I mean, real slaves in history sang for similar reasons. It reminded them of home. And, not that it actually worked, was directed towards the oppressor to show them your humanity. It literally was an argument. It just looks absolutely jacked here because the acting/directing not good
That weirdly deep and creepy "This is how we heal" followed by the uncomfortable groaning eating noises was like something straight out of a MeatCanyon video.
This game puts you into a quantum superposition whereby you were in the cryochamber for 8, 15, and 16 years simultaneously until a clock is directly observed
Truly, this is why we should let Kojima make more games. Kojima would make you feel like you were in the cryo chamber for 7, 8, 15, and 16 years, while also making you be in the chamber for the entire runtime of the game
at least you get to see their face and outfit every time you press the start button like oblivion. also, there is a photo mode for capturing your navi self in the wilds of pandora so you gotta look swag for the blue selfies obv
Who knew spoons could pack such a punch. Was anyone else dizzy with the calendar gymnastics? 8, 15 or 16 years... time sure is tricky in this Avatar world!
Perhaps different characters reference years differently based upon which planet they're from. Humans probably use earth years if they are originally from earth but different orbits around different planets makes various measures of a year. Or its like dog years.
@@Largentina. So you expect to see hologram ads of this game in the sky or flying billboards in order to measure how relevant and memorable this game is?
"You can't tell me that's not that. Whatever that is, that's what it is. You can't tell me otherwise." These words of wisdom will push humanity even further!
Far Cry 3 was good, had interesting characters with a good story and fun gameplay. This game feels soulless, it’s almost as if it was made by A.I…. were people even involved in this?
I’m so glad that this game cured the depression of all those people who have been big sad ever since the first movie came out and they couldn’t actually live in Smurf Village. 🙌 THANK YOU OOBYSOFT!!! 🙏😭
@Omniblissed i just went back and watched his Halo 1 recap. His comedy has definitely evolved over 11yrs, that old one was hard to watch to put it nicely, but his new stuff is funny.
The way he enjoyed the jungle graphics and physics reminded me of how it felt to play Crysis for the first time and be amazed by the jiggly leaves A lot of things here oddly remind me of Crysis
An absolute masterclass in cinema, the powerful portrayals of multiple characters by Videogamedunkey are what makes this a must-see experience this holiday season. As a viewer, "This is bullshit, I want dinner!" is the moment I was sold on the rage of the protagonist - any actor worth their salt could turn in a captivating, if formulaic performance there, but Dunkey goes beyond merely performing, he makes it real. It IS bullshit, and he wants his dinner.
@@fbi3797yeah the hero guide is actually very detailed and explains each and every enemies weak spots. I’ve been seriously enjoying this game and feels fresh compared to the buggy releases we got this year and the last couple years. Got it in Ubisoft + but might actually buy it.
Much like these little blue fellas, whenever I'm in a tense situation I try to disarm my assailants by singing the traditional song of my people (a wildly inebriated rendition of Sweet Caroline)
There have been multiple reports of shark fishermen cutting off the fins and then throwing the sharks back into the ocean, still alive. Because that's more efficient and the customers are only interested in the fins. If that's not 'cartoonishly' mean I don't know what is.
@@Renoistic Not its not. And you explained why it is not in your own comment. "Because that's more efficient and the customers are only interested in the fins." That is psycopathicly ruthless but, they are not trying to be mean they just don't care. Consider the real world material conditions that might drive someone to do those things. In avatar its just mean bad guys are mean and bad for no reason. Besides doing cruel things because its more efficient is exactly what happens in nature. The naritive of man bad nature good is inherently dumb.
I dunno, man, I once saw a documentary about a nature reserve in Africa (i wish I could remember specifically where) and the white people in it literally spoke exactly like the villains in Avatar. Maybe racism is just cartoonish.
They were so dedicated to graphics they just popped a few trees into unreal and scanned some kindergarten arts and crafts clay molds of blue people as character models. If we can't have good graphics, we'll have a lot of it damn it!
Love when a billion dollar corporation makes a "corporation bad" product based on a middling intellectual property owned by another corporation. Also love when it undoubtedly cost $300m to make but looks like a 7th gen game maxed out on a PC.
"That's ray graphics. You can't me that's not that. Whatever that is, that's what it is" Dunkey understands the gaming community on a SPIRITUAL level 😂
Also the part where the gaming community all simultaneously demand that some game have that shiny new tech... and then ten years later realize that tech actually made the game look worse and they want it disabled.
Bruh when the prison guard said "Stop singing" and the avatars were like "no why, we need to sing our avatar song" and he was like "because singing killed my grandma!" that was crazy
To be fair, that's probably one of the biggest things that open world games consistently lack. Stuff to actually interact with in the goddamned massive, empty world.
@@kamikeserpentail3778 There was a time when physics were being touted as the next big thing in gaming. Back in like the Red Faction era everything was becoming destructible environments, things you can move and throw at enemies, all kinds of shit. Then graphics improved and devs just decided to focus on that I guess. Everything looks pretty as hell now but it's all very static. It's kind of lame.
@@Miller_Time Lots of people are getting tired of open world games. It's not that they are inherently bad, but there seems to be a trend of developers making just every title they can "open world" and the world will be big, open, but with not much to do in it. Or, the things you can do are just collection quests, fetch quests, etc...
Recently watched the first Avatar again and it is honestly ridiculous how easily the mechs and aircraft are taken out in this game. It would be so much more intense and thrilling if each time you encountered a mech, at least early on, that you had to be strategic and extremely cautious when facing one or risk barely coming out alive. The aircraft should’ve only been destructible once you got your bird.
Default difficulty is definitely way too player-sided, but it’s important to note there are like a dozen different variations of mechs with a wide array of protection on them. If you’re not careful encountering an AMP Commando then you’re probably in deep trouble Granted dying in this game has zero consequences at all
You have to edit the .ini file before launching the game for it to be fun, which is how you know it's a good modern game. Unfortunately you can only do this on PC
@@MrGrimlocke When he likes a game, he makes a video which just shows him enjoying the game and its mechanics. It's also a dead giveaway if he makes multiple videos about the game. Metal Gear Solid 5, Mario Odyssey and TotK come to mind
@moonlightact1792 in that game you can tell he's having fun with it instead of having fun at it. Like all the jokes in this video was dunkey taunting the game
I love how this franchise writes the humans to be almost comically evil and there are still lots of people who side with them. Even got the CEO getting beaten by the power of song and saying shit like, "stop singing!" lmfao.
Avatar 1 just really hates white people Avatar 2 asks you to root for the most at fault, unlikable protagonist I've ever seen in my life. Yeah, humanity starts being in the right at a certain point
thats what happens when game companies realized they could make a game with no soul or love and still get millions from it. 2000s were the best time for gamers change my mind
@@Ronbotnik It's just been constant slop after slop being thrown on the market and the fact that so many people STILL buy it just actually kills me. Game companies actually still make bank from these idiots that fall for it. I'm going back to old games and have for the last couple months. if anything, i hardly even play now its all just SLOP
Facts lol. But gotta hand it to them to release a polished game with a lot of care put into its core of nature portrayal and being true to its source. It's a really good game. Not crazy amazing, just basically what I always wished for in a Far Cry game. And, funnily enough, what I wished for in Halo Infinite. Wildlife, a world that seems absolutely alive. Good on them. My girlfriend will love it.
@@njux1871 Haven't played it, but from what others are saying, its a good game, just a safe one. It's not trying anything new, which leads to people saying it's forgettable.
@@moonasha nah ive played plenty of games. the game is great. it does enough new things and the options of traversal in the game world are actually quite amazing dont just sheeple repeat what others are saying.
I swear James Cameron accepted a monkeys paw deal where a genie agreed to grant his wish that he would have one of the highest grossing franchises of all time with the caveat being that nobody will ever remember it or think about it ever again
Of all the innovative paths they could have taken, they opted for a reheating a 15-year-old soup FPS. It's like using an ancient recipe in a modern kitchen.
