@Andrew Smith It isn't that he has too much control, it's that he jealously guards what petty amounts of control that he has. He's totally unable to to relinquish it and be in the moment, for the absolute terror of being unable to get it back. It's why he can't dance, he's terrible at romance and he's completely incapable of change; he consistently shies away from any leap of faith and if he ever does take one, narratively he is punished for it.

@Andrew Smith have you watched this show? Mark is super manipulative and sneaky. Breaking her microwave so she will move in with him is a small example that comes to mind.

@@nytrox84 I think it's realistic. You're only seeing them from Mark and Jez's perspective. Atfirst they seem perfect, but over time, you see more of their personalities until they're fucking dreadful.

We were all disappointed when we realized Dobby wasn’t some self-hating, pathetic and wretched anti-social human being that we, I mean Mark, could actually fall in love with.

I found her ok at first but ended up skipping through any scenes she was in. Even her hair annoys me :0
