After that Ultimaker Cura screwed up my pc! Real 3D seem to work the best as I can slice and save the sliced parts of a model. I'm now waiting for your indepth video tutorial on how to work the slicer so I can save and slice more complex models for printing. Thanks.
I'm new to the 3d printing community and am currently using the Creality slicer. But I need to cut up my chose model so am looking at alternative slicers that will help you do that
Excellent video for these 4 free slicers! Really enjoying your videos, down to earth and easy to understand. Plus as an added bonus, you're Canadian too eh!🤣😂. I'm currently learning Blender that allows you to create and slice in the same program as well as very in-depth settings. Glad to have someone like you with value and simple to understand, keep up the great work!
Hi Trish, I would recommend Cura for sure. I is easy to install and configure. Here is a link for cura for the TenLog drive.google.com/file/d/1GxF9D0WtEPwXOxdu1iluLBeF8KAMw23E/view And here is Cura for the Hictop www.hic3dprinter.com/pages/software
I can say you didn't show the same features in Matter Control than what you spent most of the time showing in Prusia Slicer. Its like its you favourite slicer. Maybe you can do a complete review of each slicer separately after a few days of using. Anyway thank you for spending the time to do a video of these slicers.
So, I have a question... I have a f3z file and a bunch of STL files that I got from thingaverse in a zip file, but I'm not sure what exactly I need to do with the files... Some of the files that are stl's do not seem to appear in the f3z file, and the main part combines a bunch of pieces I guess you could say into one I don't know One Creation I guess and I'm wondering how the original person extrapolated that into the STL files, and how I can edit the main file which includes a bunch of stuff that should not be put together during printing that appears to be put together in the main f3d zipped project... I'm out of my depths here... For anyone who might be asking, I do not have a 3D printer but I have a relative who does who has made an open invitation to print stuff for me if I wanted stuff printed so I am looking at a few different projects that I would like to either combine or you know something I'm not quite sure what I want to do yet... And in case it wasn't clear I am using the trial version currently of fusion 3D although I will be using the hobbyist edition in future I am assuming
@@TheFirstLayer thank you, I did try to do that but when I try to print a file the printer hangs then just goes back to the start screen. According to Dremel the Dremel 3d20 only uses g3drem extension and not gcode. I know for the Cura slicer I had to go to Market place and add a Dremel 3d piece of software/plugin that was made specific to use the Dremel 3d with Cura. I was hoping you had a suggestion to do something like that.
sad that you haven't added "superSlicer" into the review but have chosen the matter control, which isn't free despite your title (free version doesn't deliver everything so it isn't free)
