In this interview with Goatlike Personality, JT learns a different perspective on racism in European countries and it has nothing to do with the color of your skin. During the discussion, Goatlike talks about why he could have been a PIMO for life, if the brothers would have only helped his wife to appreciate that Jehovah loves a cheerful giver.
As a fourth generation Jehovah's Witness, the only thing Goatlike feared growing up was being a member of the Bethel family. After taking many trips to Bethel throughout his childhood, his mother kept saying that you should always do what the Watchtower wants. Of course, he knew exactly what that meant.
Goatlike speaks his truth about the Watchtower and how knowing something about science and geology can help dispel many myths about the Bible. As humans, we have many pieces to the puzzle at our fingertips, but we are too afraid to place them in their respective place. All you have to do is be willing to look at the facts. When Goatlike began examining the animal kingdom and Noah's ark, he looked at the situation with the kangaroo and realized that he wasted a decade of his life.
If only Jehovah's Witnesses can talk opening, Goatlike believes that the religion will crumble over night.

Paul and Polly say, That was an absolutely beautiful interview. Very heartfelt and heart wrenching. We have utmost respect for how Jonas stood up for what was right despite the challenges he faced. The elders/shepherds that he dealt with should be absolutely and utterly ashamed for their lack of love and empathy. We truly are so sorry for your pain and abuse!! We too, like many were in a congregation with a particularly abusive elder who was Dutch, and although we have many friends that are Dutch and lovely people HE had a particular saying he would often use. If you aint Dutch, you aint much. The abuse goes deep in this organization in so manly different ways. We love Goatlike personality humor and website and it has offered much encouragement to many

My favourite GOAT 🐐 from Sweden 🇸🇪 living in Norway 🇳🇴, being interviewed by my favourite channel in America 🇺🇸on critical thinking 💭 regarding the organisation in the USA. I really hated the classification of “worldly people “… It’s funny when we try to do more and learn a foreign language can wake someone 🆙 When you’re in need of help that’s when they drag people down and label them as spiritually weak when they maybe in mental or physical turmoil. It’s heartbreaking 💔 to watch broken people are left feeling less than in a time of need. Thanks for sharing Goatlike ❣️

I had missed making the 90 hours by 2-3 hours for past 3 months. I was in tears because they really got onto me...Now, I think back, and should have just lied about my time.

All of what you said are reasons why I woke up. I had a friend who had been a pioneer for many years that faded i knew she left the cult and was living a normal life celebrating holidays and had a boyfriend she was living with but I still remained her friend. We had been best friends and that didn’t change between us. So when I told some JWs that I was visiting her they told me I shouldn’t and I needed to becareful. I mentioned to them the scripture that said Jehovah doesn’t forget the good things that you’ve done for him and his name. And I said so are you telling me that Jehovah has forgotten all the many years of pioneering and all the loyal years that she had given him? Blank looks is what I got. I just knew something was wrong with being told who I can be friends with and who I can’t. I’m a grown woman and unless you are paying my bills you don’t have any rights telling me what to do.

The elders said it was to "punish" me for leaving that my JW daughter and Parents and siblings are not to talk to me, and deny me me a fathers right to walk my daughter down the aisle at her wedding or celebrate with them at the reception. I though what right / power do they have to punish us except that which we give them (and which our family members continue to follow :( ) I personally will give them no power over me or be told what to do by them.

Great interview. Jonas always drops knowledge. It was interesting to hear how other ethnic groups in slavic nations view one another. Jonas brought this out in his video about working in the Russian branch of the society. It's crazy how the society was able to enslave all of us with their false teachings even with the differences.

I think I figured out why I like you so much Jonas. I was very sick and I could have died also. But when elders told me to do more I did not listen, I put my health first. I am still sick, but not as bad as long I take care of myself and see my doctors. I was mistreated by elders and C.O.s also (three of them, one was nice but he was playing "good cop" and reported back to WT for the next nasty C.O.) for not doing enough, but my husband has excused it. He is not a bad man, but he is blinded by the dogma. You are a good man, and I am so glad you found your current wife. I want to say bless you both, but in a secular way. ❤️, GBL

The story of them pushing Goatlike Personality’s wife to do service while she was sick is relatable. My mother and I both got covid and they tried to push me to do service when I had 103 degree fever. I quit within 24 hours.

To a lesser degree I know a lot of people throughout covid who have paused or decreased the amount of online meetings they're joining and they are getting shepherding calls. The organisation has a one track mind and no empathy towards those struggling in other areas of life

Love how you woke up with the kangaroos it is 💯 right . Thanks for informing us. Love your channels. I am disassociated since 2020. In my letter I did not use 1 scripture. I ask them not to come to my door because I would not open it. Also told them that I would not attend a judicial meeting because I did nothing wrong. I got in trouble for telling a sister about the Child Sexual Abuse problems that Watchtower is having.

In 2019 I publicly during a watchtower study commented that elders do not report child abuse and also do not report it to authorities when it is mandatory. Right after the meeting 2 pitbull elders „catchend“ me to go to the backroom….. I am still in because of my son…..I am living a lie.

Great interview! Love both your Chanels. Love the comment on the Ahha moment and the JW shelf. Racism is strong in the Spanish congregations between the different geographic areas : Mexican, El Salvadorian, Peurto Rico, Venezuelan, Cuban, etc. I remember the brothers constantly giving talks about treating each other as equals and not showing partiality. It was a shock when I switch for the English in Spanish and realize this was an issue when in the English congregation, it was more of the black /white contrast.

He made such a good point in regards to race and how it’s viewed in different places and countries. Being in a foreign language, congregation, you get that a lot. For example, I remember looking at articles in English with multicolor faces and switching it to an African language, or a creole language and seeing a black face.

I can’t thank you enough for this. At 30:24 I broke down in tears. Im very bad at getting my point across and what was discussed about race here is 100% what I’ve been trying to say since the late 70s. White people are not one block people the divisions are many and this was described perfectly here. We need more JT and Goatlike people out here. I waited my whole life for this paradise to come. I found it with both of your channels.

I am so sorry for what Jonah went through, but at least his ex wife is still alive and they didn't actually kill her. I can't imagine the emotional trauma he went through when she picked an organization over her own husband. That is so sad, but proves the depth of control they have over their member's minds. We have to remember how brainwashed we once were too. There are many JW's that are so deeply and emotionally bound to the organization, even if Jesus himself appeared to them and told them to get out, they would not! For some waking up would be so traumatic they couldn't handle it. Waking up is like going through a personal Armageddon. For some, it's best and easier for them to stay indoctrinated than to face the truth. The cult truly does break up families.

But for real, I was raised as a JW, and the best thing they taught me was not to be racist, so I grew up in a super racist rural area in the US, and I really didn’t realize it until recently because the community I really lived in (the congregation) was very NOT racist. It’s probably the only true thing they taught me.

I just happened across this channel. As an ex-JW I admit my story, even compared to many of the ones I've watched would be one of true cruelty. Not by one person against me, or even a few doing to me, but an entire Congregation (albeit a bit unintentionally) punishing me over something that I had not even done, while I was grieving and feeling completely lost. They absolutely left me out to dry, essentially abuse by neglect, and thus eventually led to me leaving. I admit, makes me glad I found this, and I wish this sorta support existed back in the bygone days when I left. But tis better late than never as well. I'd say more but I'd rather not get into too many details right now.

The rank and file are like sheep as they never openly question the elders or the GB. I asked a JW who runs the zoom meetings "what is the procedure if one of the congregants disagrees with what is being said, can they challenge the speaker." Response. " No, why would they do that?" They are the Eloi and the GB are the Morlocks.

Yes Zimbabweans and South Africans are neighbours but we can identify each other, so are the Namibians,Zambians, Angolans, Mozambicans and Malawians, really do not look alike, and this is just in the Southern African region of the continent.

Goaltlike personality when we talks about having ugly people in the magazine, reminds me of a question I asked when I was still a JW. There was an elder who was obvously to anyone not looking good facially, that was not due to injury or sickness, he was just naturally like that. My question was that this elder was going to be made handsome. Brothers were very angry with me and the reason was that it did not matter what race of nationality depicted in the books and magazines of the Watchtower, everyone looked so handsome or beautiful, so I serously thought that what we view as ugliness was something that God will fix.😂😂😂😂

I remember when studying some young people in the congregation (14 years ago) even told me that the literature was from the perspective of the US and that with some things it didn't fit the way things went here. Especially with going to further your education it was completely off. Most people did get an education back then. It was deemed normal to at least have some kind of middle education. Maybe not anymore now with the huge push against education these past years.

I like what goatlike personality said about the Organization using the one drop rule to classify races. In Africa for example, we may all look the same to Americans, but we are not. Just by looking at our ourselves, we know those who are west Africans, South, East or North Africans. Of course the American organization doesn't know this. And like goatlike personality said, even in Nigeria alone there's a lot of discrimination (prejudice/tribalism) among the people that come from Nigeria alone. Over here we are divided by phenotypical features, region and language. And just looking at ourselves without even exchanging a word, we know the difference. Again, imagine Americans telling us in West Africa (Nigeria) where the economy is really bad, not to go to university. That is the height of living in a bubble.

He's absolutely right about the narrow, American perspective of Watchtower. And it's true that tribalism exists in most parts of Africa more than racism in the American sense.
