Hey, thank you for this video it's been very informative for me. I’ve graduated school about 2 years ago and I’ll be taking my exam in 2 weeks! I’ve noticed the instructions said after removing the treatment mask you apply daytime protection. Do I use SPF only or a moisturizer with SPF?

Oh wow! The procedures are different in NYC. We have to make our own cotton rounds and mummy mask the night before. Thanks for sharing

Im watching this just in case. Im in Chicago and Im taking the state board here since this is where Im in school. But I may move to NYC in a couple years and idk if they’ll make me test there as well when its time to transfer my license. I heard that the practical is no longer needed now (at least in Illinois) but idk if it is still a thing or not in other states. So just in case, thats why Im here.

Hello. Did you need to clean the mag lamp? Also were you not required to discard the cotton from extraction into a bio bag to seal and dispose?

Hi Kristen, Thank you for this video, it is super helpful! I am preparing to take my practical this Friday in NYC. My instructors told us we had to use cotton to do a mummy mask over top. I see that you just applied your mask and removed it accordingly. Has the mummy been removed from the exam?

i went to school in rochester where they held the practical state board my teacher was one of the state board instructors and they all said the face shield is no longer required just a mask.

U do need 2 clean bins...one labeled clean and one labeled dirty

Can you please tell me when you took your state board exam if it was virtual or not many states are offering virtual testing?? I'm in Michigan and it's supposed to start in November and I can't wait so that we don't have to go to a testing location you can take it in the privacy of your own home. Have you thought about going back to get your instructors license and if not why?? Since it is student loan forgiveness I strongly suggest that you go forward

Do you reuse your premoistened cotton pads? Where on the SMA do you keep them?

Hi would you say the bed at the state board was a standard bed sheet size?

Did you made the cotton 2x2 and 4x4? Or you bought them made?

My instructor told us to use extraction tools instead of fingers. She also said we need to make our own cotton pads and not use store bought. I'm so confused.

When you was doing the extraction part did they come around and ask you about the skin type or if the skin had any issues?

She did no skin analysis hydration ? Conditions, type, elasticity, thickness, texture, sensitivity? They will ask you and that’s a huge part to leave out.

How do you get your practical exam results? I took my Exam in October and I still have not received test results...

Did you have nail tips on during your test? I read that you can't even have polish on.

Do you recommend taking the practical or written exam first?

I give u props girl but I'm wondering why when you are simulating your waxing, you are not holding the "skin" taught..that's very important and they can deduct points for that.

This helped a lot I graduate in February. How come you didn’t put gloves on when you put the toner and powder on face for waxing and when cleansing the face? Is it not required?
