Mar A dating someone online is the wildest, most spontaneous thing she’s ever done. She believes bisexuality is wrong and doesn’t even want to “touch it”. Look at her face when the topic comes up. It’s like her heart skips a beat, and not in a good way, probably because she’s scared of it like any homophobe. I’d say she’s quite ignorant if you ask me. I honestly don’t know what she means when she says she’s adventurous and spontaneous, but seems to me like she’s trying to fool everyone and herself about who she truly is, especially after mentioning it at least 6 or 7 times. Also, she asks the guy if dating a bisexual person, he wasn’t scared his ex would cheat on him, when straight people cheat all the time. She’s simply too close minded to convince me.

@@stefanackermann350 Yeah, I can see how that is illogical. A lot of assumptions were made but I think regardless there is a significant number of people that just don't feel comfortable with dating someone who is bi. I can see how its brought out fear (mostly of being/getting hurt), but it seems a bit of a jump to assume the worse. Its a bit judgmental to scorn someone like that especially since we don't know her. A lot of lesbian/gay people don't date Bi people too, and thats okay. People can choose whom they want to date or not. People should be respected is what matters. :)

Mar A I agree with you in some way. Now, dating/not dating bisexuals and accepting bisexuality itself/respecting it are two different things, and I think she’s simply not a fan or the LGBT community.

"Left" is not a word that I'd use in describing her. This reminds me of a 2009 video where people who wholly supported Obama were vehemently against his stance on LGBTQ rights.

So she hides it’s by saying she spontaneous. ignorance does not equate to fear. People being critically judgmental because of her perception from one video is crazy to me. Everyone has fear and insecurities that they unconsciously label as a strength to sooth there ego. I think she is aspiring to be spontaneous tho, from online dating to meeting a random person for a filmed blind date that’s going to be seen by a lot of people props ✊ Though I guess it is a normal the to do to unfairly judge people, especially your first time seeing them and exacerbate one off behaviors as “she’s ignorant” or “this person is dumb” there’s a term for this.

yeah i’m actually curious about that too! wish they discussed that more because i definitely think she had no idea what bisexual actually means, but she seemed to shut it down pretty quickly saying she just doesn’t wanna even talk about different sexualities.

Neither do girls. Most of them anyway. I’m married to a man and we are both bisexual. Lolly, I’m with you, like no, that’s a sad insecurity and if you felt that way in a bisexual relationship you’d feel that way in a straight relationship. That’s what hit me most with the ignorance. Exactly. If you're dating someone monogamously and they're bisexual, it wouldn't make a difference, and you would still have the same concern that they might cheat even if they were straight. It seems like she thinks being bisexual means that you're just out here sleeping with everybody, or that if you're bi, that means you have to have both at the same time. That's beyond ignorant.

Emma Wood I didn’t say he’s gay. I said he made statements that gave off an impression that he could possibly be bi. Something that may turn her off and not fit with her values. There’s nothing wrong with wanting a partner that shares the same values as you. You can keep poking insults about her. I highly doubt that would change her values and beliefs.

She definitely wasn't attracted to him and tried to cover it up with that. Her body language and microexpressions when she first saw him gave it away.

It isn't ignorant to correctly identify bigoted and ignorant people. People are allowed to have their own values, and I'm allowed to point out when those values are warped and based on stereotypes and homophobia. No one is immune to criticism. Period.

Bally u wont know its me I remember when I was once almost as confident in my ignorance. Being close-minded is not a virtue, especially when you're not fully educated in the bases of a given belief and following the traditions of subculture without question. At least Elias, was open enough and kind enough to acknowledge that she likely wasn't ill-intentioned and just not educated on the issue. Esp for someone who decides herself as open-minded, I hope she's actually able to honestly adopt such a way of being.
