BorisFX Particle Illusion 2019 is a powerful, real-time particle generator. It allows you to easily add effects such as fireworks, explosions, energy effects, laser beams, fairy glitter and much much more into your shot.

I am always here, but I don't do the 'content for the sake of content' thing any more - I did a video about that a few months back :) I want to create quality content independent of what the RU-vid algorithms wants me to do so videos will come out as they are ready :)

Hi Ilkhom, no worries at all! You can duplicate the fireworks layer and then set the Composite Mode to 'Apply + Alpha'. Set Alpha to 'None' and you will have a layer with nothing but the fireworks. Then you can flip this layer vertically and mask it out / blur it to create some reflections on the river :)

The particle emitter library is a separate installer from the main one - you can get both from the BorisFX website :)

the standalone version had an option to number the particles in a line, around a ring or a matrix in rectangle, is this some thing that may return. For example you could have 12 particle emitters along a line rather than a continuous flow, anyway I think I remember it working that way.

I have to admit I don't know as I don't work for BorisFX, but I believe they are already actively working on another version that will bring a lot of those features back and add a whole lot of new ones :) Not sure when it might be available though

Check out my tutorial on how to use Particle Illusion (which is FREE) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1Bwdcb2_WxA.html Once you render out your particles in a video file you can just bring that into HitFilm Express and use it in there (Additive/Screen blend mode + Glow) :D

I don't think you can. Mocha HitFilm does not seem to include the Remove module: borisfx.com/products/mocha-hitfilm/

I am very familiar with the stand alone Particle illusion software, is there any way in this version to change the image and the gradient color, there was a different area for that in the original, am I missing something here. There does not appear to be a documentation available yet.

There are currently some missing features from the old Particle Illusion such as building a brand new emitter from scratch or changing the gradient. These will be added in future point releases.

You are very welcome! I actually DO have a Udemy course for AE for beginners :D It doesn't go all the way to 'Pro' level (depending on your definition), but takes you from Absolute Beginner to a decent Intermediate level - at least that's the intention. The standalone version is a standalone version - it’s not a plug-in. If you want it as a plug-in effect in Premiere Pro or AE you need to purchase the plug-in version

I don't think so - but with the huge number of presets and the ability to turn the different layers on each effect on/off you can usually customise enough to get what you want :)

Never mind. It's $750. Fusion (free with the DaVinci suite) has a particle system. How good is that?

That IS pretty good! Note that Boris Continuum is a pretty large collection of hundreds of effects. You can also get Particle Illusion as part of the Continuum Particles Unit which includes only the particle related effects from Continuum - that's currently on sale for $299 :) But if you're happy with your current solution, that's great too :)

I think if you don't have a license then a "New License" is $746.25. Then, if you want updates & support, you have to buy an "Annual Subscription" each year for only $221.25. I'm not sure I got this correct. Their terms are very confusing and I think aimed at big professional FX houses. The info about pricing is spread across many web pages. I finally gave up on trying to understand how it works.

You do not need a "new" license to purchase an annual subscription. If you are an independent artist, this is typically the best way to get into any of the Boris FX products. You can find the full price list here: borisfx.com/store/price-list/

1. Apply Particle Illusion to the video you want to add particles to (this does only work with the plugin version, NOT with the standalone version) 2. 2:30 - Set the preview background to 'Source Video' to use the video clip as the background within Particle Illusion

It's just a product name. Also, companies often name their product according to the financial year and try to avoid naming it something that will be out of date within less than a year

Import it where? If you’re talking about seeing it in PI you need to composite the effect over video (option above preview window if you’re using the pro/paid Plug-in)

@@marianablanco8262 You apply Particle Illusion as an effect to the video you want to add particles to. Then ( as you can see at 2:30 in the tutorial ) you can enable to use that video as the background inside Particle Illusion

You don't 'import' the video, you add the effect to your videos in the host software

в место того чтобы чуть прокачать Particle Illusion, он просто завернули его под другую торговую марку, и всё. Конешно сам инструмент добротный и неплох, но он неудобен и устарел сравнительно например Stardust. из фишек Треккинг - это неплохо, но отсутствие физики и реального 3д пространства - это большой минус, и за такую цену - это не приемлемо

Даже библиотеки стандартых еффектов - теже, ничего нового за 10 лет (((( я на этих эфектах - вырос. За эти 10 лет RedGiant - розработал модульные еффекты Particular - стал круче, появился Stardust, и єти продукты стоят дешевле в раза ~2.5(((
