EXJW Interview Jehovah's Witnesses Break Up Families 

January 2018 is when I woke up. Fast forward 3 years later - lost my job, lost my home, lost my marriage and lost my family. But being out of that bat s**t crazy organization, it was well worth it. This is just a momentary set back for me and I assure you that I will not only survive but thrive.

No one should be allowed to question underage minors without the parents being present, period! Great interview that exposes practices that are harmful to individuals and families.

And that's why I never went to their stupid judicial hearing. Three foolish men grilling me would have provoked my expelling the contents of my stomach there and then.

For hurting and not protecting children, the watchtower will end up with a milestone around its neck and drown in their Warwick lake.

My greatest regret is answering the invasive questions asked during my judicial. It was embarrassing and I’m still traumatized from it. Answering those type questions before three men is humiliating. I was pregnant at the time so none of those questions were necessary to determine if the sin happened or to determine whether or not I was repentant.

No matter what age can person gets baptized, they should be able to leave the organization without repercussions...and certainly not lose their family...🤔☹️

I do not understand why the JW stick so stubbornly to the 2 witnesses rules, when the Bible itself states in Deut. 22:25-28 in a case of rape the 2 witnesses rule is not required.

Thanks for this Video. What happened in this Video is mostly like mine too. My Wife left some months b4 me telling me all what she founded about JW Organization and me as an Elder in a German Congregation here in Germany was not happy about all what she is telling me about JW in Australia and many bad behaviors in England and US. At last I left myself 3months after leaving the Organisation after many Researches. I am happy today that I listened to my Wife. I will never let anyone I know or my relatives accepts JW to their Houses. On our door Bell is posted as we left "Jehova Witnesses are not welcomed".

I disassociated from the Watchtower after having been a JW for 17 years. After some time, I started studying the early Church history, the Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church. I don't say this to diminish the Catholic Church but the deep Orthodox service and prayers filled my heart with a sense of completeness. What I found regarding the penance as compared to the Watchtower's judicial is that the priest, sitting alone, reminds you before you start your confession that you do not confess before him but before the Christ. And the priest DOES NOT ask intrusive questions so as to "HELP" or force you to confess. You confess to the extent you feel what you have done stands between you and the Christ and prevents you from being a part of Him. JW elders, to the contrary, are like medieval inquisitors or Nazi SS officers.

I really appreciate that she acknowledged that children and teenagers not get baptized and I will tell you out of experience that doing so is so extremely harmful. I wish I had known at ten what I know as an adult because like her daughter I showed interest and it was pushed on my parents, my dad mostly was the one saying hey maybe wait a while ect but mom was totally pushing for me to go ahead and me being me I was very much wanting for everyone to love me and be proud of me and it was the beginning of the end for my faith but I would not realize this until years later. At 18 I messed up, according to the organization rules, I told on myself due to the extreme guilt and shame I felt and told the day after I fd up. The questions they ask are disgusting, they ask these very inappropriate questions that no women, much less an 18 year old teenager should have to answer to three grown men. It honestly made me feel like I was freaking assaulted I felt gross and anxious and like I couldn't breath when I left that back room. I had nobody to back me up or say hey this is too far, stop asking such inappropriate things of a teenager. I was dfd for a vendetta the elder had against me and the fact I would not answer personal questions about my family and not for what I had done or for not being sorry enough. He flat out told me this after pulling me aside from the other two elders. I did move away and got reinstated a year later because I had nobody and being suddenly completely alone was horrific I couldn't bear it and got back in but then their rules on blood killed my dad and at 24 years old I could no longer justify the wishy washy teachings and I left after his funeral.

There needs to be an outcry against Watchtower about this disfellowship non-sense! I never practiced it, even when I used to be one; cause it didn't make sense.

I have just recently uploaded my testimony in 4 parts. Aren't we all vulnerable when we come from a dysfunctional family or youth of some kind at the beginning! We can be so collected and intellectual, yet still fall into this so easily. You seem really intelligent and a real thinker. Thank God you woke up and you are so brave.

My wife's family don't talk to me anymore because i stopped going to the meetings. I consider myself lucky they don't talk to me anymore. They were boring and self righteous and some of them were not witnesses at all they were just going threw the motions so they could have a social life and a partner which they probably wouldn't have in the world. PS some of them are good people as well'

Vicky triggered a memory from many years ago, I was a fanatical fully indoctrinated JW, and I got to know about the baptised daughter of a 'super elder' who was 'living in sin', and there was absolutely no question about this. I therefore determined to see her privately and 'go lay bare her fault' and all that stuff, but I sought advice from an elder before going, he promised faithfully not to say a word to anyone about the matter until I had spoken to the young girl in question. He lied of course, elders love all this juicy stuff and just have to blab. So next meeting I was accosted in the car park by the aforesaid 'super elder' who told me how wrong I was, it was 'all just a misunderstanding', and it was 'sorted out'.....yeah, 2 months later she was disfellowshipped. Poor girl shunned and rejected and never returned, 'super elder' now dead. Oh God I hope I didn't ruin her life, I wish I could meet her again and give her a hug and apologise.

This is an incredible experience and journey for her and her family. For those of us hoping and wishing our family members will wake up, even though it seems impossible, this is encouraging. Despite some serious trauma and even though they made missteps by trusting that cult, they are a family. I’m sure they are still healing, but they survived. The elders view disfellowshipping as "discipline" when in reality it's "punishment". It would be like the elders of Israel stoning someone to death and calling it discipline. It's a cruel and heartless procedure, a process any Christian would be ashamed to be a party to.

May God, the God of all destroy this evil cult which takes people captive away from HIm; may He open the eyes of those watchtower's witnesses who are blind and don't see the truth of their false religion

I got baptized at 11. I had no idea what I was getting into. I just knew that within 2 years we'd be in the new world because I wasn't supposed to graduate from the 8th grade. My son is now in the 8th grade

I had a really traumatizing experience with the elders after being raped. I left after that and never went back. They are so unqualified and unloving.

Oh geez ger daughters story sounds like my story- same type of situation and not sure what my "charge" was.

The funny part is, they WILL be forced to change their asinine 2 witness bs rule.

My feeling is my life is my personal business. I owe no man an explanation about what I do and don't do. I would have told them that and probably would have gotten disfellowshipped just because of my attitude...lol! I was always off and on inactive anyway. Now I know why. I remember how I and so many of my teenage friends grew up having a great time going to meetings and out in the ministry and hanging out on the weekends and all of that. Then, as we approached 18 or 19, we found ourselves doing the things guy and girl teens do ...you know ... and I'll add that none of us really went "all the way", just being young. But, as is always the case, our "having fun" caught the attention of one or two elders and so we all know what came next.."The War Against Teens". It seemed like EVERY SINGLE MEETING turned into Judicial hearings for us...All the intimate questions. And let me say for the record, since we were not worldly, we didn't do like worldly kids...just dive into badness and as an "insider" myself, I know we were doing very little and it didn't rise to the level or all of the brutal harassment we endured. Elders would LITERALLY scour the neighborhoods at night looking for us. On more than one occasion, me and my best friend would be just hanging out on a warm summer night and there would be a van with elders inside would pull up and one would yell, "Get in the Van!" And, of course...being trained to be sheeplike we did (later in live you end up beating yourself up for being so timid and obedient and the uninteded consequence in life is you grow up with this inward boiling rage that lies just under the surface). But, it gets better... One evening, me my guy friend and a sister were going out to eat some pizza and at the second, he bailed and it was just me and the sister. COMPLETELY innocent... we cracked jokes, talked about music and had a ball. The next day, she shared our fun evening with a sister, who shared it with her elder husband. So, next meeting I was bumrushed and there was an immediate Judicial hearing. They said, "Tell the Truth, you were trying to Prey on our innocent sister!!" I was floored because I told them nothing happened....she was brought in and said nothing happened and the Result? I was labeled as a Lying Snake and "Rock hidden below waters and was disfellowshipped.. Period, case closed. But, here is something even worse than that, I can't even count the number of friends of mine did a little touching and they were "forced" into marriage with some person who could not have been a worse match because in some cases the person may have been a Worldly witness but in order to keep "the congregation clean" some of us married people who were abusive and there was one brother who married some young lady who had made three meetings and suddenly, since the two of them "got into trouble", she was marriage-material. I can't tell you the anguish that brother suffered because she was from a Severely Disfunctional background and she would have episodes where she lied and got him arrested and a day later she was in tears apologizing only to repeat the same behavior. In the end, this brother ended up doing 2 years in prison for things she set him up to take the fall for and, of course, his wife was beside herself in grief...one minute and calling him in prison and cursing him out the next. End the end, he ended being the one who needed counseling because....You Guessed it, the elders would tell him, "Brother, there is no problem too big for your heavenly father to fix. Your wife says she wants to work it out, so the body of elders feels you should stay married and look inward to see what YOU are doing to make your wife keep having these episodes". What do you say to that?!!

I am some what educated in the law. When I went to my judicial meeting the elders asked me dozens of questions. Very personnel I might add. How ever I was a 65 year old man at the time, Had I done anything wrong ? Yes I had, in their eyes . Did I answer their question ? No No ! All I said to every question they asked me was "NO COMMENT". Was I punished in any way ? NO ! Were the elders upset with me ? Very much so ! Could they do any thing about IT ? NO ! ! ! :) :) :) The whole process helped to wake me up !

It's so good to see Vicky, we were in the same cong in Walthamstow, where the elders covered up cases of abuse, I know our brother Scarlet lost his mind from the effects of cognitive dissonance and gas lighting, he had to cover up for abusers and punish victims. So proud of you Vicky. I must tell you the org is set up to deceive the elect. I wrote letters to bethel and our hall about 2 years ago prophesying the preaching will end.. within a year covid locked every1 down. I am prophesying, it's my calling, the org does not allow women prophets/truth tellers..that's what we are.. Joel 2;28,29

I remember staying up nights, watching the Australian Royal Commission, too. Just learning ttatt. You ladies are so right, thinking about the questions a minor child is asked in this kind of Judicial committee, it's child abuse. It's literally abusive. It makes me so angry. Jesus got baptized at 30 years of age, there is a good reason for this. The Jews did not recognize a man, as a man till he was 30. Girls usually mature around 24. the Elders pressured our daughter at 13 to get baptized, we held her back too, although we regretfully agreed to her being an unbaptized publisher. Thank goodness we woke up and left the org when she was 14, she is now 21 we retained our faith in Christ so I or someone else will baptize her when she is ready, probably after she is 24.

Thank you for this in-depth interview. I've never been a Jehovah's witness although being exposed to this religion since my teens. I've never been "shunned" by my JW sister and nieces but, contact from them has been sporadic, and I'm being generous saying that. I suppose I'm considered bad association since, after three or four attempts over the years, I never got hooked. Now, in my 70's I look back and think of all of the missed family get togethers that could have been. But, being a Christian is much more rewarding than belinging to a cult filled with pretenders who put an organization with their man-made rules above family and genuine friends. I hope I live to see the day when all that is hidden is disclosed in this and other cults! May God bless you all!

This scenario would play out in my mind. I had my minor daughter I was awake enough to know I wouldn’t permit her to meet in secret with a group of elders. I already saw this being played out with other members of my family. So my daughter as a minor would be off limits.

The Watchtower Society is guilty of violating one verse in Proverbs 6;16-19. The are six things, no seven that God hates; a lying tongue, a proud look, a heart that devises evil things, hands that shed innocent blood, feet that run to mischief, a false witness that speaks lies, a man that does discord among brothers. Sowing discord simply means stir up division against one another, and that includes stirring division against families. Lying and stirring division against families are two things that the Watchtower Society's Governing Body is particularly guilty of when it has instituted the policy of forced shunning of those who simply disagree with its false teachings. Thank you for exposing its unjust shunning policy and lies.

My sister was a baptized witness. She was disfellowshipped about a year ago. I'm not baptized however I believed being JW was correct religion. I found out it is not. So when my mom shunned my sister, I shunned and cut off all communication with my mom. So she could see how it felt. So my mom spent months calling me to no avail. So months later I finally picked up the phone when she called. She asked me what was wrong. I told her if you are not talking to my sister, I will not have anything to do with you. I told her l loved her but that's the way it's gonna be. Well, a few months later my mom started reaching out to my disfellowshipped sister. If she shuns her again, I'll cut her off again. Enough of hurting my sister's feeling for this doctrine of the devil. We are her only 2 daughters. I guess she couldn't deal with not having either one of us.

Of all the ex-jw videos I’ve watched, this one really stirred up some angry emotions. No parent should side with a cult, against their child or children, especially a minor.

It’s a cunning strategy the disfellowshipping arrangement. As Vicki said the disfellowshipped, shunned youngster is more likely to make bad choices. Then they are as JT puts it best a poster child for what happens when you leave and therefore used as an example to others and a reason why you should remain. As parents often you do not realise you have given over your natural inclination as a parent and handed over authority to an ungodly org until a situation like this happens. Don’t make the same mistake!
