BABYMETAL - THE ONE / THE FIRST TAKE (REACTION) 

Nice reactions. I like whenever they do this song. The living legend version with just Su and Moa had many thinking that was the end of Babymetal. But it just turned out they were taking a break that got very extended due to covid. There was a lot that went on in that video. First that was filmed in the Budokan. Must have been around the time they did the 10 shows for the 10 years of Babymetal. They were spread over two months not sure when it was actually done. Just around that time. No one is in the audience. That's just lights. The lighting for it tells a story as well. This was the end of the Metal Galaxy tour as well. The album had Su represented as the sun and Moa as the moon. When Su starts to sing, she is alone. Su started her career before Yui and Moa being two years older. She was part of Karen Girls at the age of 10. Which by chance was also a trio of girls. Su was the youngest among them. Babymetal was built around Su and her incredible voice. Then Moa gets added and she orbits around Su as they sing. Su sings first and then Moa repeats. with the pale moon lighting. Then it switches to the sun color. Moa joins Su and then Moa sings first and Su repeats her. Their attention to detail is amazing. Then we get them going up the stair to become living legends. As they return to the metal galaxy as lights a third light joins them. Many took this to represent Yui as Su and Moa have said that Yui is like family and will always be part of Babymetal. Which from a certain point of view will always be true. Yui officially left in 2018. But folks still to this day and for years to come will refer to her as Yuimetal. There's a lot of love in this world for Yui. With that said in hindsight the third light could just as easily been a sign that a third member will be joining them. And it was Momometal. But not really for a couple of reasons. After this was filmed Momoko tried out for a Kpop group. They had a whole show about for who will become part of that group. There's a clip of her and few others practicing. Some say one of the ladies in the back is actually Moa. She's wearing a big mask so it's hard to tell if that's actually her or not. There is one version that you didn't cover and that is the one from Legend S for Su's 20th birthday. Su and Moa are all decked out with crowns. first big show without Yui as epic as that show is. It is hard for many to watch because it's easy to tell Yui isn't there. No extra dancers. And her spot is just empty. The crowd sang Yui's lines for most of the show. Babymetal fans are part of Babymetal too. We Are Babymetal. See You

At Nippon Budokan 2021 it was recorded without the audience, and probably around the tine they were doing this 10 live series of concerts to celebrate their 10 Years. 12:38 best part of this reaction having so much fun with the song.😄 Next suggestion: - Doki Doki Morning live at Makuhari Messe 2023 (special version with the new BM unit) - Karate live at PIA Arena MM 2023, another special version. The location the 'Stairway to Living Legend' video was filmed at is the Budokan, a very famous arena in Tokyo. It was filmed after their performance, when the audience had left.

And when I saw the three stars fly away at the end, I was happy to see that YUIMETAL was with them. I cried in two ways. I invite you to join BM's US tour(THE BABYKLOK TOUR 2023), which runs from the end of August through mid-October.(Unfortunately, there are no performances in Canada this time.) 👍 👍 Questions? BabyMetal began in 2010 there were Suzuka Nakamoto age 12 Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno (Yui left in 2018 due to health reasons). Both Moa and Yui were 11 years old when the group began. All three were friends and classmates who attended an idol school/group (Sakura Gakuin) founded in 2010 by Amuse Talent Agency for girls 10 to 15. Themed around school life (they attended regular school as well) the girls would learn and train at vocals, dancing, public speaking and etiquette, etc., graduate at age 15 and then move onto whatever entertainment path they chose or that suited their talents. Key Kobayashi was a music producer for Amuse and heard Suzuka sing at age 9 and was impressed with her strong vocals and stage presence. Kobayashi was a fan of heavy metal but believed that the genre had become stale and tired (especially in Japan) with metal bands getting old Kobayashi believed the genre needed to be reborn (BabyMetal means the birth of a new metal genre). Kobayashi felt that Suzuka had the ability to front a metal band and that her vocals and presence could withstand the metal guitars and drums. The fusion of Jpop and Metal began. He placed Moa and Yui as backup singers/dancers and a phenomenon was about to result. At first Amuse showed no interest and the girls had only financing from Kobayashi. They performed at strip malls and small venues using clothes borrowed from friends and family. No money for a real band they had friends dressed in homemade skeleton costumes pretending to play instruments to a backtrack. They became a sensation (these young ladies paid their dues). Amuse saw the potential and in 2012 hired the best session musicians Japan had to offer (The Kami Band) who tours with them today (now includes world class musicians from the USA for tours outside of Asia). Nice reaction. I 100% agree with you about that Uzi song. I actually don't really like it. I find it.... noisy. And as you said, if you're just listening to it for the Babymetal parts, then just listen to Babymetal, because to me even the Babymetal parts sounds kinda forced and immature. I don't know I might get a lot of flack from the rest of The One for saying that, but even though, yes it does sound "happy", it also sounds like I said, immature to me. Even though Doki, Doki was their first song when they were just practically little babies still, I find even THAT song had more substance and cohesion than the Uzi song. That being said, if people like the song, then thats good. That also means more people like give Babymetal a chance and more people might come to light Babymetal. And lets face it. This world needs more Babymetal. As for Su's English you're correct, her English has improved by leaps and bounds, although she still has a lot of trouble saying the word World. I think quite put my finger on it, but something to do with how she pronounces the letter "L" in World always sounds wrong. I'm not criticizing her though because she is making such a big effort to learn not only English but so many other languages just so she can say a couple sentences in different languages to her fans when she tours in different countries. HUGE props to her for doing that. The band always makes me more and more proud of them every day. They really are a God-send.
