Weight advantage on the m240i certainly give it that edge even with the awd power train loss. Personally it’s the 440i for me, I know it’s not as fun to drive but I enjoy the F32 styling and the bigger size is just a bit more comfortable as a daily. Both great cars.
440i is going to go down as historically good looking. Now If the 240 has a big turbo installed vs. factory turbo on stage 2 for the 440i. I’d say the 440 did pretty good head to head. Beautiful 240. But it’s the 440i for me.
This is the video I need to see. I discovered another neat little car that rose to the top of my list as my next option. The M240i. It also has the B58. So my next choices are a Supra, M240i, or M4. I am leaning towards the M240i because of the price, B58, and extra space. I will contact Darwinpro to see if their F22/M2 spoiler wing fits on the M240i. It is the best wing on the market for the 2 series BMW cars, and I rarely see it on any cars in pictures. This is what I am thinking about my next car. I have researched the F82 and A90 Supra. Now I have discovered this neat little M240i car with the x-Drive option. I think my next car in the future will be a 2017-2020 M240i because of the price, AWD x-Drive option, it has the B58 engine, and it has the extra car space I like.
@@rm_srosu1488 The 2020 and below M2 (previous models) are too expensive, it does not have x-drive, and it does not have the B58. The new M2 is too expensive and it looks terrible. Keep in mind, I only began to research into and like BMW cars within the past two or three months. It started with the E36 M3, which I think is the best looking of them all. I like 1990s, 1980s, and 1960s cars. I am trying to have more of an open mind because I like the B58. It reminds me of the 1990s inline 6 turbocharged engines. They put it in the new Supra. The Supra is my new favorite car among the current generation of cars. The problem is space, and I would have to save up even more. M240i is cheaper than any M2 and it has the B58, which is the same engine as the Supra. It is also a light car. I have a good vision for cars and style. I know what wing would look the best on it.
I live in the DC area, here they are marking up the Supra $10k, but dealers are giving $2k - $3k off the 240i xDrive, it was really a no brainer. The BMW takes the Supra off the line and through the 1/4, it has a comfort setting that's actually fairly comfortable, is far more practical and I prefer the style to the Supra.
The m240i was going to win because of the extra power and weight benefit. Both cars running with B58 but the m240i is tuned up from factory hence the “m” while the 440i is the normal B58.
Hello, what do you mean it's tuned up from factory? I have a F22 m240i (same as in this video) and it's the exact same bhp as the F series 340i & 440i.
@@oliver3699M designated cars always have a higher level tune from the factory vs the non M versions. M235i and 228i share the same B48 ( 2.0 inline 4 ) but the M235i is rated at 302Hp vs 228Hp for the 228i.
Are you sure? In Australia they're 250kw vs 240kw@@oliver3699 . That being said in this video the factory tune ain't gonna mean anything as they're both upgraded turbos and tuned
@@frogsta360 i completely agree, after a quick search yes they are slightly lower In stock form but as you said, once upgrading starts they are the exact same platform aside from chassis lol
