insane the amount of evidence in this case .
I wonder what he'd say if someone asked him that, in hindsight, whether he would do this again. I don't think he'd have much of an answer. I don't think he regrets it or feels remorseful. I think as an answer, he'd say something very simplistic or vague like, "Oh, no, I wouldn't do it again. I'd try to get a divorce," but I don't think he'd feel that. He'd just say it to try to conform to others' moral principles.

Elizabeth Elliott I remember when detectives interviewed him in prison, I think one asked something like, “why didn’t you get a divorce?” and he said, “I don’t know”. I think it was shortly after that he expressed regret and tried to pinpoint what could have done differently and it was something like, “I wish I could go back and stop myself, I’m trying to think of how I could have stopped this, and I think I would not go to the ball game, because I knew doing that was going to start something, that’s when the dark thoughts took over and there was no going back.” That was his answer to similar questions back then. It sounded like his resentment had been building for a long time before the ball game but he simply didn’t have the capacity to think he needed to take action. I say this because while answering he seemed very confused, as though he was grappling with something. I wondered whether he was realising his total absence of normal thoughts, or whether he was crafting an answer that took responsibility off himself and blamed the dark forces. I remember thinking, holy heck, he’s gotten this far in life by muddling through without even the ability for basic thoughts and when he is not being directed by someone, he doesn’t have a clue. But he did say he wouldn’t do it again, although who knows if he meant it. I wonder whether someone can experience regret but not remorse? (When you wish you’d studied psychology 😆)

It really shocks me that he’s so ill-informed that he thought a couple of doses of oxycodone would cause a miscarriage.. it’s a very devastating reality, but babies are born with prenatal exposure daily. And I can assure you, they were exposed to much more than one or two doses of an opiate - and aside from acute withdrawal symptoms, they are typically healthy babies overall.
I agree completely. My oldest daughter is an addict and she exposed all of my grandchildren by her to prenatal drug use. Thank God all my grandchildren are healthy and do not suffer effects from her prescription drug abuse
4:30 I used to think that maybe he killed the girls because he couldn't bare them to suffer loosing their mum but the fact that he is OK with them potentially drowning owning in oil just knocks that theory out of the window. It's just amazing that no one realised sooner that he had no love for those girls.
I truly can't understand the fact that, over years, CW put on an "act" of loving his daughters and wife, without real feeling being there. So, then, he "fooled" his wife, kids, friends, and in-laws by being a convincing actor, but really was a covert narcissist under it all? How is it possible there wasn't one iota of real love for the girls and his wife? The idea of "acting" in one's life, to such an extent, is alien to me. CW even had to Google what being in love feels like, and how to tell NK he "loved" her! It all is so baffling.
I agree. It is ludicrous to me that people post photos of their dinner and "selfies", as if strangers care about them that much. Hell, even family members and friends don't concern themselves with what that person has eaten or done that day! People seem to crave recognition and attention in strange ways since we have gotten more and more isolated as a society and families fall apart more and more.

But I really think you have analyzed his actions so well and help people understand how this can happen. Alot of us cannot wrap our mind around this awful tragedy.

It's kind of fascinating listening to Chris's interpretation of "Christianese". My father was a pastor and I attended Bible College and spent much of my teenage and early adult years doing ministry work, so I am well versed in the "language" of devout Christians. The way Chris speaks is overly flowery and almost medieval. It's something new believers do when they're on a "spiritual high" as we would call it. It's the same as when a small child is beginning to learn new words and incorporate them into regular speech, but they don't understand the meaning of the word well enough to use it properly, but they don't realize this yet. I had a friend a boss who was convicted of a crime years ago and spent about 3 years in prison. Very soon after entering, he began using this type of language as though he were a guru. He hadn't changed a bit, as he continued to make excuses for his behavior, but once these guys are told there's a God who will forgive them no matter what they've done and therefore no one will have the right to judge them for it anymore, they latch on to that idea fast and hard. The reality is that the only thing that's going to pass away like the wind is Chris's stories, as each time he tells one, it's changed quite a bit in comparison to the last time he told it. Needless to say, you're spot on as far as his "conversion". All Christianity has done for him is to give him a way to excuse his heinous acts and now be looked up to as a holy man, thereby giving him more supply.

The comment about dropping them in the oil to make sure they don't wake up sends chills right your spine and to think that kind of person could be your next door neighbor and you would never know it is just downright frightening.
Chris Watts isn't really that hard to understand, although these videos do a great job of pointing out the nuances of his behavior. He's difficult to accept. He had no significant bond with his children or his wife, he has no remorse, and merely chose the path of least resistance, which in his mind was murdering his family. He's a void. That's pretty much it.
I started a comment and then it got lost before I posted it. Here is a short version. It is very unfortunate that jailhouse religion affords Watts the opportunity to take his show on the road and symbolically wipe out the horrors of what he has done by making him a witness for Christ in all his insincerity. His victims have become just a part of his testimony. I almost grit my teeth when I think about it, it is so infuriating. I would like to tell him "NO! You are not forgiven!" He has no apparent understanding that he has destroyed real people with rich, unique personalities, the right to live, and unique futures! He should stop thinking he can be a chaplain and represent God. He should be put to hard labor and every cent he makes should go to the Rzuceks. He should have no privileges, no snack money, no contact with the outside world until he can demonstrate some insight into the horror he has caused. Right now he is skating on a cloud made of the imagined admiration he thinks people will have due to his supposed conversion. No one who has done such evil should expect to move on and become an admired servant of God or take on a role of a helper. This is so disgusting. Unfortunately some people will fall in line and think he is an example of God's redemption. The woman who wrote the book is one of them probably. But she said his eyes are dead. I don't think servants of God have dead eyes.
The sad thing about this whole affair, is that there are so many people like this who exist amongst us unnoticed for who and what they are. My hope is that people would pay more attention to who they allow in their lives. Narcissism is an epidemic which must be addressed and acknowledged. Thank you for educating so many of us! CW can’t handle a true, authentic loving women like Shannan. He was raised by a crazy mother, met a nice girl, Shannan and had a loving life then met a crazy women NK. The crazy is what he liked, it’s all he could resonate with. Shanann didn't deserve her death. But Do you know much about her? The early marriage when she would stay away for days, the trouble she would he in with the law re fines, driving, she wouldn't pay those bills either. Shanann suffered and her innocent children died. Should we use flowery words though all the time to say that Shanann was a saint? It isn't realistic. She was harmmoraging money that's a fact but the clothing and lifestyle kept flowing. It's great to be a striver but husbands used to go off to work and rely on wives to run a tight ship at home with the housekeeping money they relied on the wife to budget and to be resourceful. I th I k there needs to be NO judgements either way...just stick to FACT that is where the interest should be. I don't think we will know exactly why Chris watts killed in the way he did. But we don't need fact to guess he hated Shanann. I really dislike c8ndy I think she has some serious issues but the things that Chris hated Shanann for were what cindy t9ok a dislike about Shanann over. She couldn't eloquently expr3ss it but she was a way of the things Shanann wanted how she got them and would stop at nothing . The whole thing has everyone's heads reeling! It makes you doubt your ability to k ow people and judge people. Imagine if we didn't have access to all this info?

Finances are no excuse or explanation for murdering a pregnant woman and two children in brutal, premeditated attacks. I am so sick of hearing about the Watts family debt! Chris Watts was by his own admission hopeless with money - and he loved to spend it just as much as Shanann did, maybe more so because he's a narcissist and obsessed with his image. Did you see his bulging rail of brand new designer clothes? He once sold a truck at a loss, that he was still making finance payments on! He never consulted Shanann, just did it and landed them with an ongoing debt. That's how useless he was with cash - after that incident he agreed to let Shanann handle the family finances. He actually went much further - like a child, he insisted she take total control of their bank accounts. Do you think she enjoyed all that responsibility, or might she have preferred a supportive husband who behaved like a grown man and shared the burden of their joint finances with her? CW behaved like he was her spoiled brat son, not her husband! Chris Watts made Shanann leader because he was a narcissist and a passenger in life - he liked it that way. And in true passive-aggressive style, putting his wife in sole charge meant he could blame her for any problems that arose. And you'd better believe he did! I believe Chris Watts was always the boss and quietly pulling the strings behind closed doors in that marriage. All the time pretending to the outside world he was this gentle, passive husband and father - when the truth was very different, he was as manipulative and self-serving as hell! Many people wrongly assume Chris Watts was not abusive before he murdered his pregnant wife and two children, but that's nonsense. He was mentally and emotionally abusive throughout their relationship. He may not have hit her, but he certainly hurt her. And strong, supportive Shanann, who valued her marriage and family life so highly, fell over herself to keep him happy. She was loving, loyal and faithful, frequently praised him on social media tributes to a 'perfect husband and father' - she even carried a son she mistakenly thought he wanted. But the truth was he never loved her or her babies - and when he tired of playing 'family guy' he regarded them as disposable as an empty coke can. Shanann wasn't a saint - she doesn't have to be, she is not on trial and she did nothing wrong - except to have the misfortune to be duped into marriage and babies by a highly dangerous man.

It appeared to me, to be critical of Shanann. I suspect it will have seemed that way to others too. But if you are saying that was not in fact your intention, fair enough.

It's all about him, now and forever....like for any narcissist's whole Universe revolves around them. They are the heros and the victims...other people just objects to use and given to them fabricate their life stories.
It just so depraved I can barely listen to it, especially as a mother. I’m a widow to a wonderful man and it makes me never want to be in a relationship again and I’m still fairly young.
I guess you have to be very careful and whatever you do, don't rush into anything, and check every prospect out before you get too involved. Just some motherly advice from a mom of a boy who never listens but maybe you will.
Thank you for making these videos! One thought that comes to mind is that he doesn’t see the girls or Shannan as anything more than an object that happened TO him. This is how he sounds like he thinks: It’s as if he felt his children were his stalkers and harassers their whole lives and he couldn’t take it so he “had to” have a most understandable lash-out/temporary slip-up but is a good boy now and will abide by that necessary, intolerable task and bear that Cross of having borne off-spring (see him be a good-boy-now) and allow visitation from the Other Side. As burdensome as it may sound to us common folk, he is willing to host their tag-along visitations. (Vile) Also. My heart breaks for Shannan during the entire marriage because she. Lived. With. That. How many ways his skewed mind may have manifested... How interesting that this new version of the story comes out just in time for Halloween. Horrific descriptions that terrify so he is perpetrating upon all who hear him yet some more. His imposition of his so-called recollections is to reoffend upon all who read... wait. So he is Gaslighting us!!!!!! Really. So aaaaaalllllll that we think is real is not. We are crazy to not see it all his way. He will prescribe for us what the actual hell is going on in the world around us. Green is red and yellow equals purple and what was is not and what once wasn’t isn’t Is. yup.

I'm starting to see how cold and disconnected he really is now compared to the confused guy we saw on the news and interviews at the police station..and maybe he thinks he's found God or he has but it's hard to tell because he will only have God left to turn too i suppose so he could use that to give him self what he thinks is a new lease of life which shows maybe he's quite delusional on a whole new level.

@Bela McKenzie exactly. They should remove those photos. He had the nerve to say that he shouldn't be punished by having them removed...he takes great pleasure in reliving their deaths. Talking about Shanann's face and her mascara like that.
He's pure evil. So scary his description of what he did. I've been watching these videos try to wrap my mind around how this can happen but after this letter, I've realized that I'll never understand because he's just not a person.

This letter makes the crime much more worse than he said in the follow up conversation with the detectives. Being that he gets off lying, who’s to say this is the truth? It seems like he gets his narcissistic supply from making people cringe at telling what happened. I remember this author saying that in a phone conversation with him, he asked her if she would trust him to babysit her grandchildren. He could hear them in the background. He knew it would scare her, and it’s diabolical how evil he really is. I’ve listened to audio, watched videos and movies about this case. And it’s like an onion, the more layers you peel, the more it stinks.

It's really horrifying to understand, I never thought I would. It's really scary to know there are people like this in the world. Thank you for helping me understand, now what to do with this? just heard the first five chapters of her book. She is a liar just like Chris. Totally defends him and continues to blame his marrying Shannan as the reason her life is "horrible". All about her and how it affects her. Makes herself out to be the victim. Just like him.
When I was a little girl, I remember my God-fearing mother saying how alful it would be to be so sure when you die you are going to heaven and to end up in hell! I feel this is Chris Watts end.
I love your videos and I have to tell you the part here that is so valuable to me. I never understood why my narcissistic ex-h's behavior got worse and worse in our emotionally abusive marriage. I never understood why people said " It won't get better. It always gets worse". I want to listen again and again at the 8 minute mark where you explain the anger and the shame and how the anger increases as they project their shame onto the victim, and that is why the narcissists behavior is more mean (even though the victim is trying harder than ever to accommodate). It is so satisfying to hear you say why the situation becomes more dangerous (because it is so hard for me to make sense out of that). I heard a younger woman describing her abusive marriage today and it sounded like mine was. I want to let her know about this increasing anger and abuse...the vicious cycle. Thank you again for the immensely useful (and possibly lifesaving!) insight that you share in such a charming and rational way.

Thank you for your intelligent and very thoughtful explanations of this case and narcissim in general. I have been reading, watching, and listening to true crime stories for many years (since the Betty Broderick trial aired on court TV back in the 1990s) and have been fascinated by the psychology of perpetrators who seem to have it all but end up doing the unthinkable. Each story is horrific, but I have never been as sickened, disgusted, and distressed by any of such murderers as by Chris Watts. The latest "confession" is just so abhorrent. I guess we are just learning to much about this case and the details make it all the more appalling. I'm hoping you would be willing to do another mindfulness video to help get the terrible images out of my (and likely many other subscribers) mind. Many, many thanks for all you do.

I love your videos mostly because it is always refreshing to have a rational point of view. Other crime videos are sooo emotional driven it clouds their logical vision and their thoughts are v subjective. You bring a lot of common sense to this case and without outbursts and know how to remain calm. Personally I'm not emotionally attached to this case not to be confused with not caring. It breaks my heart knowing what his wife and children went through. I dont give cw the freedom to upset me though. He has a lot of power from prison and it shows by how most crime utubers are upset and emotionally charged. He wins and I won't give him that from me. I've already accepted unless the FBI or CIA is somehow still investigating this case, what cw says is all hogwash. Once his audience slows down there will be another and another. As long as people are still talking about him he will keep playing his game and feeling a lot of pleasure from how worked up most people are. Not me, his words are dead and meaningless to me so he cant ruffle my feathers. I see through him also. This
