Don't remove the "ear" on the body side. It serves to keep perspiration off the gun, protecting it from rust.

I would be afraid the plastic of the credit card could break and cause the trigger to go off. I would only use a metal card, which they sell blank metal cards for engraving on Amazon for cheap.

Thank you so much for this. A few weeks ago I was carrying my pistol in a belly band. I was in my vehicles and my dog was in the passenger seat but I had forgotten to buckle him in his car seat. I became alarmed when he started pawing me right where the gun was, I told him to sit and he being well trained sat. I was really grateful my pistol has a thumb safety but I have been wanting to figure out where to get a trigger guard and this seems to be exactly what I need. I am female also

I just got my CCW in Georgia, I’ve decided to take my journey in steps, I’ve been to the range, got my license, went to the range to try different guns and find my EDC. I have weaker hands so recoil is a big issue for me and also my grip since I’ve been paralyzed and my braces and muscles have taken the longest to develop back. My thumb isn’t strong enough to hit the button to drop the clip. So that’s another concern. I shot my best with my boyfriends Glock 40 I have to beat control and aim then it would be his shield. We went to a gun store and I held a Springfield Xds and it was comfortable with a strong grip but now I need to find a range to rent one or someone who has one I can try Thank you for all your videos they have been extremely helpful ♥️

Congratulations on beginning your CCW journey! If you want to build grip strength, there is a product called IronMind EGG that can help. I also like grip rings, I keep one in my car and do reps at stop lights😊 If you are struggling with the button mag release, please consider renting a Walther or an H&K with the paddle mag release. You press down on the paddle with your index or middle finger to release the mag and I find it much easier than button release. I hope this helps! Best luck in your CCW journey!

Smith and Wesson m&p shield EZ in 380 acp or 9mm sounds like something you would be interested in. Easy to load, also easy to rack the slide.

I have the shield 9mm EZ. It's a challenge to conceal but it's a great gun and super "EZ" to rack & reload. My Mom has the ez380 it's a little lighter and easier to conceal but I prefer the knockdown power of the 9mm. My gun is heavier so it does not have much recoil.

Thanks Rachel Dee, I didn't know they would do that! I have a Can Can belly band but it definitely will not fit a trigger guard in it. It makes me nervous to wear it without 1 because when I was "practicing" with it (walking around my house doing chores with unloaded gun) my gun fell out which was very concerning! So really I have never actually used it :(

This is such a great idea. I love the bellyband I have but have already had to add some stitches to it as the elastic has stretched some already after a couple months of use. I bought the insert and some velcro and it works great, plus the fact that the trigger is now protected. Thanks for your great videos-so much great info!

Ok, thanks for doing this! I was actually wondering about doing something similar like getting a kydex holster and removing the clip and then adding the velcro. I might try that with a holster I have but don't use because I don't have pants that will hold the bulky gun and I prefer the security of my Lethal Lace wrap holster for my P365 anyway! UPDATE: I ran out to Walmart, picked up the industrial velcro and it works! I also have a chest bag I carry in sometimes and will add the velcro to the inside of the bag to hold my new clipless holster!

Another option go find a trigger guard specific to your make model. It comes with a string that you can tie off to whatever fabric belt loop for example. I got mine off Amazon cuz I could get next day. It just snaps over trigger.

I bought some 0.8mm thick steel cards off Amazon that I sew into my belly bands. You can either sew them incased in scrap fabric, or velcro use velcro strips. I do not recommend using plastic cards because if it were to break, the shard could jam into the trigger.

I’m going to try this out on my belly band!! i prefer kydex holsters but i think that’s because I havnt found a decent way to protect the trigger. i also have the dene adams corset holster and i absolutely love it!! i also bought 2 trigger guard shells so im excited to try it out in my belly band

Hi Stav! Thank you SO much for this video! I have the Corset from Dene Adams and this exact custom trigger guard (for my P365) for it. But because of this video, I can try it in my belly band (very similar to the cancan, different brand) and see if I like the belly band better now! I hated that it felt so vulnerable when I moved (could be my own anxiety while trying to learn more comfortable ways to carry) but I would worry if my son hugged me, or if I leaned against something or squatted (afraid my gun would pop out).

I just removed the belt clip from my inexpensive kydex holster ($20) and added velcro on the outside of it and inside of my ComfortTac bellyband pocket. It works well for those times I'm wearing sweatpants, etc.

Hello Stav, I Did Not Know That Is A Trigger Guard, It Looks Like A Holster. I Bought One Of Those 'Used' From A Pawn Shop With The Logo 'We The People'! Very Patriotic. It Also Has A Clip That Can Hook Onto A Pants Belt And The Firearm Is Then Inserted. The Clip Could Be Removed And Velcro Applied And Inserted Into A Belly Band. Thank You And Beautiful Video! I have a different body band and I love the body band idea because it's so comfortable, but my body band sucks because the magazine pockets are located directly opposite of the carrying position. I like to carry in the appendix position so it's awkward. Thank you so much for the info on your belly band. I am going to get one! I love that it has all the pockets!!

I ended up buying the modular belly band holster from cross breed holsters and put it inside my sticky holster guard her belt and belly band(: I was always looking for an option like this and that’s what worked for me(: I did have to cut the seems on the bottom of the pocket on the bands but it works great(: but the kydex and leather is pretty thick so it is bulkier than I would have liked

You should check out crossbreed holsters belly band holster. Comes with a kydex holster with a flat side with velcro. Since its flat on the velcro side you can stick it anywhere. I put a piece of the loop velcro underneath my nightstand, just pull it off the band and have it right by the bed at night.

You could also get a cheap holster and add an ulticlip. The ulticlip is much more secure IMO and keep the retention a bit tighter, that's what I usually use if using belly bands for my runs.

Hi Stav. I have done this with all my Belly Bands I put the Velcro on both sides and it is not coming out. I used Iwb kydex holsters for all of them and I leave them in and this is so comfortable and safe and the kydex holsters are cheaper than this guard. also another trick take a Seam Ripper and open the pocket All the way and you can get the hole holster down in there farther. I bought cheap Belly Bands and opened all the Pockets so I can leave them in.

Sup stav. My belly holster protects trigger. Other 2 don't. I don't recall brand and most is worn off. Have to find out.. Holds full size also. Other 2 just compact. A corset won't look good on me lol. Can get 25' Velcro at home depot if use a lot. Nice job. Ty tc

Did that with my fullmosa belly band and a regular holster. Did not like the retention strap on the holster or the fact that sometimes the front sight would catch on the pocket.

I wonder if there are belly bands that are specifically designed for being in contact with skin and sweat (say, a treadmill) regularly and can bear up under repeated washings...and have a water proof panel to protect firearm?
