Hi, I’ve just bought some non genuine TPMS. Is fitting them then just waking them up with this tool all I need as these parts don’t come with any ID code to enter into any computer that may be attached to the bike. Cheers. I’m going to an authorised BMW mechanic, not a dealer. He thought I needed a code to pair the front & rear to the bike.
From what I understand 2 ways to do it. 1 if you know the ID of the tpms you can key it n with either a GS911 tool or the motorscan android apps with obd2 dongle. Second way is to trigger the tpms with this tool and using the gs911 or motorscan to go into the tpms pairing menu for it to pick up the triggered sender id and stored in the appropriate position. I also read somewhere to alternatively trigger the tpms without any special tool is to simulate rapid lost of tire pressure, this will trigger the sender on emergency and you should be able to tpms electronics to pick up the code and enter into appropriate position.
great you just solved my problem been looking everywhere now i know all i need to do is put them in the bike via the GS 911 by keying in the numbers that are displayed on the sensors @@AffyNoX
Jacques van Rooyen Hi, GS911 can’t trigger the sensor but from what I read about its specs, once the sensor is triggered by this device the gs911 can then open up the tire pressure monitoring system of the bike to accept the sensor id to be use by the bike. Motoscan will do the same, I do not own a 9S911 but have the motoscan. Thanks for your comment.
Hallo! I know the KTM uses the same BMW sensors. I have bought two spoke wheels with sensors. Can I use the tool to connect the sensors or do I have to put the sensors codes in the bike electronics?
You can use this to trigger the sensor, then the bike electronic can detect. You can pair it to either front or rear one at a time. But if you have the sensor code, it is far easier just to key in the codes to the appropriate sensor location.
