Harder than it looks. Jerome makes it look easy. I successfully finished an 89 hour fast, lost 14 lbs, but then ended up doing a 2 day refeed 😳. Now back on another multi-day fast. Consistency is the key but is also the hardest part.
Hey friend, try doing smaller fasts, like 50s. But stay consistent during the week. This will cut your two day redeems. For example do a 50 at the beginning of the week. Then do a 24. Then do a 50. In between the 50 and 24, that will cut down your refeed and little more easier to do mentality
I started fasting too and found that with the 70 hr fast I started feeling deprived. So I decided to go back to 48 hr fasts only. I take one meal in my refeeds (1 hour max). Keep trying different variations until you find what suits you.
I did a 75 day water fast went from 400 lbs down to 304. Had to break it. Fell off for a bit. Went back up to 330. Was able to get back on now Im back down to 315.
I'm definitely not perfect when I fast, but I'm always consistent. I'm not at my goal weight yet, but the pounds I've lost, I'm able to keep off due to consistency! Thanks Jerome!
Well done, Jerome. Continue to have fun and test your methods. Your positivity inspires us all that watch you. :) Even if i am not doing Rolling 72 no more and i do Keto - Omad (just finished 1 month with 5.8 kg lost) i still enjoy watching you and get the information, cause i know i will return someday to water fasting. Working on that consistency you mention. The key of success. :) Blessings!
I'm currently on day 21 of a 21 day fast. I plan to do a clean refeed tomorrow loading up on fiber and protein then roll right into rolling 7 day fasts until I hit goal weight.
So happy I found your channel about a month ago. After listening to your experience and reading comments, I decided to take on fasting to get healthy. Started 10 days ago, and this imperfect consistency really hits home. I'd lie if I'd say I've been able to do 65 hr rolling fast consistently. The longest fast I did was 76 hrs., and then I haven't been able to do anything above 20 hrs. But, since I started ten days ago, I've lost 10lbs. I started this at 263lbs and now at 253lbs. I'm currently 12 hrs into my current fast and aiming for 65hrs. Thanks for the videos, tips and encouragement.
I've been doing OMAD for a month but only lost a few pounds. So yesterday I decided to do my first 48 hr fast and I'm down another pound this morning. So starting to see what Jerome is talking about when it comes to the longer fasts to give your body more time to burn its own fat. Fasting doesn't seem so hard for me so.. I'm new though.
Im into my 6th round of 90+hr fasting. Getting easier and easier to do. On refeeds I eat within 8hr window whatever I want. It's not about denying yourself but just delaying for a little while. And I remind myself of that fact.
Imperfect consistency is exactly the term for it. You're a rockstar keep it up very inspirational! I could barley make it into May before i had to give up my 48 hour rolling fast!
Please do a video about your diabetes reversal process. Did it come back when you gained the 100 pounds back? Did it go away again? Are you taking medications? How long did it take to reverse, etc...? I am a lifestyle faster as well. I mainly do the 36 hour ADF, but have done as long as 10 days water only. I appreciate your openness and honesty.
I love this mindset, Fasting Through Imperfect Consistency. Thanks again for another helpful video. I'm 28 days into the Carnivore Chanllege. The next 30 days of the challenge require some fasting.
Sup Jerome, your knowledge and experience has help me understand and embrace imperfect consistency. Thanks for being transparent it really helps me to learn about my fasting muscle.
I've been fasting for years. But I could not sustain it with carbs at all Glad this works for you...... Turned carnivore plus fasting. It's a win for me now. Lost 40 pounds. Maintaining well
Well i can say this..im finally fasting again!!!! Took a break as I have been fasting since 1st january.. But today 7th june im finally fasting after seen Jason Fungs new video about fasting sugar and cancer!! It was a really good video!! You both fall under same RU-vid as you are both Asian and talks about fasting!! Although Jason Fung may talk more about cancer sugar and fasting and health...but you talk more about weightloss anf fasting! Have a wonderful weekend everyone 💫💫😊😊
J Man! I love that you had an entire day of eating and enjoying yourself. I think your fasting growth allows you to do these eating 'vacations" and then snap back when it's time...enjoy👍🏾 p.s. That Builders bar looked pretty good, lol.
Hey salute 🫡 to you sir and everybody else that is strong enough to Fast because I can’t do it lol. I’ve lost 60lbs in 5 months just from changing some things up but Fasting is tough asf and I commend you all 💪🏽💯
Has anyone found that fasting generally causes appetite suppression? I daydream about my refeed window and plan what I will eat but when the time comes I simply cannot put away all the food I used to be able to. Satiety hits me like a freight train in no time. I don’t get hungry again until day 3 of the subsequent fast. Is this normal?
This happened to me too. I cant get much in when I reefed and I don’t get hungry till late on my second day. In my last fast I took some enzymes to help my digestion I felt bloated for more than a day.
16 hrs into a 46 hr fast and a refeed window from Jerome to give me a virtual gnoshing experience? Yes please🤣🤣 Side bar: Not you eating the lesser evil popcorn. It is soooo good!! If you haven't tried the Himalayan gold get some, the buttery goodness is delish!! The Oh my ghee is really good also.
Thank you so much Jerome for posting this!! I’ve been struggling this week, but I did get it together. I was doing 120 hours for the most part, but this week I think I’ve put in 60 hours, which is still good. I’m grateful to be back on. Thank you for sharing the reminder that I don’t have to be perfect, just consistent!! I’m proud of you!!🙏🏾🙌🏾🫶🏾
Wish you luck. I’ve lost almost 60lbs since January 9th just by doing some simple things. And now I’m trying to learn how to fast but it’s touuuuugh asf. I can’t do it cause I give up everytime 😢
Great refeed Jerome. I had refeed today as well for 10 hours. Started the fasting clock again. My personal challenge is to fast for 7 days in June 4 times.
hii, what App are you using to track? also do you ever eat only healthy foods? pie, biscuits, popcorn, protein bars arent natural whole foods? wont the junk food affect the benefits to the body? or are you only focused on weight loss?
@@thespear4083 thank you for the explanation. Right after i sent this i started a 84 hour fast. I successfully made it through and then went on daily 20 hour fasts. When i started i was at 340lbs I'm currently at 328lbs.
