Okay, so the disbandment had nothing to do with BigHit having financial troubles. That was really early on. BTS were seriously considering disbanding during early 2018 because they had exploded globally in 2017 n all the fame, pressure, expectations were weighing them down. The success was so unexpected n humongous that they all went through a pretty rough time. That's when they were considering whether to continue or not. Jin revealed how tough it was for them during the 2018 year end award speech. And yes, the song melody is written by Suga along with his verse. J-Hope n RM contributed their verses as well. Usually, the Rapline writes their own lines, except very rare cases where RM writes the whole song (RM focuses on lyrics while Suga's expertise lies in composing). But 95% time Rapline writes their own verse in the songs. Tear is used by RM in the sense of the shedding tears .. While Suga uses it in the sense of ripping apart.. And J Hope rhymes it with Fear. Outro-Tear is masterpiece!

Since you watched this song, you could watch them receiving the MMA award right after the time they had discussed disbanding. I think that was the first time they revealed they had been talking about it. They all talk. It’s quite an emotional video though…

2019 ~ Jhopes DIOR outfit is Legend! There is a video of a guy who was one of the trainees who didn't make it as a member to BTS. In the video, He and another trainee talk about BTS would not be the same if they would have made the group. They said, they didn't have the passion that the members who made the group have. I agree, did you see Jhopes face at the end. He put his whole being into that performance, as did RM & Suga. The lyrics are crushing to anyone who's had a horrible breakup. Tear is a masterpiece.

This poetic masterpiece is such a heartbreakingly accurate expression of each of their personalities during hardship. RM: Sadness and self-reflection as a natural leader. He will always ask himself what more he could/should have done as an individual for the good of the group. J-Hope: The fear that comes with loss, change, and the unknown future. Suga: Pure, raw feeling. He takes us up and down, back and forth with him as he's experiencing every emotion. This is why we love them so. *Edit: and YES! Dior Hobi IS ICONIC!

The live performance of this shakes me every time. Fashion note: BTS is the only group that Dior ever designed performance clothing for specifically for them.

it was such a privilege for me to witness this exact performance in person.. it was so intense and so emotional, I would literally give anything to be there again... and honestly, it's such a beautiful and poetic song, and the delivery is just perfect. You could hear the emotions in their voices so well, I love it

This song is so emotional on its own, when it first came out we didn't know what\who was it about .. it was after 2 YEARS when yoongi said in their docu-series "Break the silence" that this song was written for the members during hard times, here's the quote : *"At the time, we were deeply contemplating whether we should quit or not. When I played the song for the members, we all cried together."*

That's the magic of BTS. The fact that they have 7 members who are ALL so talented, and yet are in one single group. It's absolutely insane. I believe the performance was in 2019. Regarding concerts, I'm also waiting for them to have a world tour since I haven't seem them live yet. I would suggest that you sign up for ARMY membership on Weverse (it's not expensive), so that you can get into the pre-sale. Tickets usually are sold out during pre-sale. Otherwise, I assume you'd have to buy a ticket from a resale. Also, you know that the BTS concert from Seoul is being shown in movie theatres this Saturday (March 12th)? You should check whether it's being played near you and go! I'll be going here in Canada. It should be a fun time.

I was at this concert in Wembley. It really BLEW MY MIND!! I think this experience really made me an ARMY. Hope you get to see them live one day. 💜

this is for me, by far, bts' rap line best song might even be on my top 3 songs from them in general cuz it's basically the only rap line song that dives really deep into their feelings, rather than talking back to haters, etc, so it's much more complex, emotionally also, I think each rapper showcased their qualities and lyricism to the max on this one, joon's lyrics and super fast flow, Yoongi's emotion expressed through his anger and very honest lyrics, and hobi's literally tear driving flow, delivery and performance, it's insane

My favorite performance! So emotional. And Hobi in Dior is fire. The potential disbandment was about the pressure and unexpected worldwide fame that came to them at this time. Please watch their acceptance speech at the MMAs.

This song came out in 2018 but ARMY didn't find out the meaning behind it until the Break The Silence docuseries came out in September of 2020. It pretty much broke the internet when ARMY realized how much pain this song actually expresses and that the pain was very real for the boys.

Glad you found the live of this - you can See the emotion too, as well as hear it. Then go watch the 2018 MAMA award speech (or was it MMA)?? Anyway, That was where I found out that earlier in 2018 they almost broke up. Luckily I didn't find them til 2021, but I still got emotional over it.

Thank you Rob, this is my favourite song by the rap line, and one of my top five of all time by BTS - it never fails to touch my soul, and leave me wrung out. All three break my heart, but Hobi, here, shatters me…💔🥲 Their pain is real, and they are such amazing artists, they make sure we all feel it too. Please listen to Yoongi’s First Love, even if it’s just for you, you don’t have to react (although that would be awesome😂🤷‍♂️), the lyrics, and the emotion are intense 💜🙏 I was there, at Wembley - there are no words to describe a BTS concert experience. It took me forever to save up for that trip (I am a Brit, but I live in South Africa), and I had rubbish seats - biggest regret of my life so far is that I didn’t have dosh for front-row, or sound check 😳 As others have said, you need to get membership of their official fan club BEFORE tickets go on pre-sale (there is an app called WeVerse Shop where you get the membership) - it’s an annual sub, but you don’t have to renew it obviously… Also, familiarise yourself with the ticketing process and website, and make sure you have uninterrupted high speed internet connectivity and are sitting at your computer before the pre-sale starts - and some time to dedicate to it. Run a couple of computers if you can, Lao too and desk too, whatever - or else get someone else to also try to buy for you at the same time (my sister in Scotland was online with me, and she was the one who actually secured our tickets). Also, take “the best seats available” instead of fiddling around trying to get specific, there just isn’t time - it wasn’t as crazy back in 2019, but tickets still went really quickly - now, I don’t think I would stand a chance 🤷‍♂️🙈 If you are organised and move fast, you could be in with a chance - I wish you luck, everyone should see them, it’s an amazing opportunity and I wish so badly that I could do it again - maybe, sometime, they will come here… Their concerts in LA in December, and these concerts now in Seoul all sold out in minutes, in the pre-sale, which was not open to the public, only to fan club members - several hundred thousand tickets, gone in a few minutes…It might be possible to get some on resale, but I would imagine the price would be scary…

I'm so happy you knew the backstory before going into this. It makes it 1000% more powerful. So many (most) reactors don't and are just hyped over the amazing flow. And I'm just sitting here trying to hold in my tears. That ending just shatters me every time I watch it.

It wasn’t anything to do with money or financials. They were burnt out & the pressure of climbing so high got to them all. They hadn’t had a proper holiday/vacation in so long. They renegotiated their contracts that year for a much more stable & long term goal. They went on a month vacation after their tour finished, privately & partly ‘back to work’ to film Bon Voyage 4 in New Zealand. Toxic people who call themselves fans of other groups went into overdrive thinking they were breaking up & so did the media. As usual when our boys go on a break ARMY are busier than ever. As long as they’re looked after and are happy then ARMY are too.💜

You were on point when you said that 7 men, each fully capable of being solo Artists, ended up in 1 group. This happens…Global Superstars!

Somebody already mentioned this but i hope u read the comments and correct ur information. It was not the money or the lack thereof that made them contemplate disbanding but their rising popularity. It all started in 2017 when they were invited to the American Music Awards the first Asian artist to perfom there. Suga at a later interview mentioned how he cried at the shower after that show.

They really love each other want others and it was hard for Army to hear. You have 7 talented superstars on their own and when together they form the super group BTS. There IS no other group above them To understand how close they were to disbanding watch the 2018 MAMA Awards including their speech when they accepted Artist of the Year. To them it validated that by staying together they still had what it takes to be the best. So when Black Swan was created it recognizes where they were worried that music no longer motivated them what would they do? Should they disband? It would have been their first death of doing something they all love which is performing for Army. Armies around the world are glad they decided to keep trying together. Can you watch Let Go from their Japanese album? Watch the lyric version the the live version from BangtanTV where it's not focused on a single member. Its their choreography that attracted me to BTS as while they perform even if they aren't the lead singer they are still doing the backup dancing. That's what makes them the best performers. You aren't watching a soloists performance in 1D but watching 7 superstars in 3D.

they actually talked about disbanding in 2018, after they became big and successful, not prior to that, so they weren't talking about giving up because of money struggles, but some other reason we don't know why exactly, but I think it's fair to say that they were kinda scared of how big they got (as you've seen they talk about this in many songs), and idol life is quite difficult to say the least, having to give up on so much, like having a normal private life, walking on the streets, having a relationship publicly ig, having time for yourself, etc etc as a lot of people have said in the comments, you can see the first and almost only time this was brought up was a speech they did in 2018 at the mma, when Jin talked about it and everyone sobbed on stage basically
