Only suckers would pay Morel retail prices. They make fantastic Silk dome tweeters, especially for high power applications where sound quality is still a priority.
@@Phuong_Nguyen_ My best friend growing up was a Nguyen. How much real rms power is your amp/s putting out? How much are you willing to spend?? I’m a big fan of Morel but I’d never pay retail unless your rich. If I was rich I’d buy everything from Crutchfield for the warranty & service. I’d check reputed sellers on eBay.
Hey! Thanks for sharing info and research with us all. Much appreciated. Buut! Isnt it possible to use the default place for replacing amp/dsp?! Looks like plenty of space there if swapping out the original. Instead of using the fronts limited space. Hope you can reply 😭 Thanks.
If you had a small enough amp you could definitely put it in the stock location. I used the front because I wanted easier access and I thought it would be cool to see it.
Hey so no update on the sound quality? I am having my Ultimae get a new head unit as its just not working and thinking of just throwing all that stock crap away even though I did spend that 4K SMDH!
I ended up selling my SVJ. I do have a Huracan that I'll do some upgrades in. The Ultimae has the same setup as the SVJ- you can have a good system with the stock head unit. Feel free to hit me up with any questions.
@@TheStockpile thanks so so much for sharing info once again❣. How is the bass like now -- Are you satisfied anyway even if you skipped it? Thinking of doing the same. Barely any space and won't look clean to have it between seats, hmmm.
Nothing against the installer but you would think that Morel would use better quality connectors than those crappy push on blade terminals! If I am paying that kind of money I would at least want a proper connector! Come on Morel!
The *final* build (with the sub and sub amp) will probably be sometime next year (2021). In the meantime the tweeters, mids and 6 channel amp are all installed and have been fantastic.
@@TheStockpile what questions should be asked prior to assigning a shop to work on Huracan Evo? “Does it sound good” is sufficient for an accord, I want to know exactly what you would be asking as a consumer to ensure the quality is top tier, wiring, they don’t fuck up the computer system, etc. Please advise from a consumer POV with your in depth installer knowledge.
@@jimmymcgill5572 Sorry, I missed this comment. This is a tough question and generally why I work on the installs with the shops or do the installs myself. IMO the best thing to do is ask for references for work they have done on the same car you have.
Problem is space, low power of other amps at 6 channels, efficiency, power consumption, plus built in DSP. You could go with Helix ultra, a bunch of Mosconi Amps, but it will take a lot more space and drain more power. An alternator in this car is a fortune and you don’t want to drain it. So I can see why he went with this route. Maybe in the future, amp companies will produce more power along with more channels, along with being efficient for being AB amp. Not a lot of choices out there for all in one amp with 6 plus channels with over 125 watts Each channel. If so, name them. All in one DSP/Amp with 125 watts channel. AB too.
