I've tried a few few different chickpea omelet/egg recipes and they never work. This one was no different. I follow the recipe exactly and all I get is a dried out crumbly mess. I've tried adding more water..even tried adding a little oil to the mixture but same results. Not sure if it's a specific brand or type of chickpea flour that is being used? I've been using Herbaila natural gluten free chickpea flour
I have a unopened bag of chickpea flour that I purchased recently and cannot wait to try this omelette with some vegetables. My mother used to serve veg omelettes with a light drizzle of Worcestershire sauce over top with toast as a lunch dish. So tasty. Of course I will use a vegan Worcestershire, Boudin’s sourdough toast and Miyoko’s butter (my Northern California staples). Looking forward to watching all of your videos. Thank you!
Hi dear, Thanks for the video. I've been a vegan for many years but never learnt how to use chickpea flour properly. My omelette came out very tick, but tasty! I'll had even more water next time. This was my dinner today and I don't need anything else, really. Thank you. :)
nice play on the italian farinata or the french socca. i wonder if aquafava --the liquid in a can of chickpea, could be whipped like eggwhites and incorporated into the batter to create an omelette even more closely resembling a traditional french omelette--or even pushed to be like an omelette soufflee? hmmm... i think im going to be playing in my kitchen soon.
Ist time on your channel and I find it interesting that omelet looked quite delicious. Just would like some lunch & dinner recipes. Thanks for sharing your omelet recipe. 😊❤🇯🇲
that's a pancake (I'm talking about a real pancake, not an american pancake, which is thicker and smaller); no eggs => no omelet (or omelette, if you are british)
With practise you will .it will help if you loosen the sides like how she does .then put the thing you flip it with really deep means around halfway and flip over quickly with practise u will suceed😀
Hi thank you for sharing the recipe looks really nice. How many omelettes do you prepare using these measurements? Do you have the measurements if I was only to prepare one? thank you 🙂
1 cup garbanzo flour 1cup water 1 tsp each of apple cider vinegar, black salt, baking powder and mixed herbs. Oil for pan Did I get it right? Thank you. Hope this helps someone else.
You should not be giving up eggs. There is a reason they were hard to give up and that is because they have essential fatty acids in. Read again the word 'essential'. Eat eggs.
If your not interested in meat free alternatives WHY come here and comment. You want meat and eggs. FINE don’t come here questioning what and why we do what we do. Ugh!!!
thanks for this recipe. it's my first peek at your vlogs, and you are lovely! i like the addition of apple cider vinegar -- which is not listed in your ingredients at the top, btw. that little tweak could make all the difference. checking your other vlogs, and just subscribed, of course! wishing you all the best!!
