Sir my teacher told us that Martin Carter was literally in prison and he wrote this poem to be sent outside but since the soldiers have to read the letter to avoid people knowing what actually happen Martina Carter wrote a poem instead since the soldiers won't understand it...great analysis as usual🇬🇾✨
🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 Sir I must say that you are such an EXCELLENT literature teacher. I am amazed by each and every single one of your lessons. Keep doing what you do best God bless you sir love from Jamaica
Sir, as always you have helped me understand yet another poem. Thank you❤. Aiming for a distinction in Literature next year. Much love from Saint Lucia 🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨
Out of all the analysts I found this is the only one that's actually really clear to understand I like how you gave just a little information on the background of the poet and poem and not just analisys. Thanks 👍
Keep up the good work u rlly helped me out today i am truly greatful u broke down the information like no other even better than my teacher i cam here completely lost and i am leving 10x more educated🇧🇧
Would you say that the tone of the poem change from hopeful in stanza 1&2 to being defended in stanza 3 ,as the time got worse referencing the 'dark night time ' ?
There are my notes on tone and mood for this poem: The poem’s mood is dark, gloomy, and even depressing. This is caused by the speaker’s tone of anxiety and apprehension. However, there is also a mood of anticipation provided by the speaker’s tone of militancy and cognizance. I think the speaker might be hopeful, but I wouldn't say he has a hopeful tone. I think from the very beginning the speaker is anxious because he is aware of his country's plight.
@@AdamWebbCSEC I actually like your work, my friends like to consider you as the modern day renaissance scroll bearer 🤣😂😂 , because of how you narrate . ''Man dem did you watch lord Webb's fable on African thunderstorm ", said the mandem. Furthermore, Great job we would humbly request an encapsulation of Ti-Jean and his tremendously stupid brother's please. P.s: You don't have to/if you choose to, we'll try to watch as many ads possible.
@@rottenguava4671 Haha! This comment really made my day. Happy to hear that the videos (even the narration style) are engaging. Thanks to you and your friends for watching! Sadly, I won't be tackling the prose aspect in time for your exam. I haven't read the novel 😅 However, I'll be dropping some useful essay-writing videos very soon for the poetry section. I hope that kinda makes up for it.
@@AdamWebbCSEC I Understand, much appreciated lord Webb IV 🤣 ! We are eager to extol your eclectic eloquence neither erroneously nor elusively but rather enthusiastically and beholden in a sense with regard to your upcoming content.
