Cheap and economical leather sewing machine for beginners 

Checked price for here in the AZ. $1380 total. That’s cheaper than that one sold by Tandy, and a lot quieter. Ordered mine today. Quick note though, if you really want a machine, save up for it. With this instant gratification society now days, nobody saves up for what they really want. I really wanted a machine so I saved up for a year and I’m paying cash, no finance charge to the bank and it’s mine. Totally worth it! Good luck out there!

I just bought one of those cheap Chinese shoe patcher machines it's really horrible but it works brilliantly, cost fifty quid and worked great straight out of the box, I'd love this machine

Nice stitch - I was surprised you did not "half-stitch" and bring the needle up when turning the corner. I will skip a stitch doing this on the Cobra (Class 4) and Juki (562, small bobin) too.

No pricing on website indicates high prices. If I have to contact someone for pricing I just move on. Nice looking machine but sorry boys not interested in a product that doesn't have pricing listed..

Old Soviet home use mashines (i.e. effetively Zinger family) can be quickly adjusted to sew leather and work quite well/cost 25-50usd.

I noticed that you didn't have to adjust the thread tension for the two weights of leather, and the bobbin thread pulled up nicely in between the thicknesses of leather. Nice. Is that the way this machine works? Does it adjust thread tension automatically to achieve this? Thanks, Ellis

I saw you had two layers of 4oz ish leather put together. I know it’s asking a lot for an industrial machine but could this sew 5oz to a hat? Or fabric? Nice machine.

Great video.., I have a console industrial model number 7360 R .I am sewing basic denim... My needle keeps breaking!! It works fine on other material.. But as soon as I get some denim under there like a hem, etc, the needle breaks Now I am using Organ Needles, 110/18. DB x 1. What is the strongest needle that I could possibly use???

What Machine is best for heavy leather belt stitching ?

I have an automotive upholstery shop. I'm self taught been doing this for twenty years or so and my old machines are shot and to small. I have access to a Juki 341 and a 441 cylinder bed machines. The only thing i don't like bout the 341 is the clearance under the presser foot that is only bout just under a half an inch. The 441 has almost onne inch. Bur some friends say that the 441 is to big and heavey for the work i do. And will not do well with auto Upholstery vinyl and cloth. The people telling me this haveo hands on with the 441. I've looked everywhere I can think and can't really find a difibatve answer. PLEASE I NEED YOUR HELP. I am in a rural area and have no other pies to talk to. So I if you can help it would be greatly appreciated. If I had the money I'd buy both cause they seem to be great machines.

You have mentioned that this machine also allows for tight , compact area. What is your recommendation of a patcher which has a very narrow small long arm? I also noticed that some machine seem to have two foots installed at the same time, one seems to help walk the materials and the other is doing the stiching. Is this kind of machine a better machine or just a change of different foots?

I'm very interested in this machine. Only one thing concerns me at 4:08 you can see the presser foot marks besides the stitching path. I make very fine leather goods so those marks would really be a problem for me. Is there a solution to that? Thanks in advance.

The slowest speed seems much too fast for precision sewing rounded corners. I see you did your demo with sharp corners. Probably better to buy something higher end first and, later, if you need a cheap second for some special products this might fit the bill.
