Hi! Grill Girl Here! Today I'm fixing up an old Barbecues Galore Turbo Gas Grill. It's from the early 2000s! I wanted to make a video to show what to look for when you're buying parts (burners, cooking grids, heat plates, briquette grates, and ignitors) for an older grill.
It's the same for all older brands including Charmglow, Charbroil, Weber, etc - the part may not look exactly the same as your original. The important thing is to replace the purpose of the part. The example I use in this video is the briquette tray. The original was a two piece cast iron plate that held the briquettes. The one now being made is a three-piece stainless steel plate that has briquettes within it. While it looks different, it still fits in the grill, protects the burner and distributes the heat evenly across the grates. That is the purpose of the briquette tray so at the end of the day, the problem is solved!
