I wanted to say thank you for this video!!! I took my practical yesterday and this video gave me the confidence needed! i watched it a dozen of times and felt as thought i got more information here than i did taking the mock exam at my school.
I want to thank you so much, in helping me to pass my Missouri State Board for Esthetics..you were a life saver! I PASSED!!!😇I watched your video, about 30 times! Over and over...
This is so much easier than my state board. SC is making me retake my Theory and Practical even though I’ve already taken mine and passed in TN. I thought this was going to be harder than it was buuuuuuut it wasn’t. Thanks for the demo.
@@EstheticsEmpress yes please! I wont be able to test until after quarantine they suspended practical tests for the time being so I want to be ready right out of the gate I will be waiting patiently (:
This video is amazing SkyLee!! I am so happy that you made it! I shared it with a bunch of girls in my class too so that we can get a head start on how the exam is going to go. OX
Hi! The new ones almost done! The only difference is you do the whole facial in one step on one client and then breakdown and setup the 2nd client and do the wax, tweeze, makeup, lashes and microderm on a second client.
State board has decided to continue using this exam until January of 2021 so I will wait to upload the new video so no one gets confused or mislead! Thanks for watching!
@@arianneduffel6724 this is the older video. Do not use it in az or you will fail. The new one is posted on my channel. State Board is testing again yes :-)
I want to share my joy! I passed the practical exam positively! Thanks to our instructors Miss E and Miss R! I would like to pass the theoretical examination successfully, but so far I have failed ....
Лора Кризман you have to get the Milady book or you won’t pass you’ll have to retake the test many times but if you study that’s book which have the questions and answer you’ll be fine
Can you fail the practical by putting implements back into its original bag you got it from then disposing it? For example, I put all my make up bag in a plastic bag then put it in the items to be disinfected because it was so much! I thought it be easier to throw it out that way
No you should be fine. As long as you didnt put dirty items in with clean ones and then use later. Also, you only need a 75 to pass so I dont think that would hurt you too much.
And can you tell me about California law about it and is there a written test as well? And why it’s expensive to take classes? I’m trying to find my way to get a decent career in the future and comfortable with it as well. My last question is it worth it? Every clinics are different and usually doctors and other owners is very picky to hires anyone nowadays. Thank you for this video I’m going to keep watching it or maybe give me advice about it. I’ll search for other videos and see what actually I can learn before I sign for classes. I’m afraid little scared but Excited as well. 🙏🏽
Hi I'm not sure about California. This is for AZ. I do know up to the blood exposure procedure it's the same but after that I'm not sure. Classes are expensive because the people teaching them have spent a lot of money perfecting their skills and you'll make great money in the future. Nothing cheap is worth it.
You must have a passion for skin care. The license will open many doors and there are so many areas to find one that fits your personality 😉. Good luck. I'm going through school and changing careers. Can't wait to get my license.
Hi Skylee I was wondering if there was an email I could contact you on?? I just have a questions on some details in the practical as I am scheduled to take it in a couple weeks. This video was so helpful so your insight would be great!
@@sarahwatson338 the only change is that the facial is performed all as one step on one client and then the 2nd client is wax, makeup and microderm with lashes. Nothing new has been added thankfully.
Hello! Today I passed the same practical exam! The result will be sent by email in 5-8 business days. I have a question. I started the procedure without the command "can you start." Is this a big mistake? Maybe someone knows? I'm worried ..
If you have a cosmetology license in Arizona and want to switch to just esthetician do you have to do those 600 hours separately? And of you dont do you need to do test separately for the esthetician license?
Absolutely not. Your license covers esthetics completely. You may want to take some continued ed if you haven't but otherwise you can do everything an esthetician can
All states perform the first portion up until blood exposure step. The microderm and eyelashes are additional sections AZ opted to do and other states may opt to do as well.
Suryong Park I'm sorry I'm not sure what you're asking. I use hand sanitizer after every procedure which is required by state board but I dont use towels. It takes up too much space in the trash and is unnecessary.
I purchased the flat back head from amazon for around 14 dollars. I dont like the full round heads or the ones with the shoulders, theyre too difficult to work with. Here you go....www.amazon.com/LASHVIEW-Practice-Cosmetology-Mannequin-Eyelashes/dp/B01F78CZ0M/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1533351584&sr=8-2&keywords=flat+back+massage+head
I took mine today! I’m from AZ, anyone know the percentage you need to pass? I feel like I passed it, however, I messed up on a couple things, and I’m overthinking if I passed it or not 😭😭
