The reveal that 'Dorm of the Dead' was a Donald Farmer film was legitimately the scariest thing I've seen this whole month.

Holy hell... So, I went to high school with Ciara Richards, the lead actress in Dorm of the Dead, who must've been 14-15 when this was shot before it was distributed in 2006, and in that post-credits scene walked in Mr. Brewster, a teacher I had for Geometry who was thrown out middle of the spring semester 2008 for diddling students... So, just gauging off this and Shark Exorcist (which was shot around middle TN at places like Opry Mills mall and featured notable, um, "ne-erdo-wells" of the Brewster type)... This Donald Farmer guy might not just be a pervert. I'm just saying!

Looked up the 13 year old college student from Dorm of the Dead and found out she's an MD now. I'm happy she put this traumatic experience behind her.

The transition from Rich being the punching bag to Mike being it was so subtle you almost didn't notice it over the last 8 years.

When Mike starts to rant at 28:00, Jay is constantly giving him looks like he already knows exactly how he's going to edit that part of the discussion.

That "Oh, Thank God" from the mom is the most genuine piece of acting in any of these movies. She sounds like this is her 500th take, and she's actually, legitimately fed up now Also, might I suggest: El Pachiño

To think that this TV took a surprising amount of axe swings to fully die, but Jay's brand new expensive one only needed one tiny little cat bite to get completely busted.

There is so, SO much backstory to Don't Panic. The director made four horror films - Don't Panic, Cemetary of Terror, Grave Robbers (all three released by Vinegar Syndrome), Mutantes del año 2000 (a giant rat is murdering people within a heavily polluted, almost post apocalyptic Mexico), and a bunch of cheapy direct to video crime movies before moving on to television. The horror movies have a lot of influence from John Carpenter, Dario Argento, and lots of other directors. El Pacino is actually Jorge Luke, you might recognize him from some 1980s action and comedy films. Michael starred in another movie by Galindo Jr - Rescate Mortal - and he also starred in and DIRECTED another movie called Ratas nocturnas. Frida went on to star in a few more movies and some soap operas. Tony still acts in movies and TV shows. Underwear dude now co-hosts a morning TV show (but he did a LOT of sleazy direct to video stuff in the 90s.) Shotgun guy is still acting a bit but he's mostly retired and his life story is ... quite a thing. Michael's mom is an award winning actress who worked with WERNER HERZOG AND KLAUS KINSKI. The Mexican version of the film changes a few things but it's mostly the same. Half the reason the script feels so weird is because it's a near direct translation of it. And yes, that version is also overdubbed.

As an Italian myself, I am ashamed that we made Primal rage but proud that we didn't make Shark Exorcist. At least there's that.

Mike, drunk out of his mind, remembering _correctly_ that "Hosen" means "pants" in German caught me off guard, I must say.

Midway through the discussion I noticed the fire in the background, and thought "that's a pretty convincing fire they have going there...but it can't be real, because they wouldn't have a chimney, so how did they do it? Is it green screen? Are they filming somewhere other than the studio? Wait.....is it just a TV?" Anyway, the Chekhov's TV fireplace PAID OFF AT THE END!

I am still shocked that Mike knew the name Enrico Fermi. He doesn't remember what apartments are called. That's some Dan Vs. levels of disjointed knowledge.

"Why do we have another film directed by that psychopath?!?" feels like it should be the tagline for Best Of The Worst, period

I get the feeling that when Donald Farmer was a small child he witnessed a woman in a bikini having a seizure on a beach and it was the single most arousing experience of his life. His entire filmography is just him desperately trying to recapture that feeling.

The irony of this being the only Halloween episode without carved pumpkins in it - whilst also being the first Halloween episode filmed after the Christmas Black Spine that included a "how to carve pumkins" instructional video, is quite something.

Just gotta say, I appreciate their stage design. No matter what they never cease to make feel like it's Halloween when watching these

Danny Boyle really should receive more credit here for his “28 Days Later” soft reboot of “Primal Rage.”

As a mexican currently living in Mexico City, i can confirm we wear children's pajamas until we turn 25 years old, once we do we hold a ceremony where we burn them as a rite of passage into adulthood, and then we are given the choice to now sleep in our underwear, naked or with a new set of pajamas to keep in touch with our inner child

I often think that Jay chips in with the best zinger of the show, but “my eyes are down here” was inspired. Bravo, Mike. Bravo.

The sprinklers discussion at 37:20 is one of my all-time faves. "Sprinklers! You know why." is such a funny line and such an incredible way to point out such a weird transition.

I was certain Josh was about to comically snap the DVD in half.

That sprinkler shot (@ 37:19) is even funnier if you look at it again knowing what happens because you can see the fucking body already laying down! It feels like they didn't have any establishing shots prior to the doctor attacking the main girl so they just used one that was probably made for after the kill, maybe as a credit shot. None of them noticed at the time of recording but I bet they got a kick out of it when editing it.

The dig at the end toward James Rolfe gave me a hearty chuckle.

Primal Rage is the strangest adaptation of a 90s arcade fighting game I've ever seen.

Hearing the name Donald Farmer instantly had me regress into Mike's "no no no no, no no no no no no nooooo, no no no no nooooo" from that one wheel of the worst episode.

Fun fact: Jay cut his hand in the final scene of this episode, putting him in the great echelon of room thrashing scenes, together with Orson Welles, Tommy Wiseau and Zaat.

Rich knew that once Mike mentioned ghost programs it would lead to a tangent. Thank you for trying to save us Rich.

Glad that they destroyed Dorm of the Dead, because both of my parents were extras in it and have expressed throughout my life that they "wanted to see how the movie turned out". My sincere hope after seeing who directed it is that they never, ever see it.

My head cannon is that they wanted Ritchie for the movie destruction at the end, but only Jay fit the pajamas.

I cannot get over how amazing the discussion set is. It is gorgeous. What a beautifully prepared and edited episode. It has been funny in the past to see them get extra loose and drunk on Halloween, but this was a treat and they deserve praise for it for sure.
